I had metroed to Ballston for an upcoming event and found myself wanting some iced coffee, partly for the taste and partly for the pick-me up. I went in Ballston Mall and walked up the the Starbucks counter. While I am not a Ballston Mall fan this Starbucks is nice because it is very open and really only separated from the mall common area with a short green fence.
There were two people working. I places my order and paid. I went over and stood right at the pick-up stop and waited for my iced coffee. My drink was ready but before giving it to me he loudly announced it right in my face. I am not going to call it a yell but it was really close and certainly made me jump.
I went over to tweek my iced coffee and found there was only half-and-half available (I am a whole or 2% milk with my coffee kind of girl). Then I began looking for sweetener and they only had Equal and the pink label stuff (I am a Splenda girl). I had originally planned to sit and sip for a bit but took a look at the tables and decided I would rather head back outside for a little sunshine.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - William S.Arlington, VA2172856443Jun 1, 2014
This Starbucks located in Ballston Common Mall first floor.
Here my review. This is a in mall Starbucks. So it open with nice amount table. Only one plug outlet. Have there own restroom. Free Google Starbuck wifi. Well stock with all there coffee. Service great.
Plus there a movie theater in the same mall. Good Sushi restaurant. Don't go to the food court. Not worth the time. FYE on second floor. Also a Comic book stand with limited issue. This is ok place. If I am in the area. I come back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Diana K.Washington, DC9118731Dec 23, 2014
When I run out of time in the morning to brew my own cup o' joe at home, I go here on my way to the office. Yes, I have a Keurig and it only takes an extra 30 seconds... but sometimes I just don't have that extra 30 seconds to spare because of traffic on 395!
Despite my don't-talk-to-me-until-I've-had-my-coffee face, everyone is always cheery. And I get my orders quickly (Well, most of the time anyway. There's always a really long line between 7-9AM).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lorne E.Arlington, VA113143197Nov 1, 2014

I work in ballston mall too and with me this is the best starbuck i ever had before but yesterday i met a big lady with a lot of make up .... When I ordered my tripple expresso .... She said that was not tripple expresso that was venti white moca and charged me $16 for 2 cups of coffee .... Finally , that was not the coffee i drink everyday ... And she change to me but didn't give the money back .... What happened ??? if you were me you would pay $16 for the worst coffee like that ... Worst customer service

Starbucks has a few things people should appreciate. Their smartphone payment card is cool and the free water and restrooms are very useful. This is why i spend my money here.
The rewards card needs more real rewards for people to come everyday.
for example if i bought a plan that gave me 20 drinks a month for $40 i would stop by daily.
This is a great company though i wish theyy would not engage in capitalosfascist over charging due to their monolpoly like market share that allows them to charge whatever they likeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Christopher H.Seattle, WA408454167Jul 9, 2013
I could write a Tolstoy length review here for you to read while you wait in line, and you'd still be done before you received your cup of joe.
The best word you could use to describe this location is "sloooooow...." Very, very slow. 5 people in line, 6 people behind the counter, and it still took 10 minutes to get my cup of iced coffee. Granted, the people behind the counter seemed to be working. On what, I'm not sure. Although to be fair I'm not sure they knew either.
The coffee, once I got it, was Starbucks coffee, which is to say it was just fine. But certainly not worth the wait.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
