I took a friend from out of town here on a tour and it was surprisingly good.  Our tour guide was late 20s/early 30s social studies teacher who volunteered there and he was excellent.  None of the "these were the good ol' days of the south' weirdness that I was expecting.  A straight-forward histrical tour with interesting tidbits interspersed.  I'm taking my parents here soon and I hope its just as good.
