Starbucks Coffee Co
7 reviews for Starbucks Coffee Co
Ya have your morning coffee spots and evening coffee spots. I know of few good morning ones yet after this morning this may be that spot.
The two baristas actually convinced me that they were happy to be there at the insanely early hours of the morning..and I believed them.
And my chai was made JUST RIGHT. Good stuff.
Adequate. There's nothing particularly unique about it. It has the basics. That's it.
No free wi-fi. Absurd.
A-OK as Starbucks go. I'm content because I was able to have my internet access while on Thanksgiving vacation. They handled my order of the salted caramel hot chocolate (without salt) with ease. Sitting at the bar facing the square was nice and interesting because the seats were red plastic chairs (never seen that before at a starby's).
The staff in this Starbucks is super friendly and it's great for people watching- plus open on holidays, and I do NOT take holidays from coffee. Mobbed with Yalies during the school year.
Don't come to New Haven to go to a Starbucks. There are too many cooler locally-owned coffee shops for you to be wasting your time getting a frappe-doo-dah drink you can get anywhere else.
As somewhat of a Starbucks-addict, I feel qualified to judge how good a Starbucks is compared to other locations across the country. This one happens to be one of my favorites. The staff is much nicer than average and the service is fast. Lots of tables (often crowded, but you can usually find one) and good food selection. Large in general. On a corner with huge windows, which is nice for people watching, esp if you can get a seat at one of the tables by the window. All this said, Starbucks is still ridiculously overpriced, but you know what you're getting when you step in the door.
Very friendly staff, wifi, some of the longest hours in town.
A tip: refills are only about 50 cents, if you ask.
