Located at the base of Pikes Peak, the town of Manitou Springs is a charming place to spend a beautiful clear sky afternoon. There are natural springs where you can drink seltzer water straight from the ground. A very unique taste and not at all what I was expecting from a natural water spring.

My friends and I were walking looking for a restaurant to eat at when we saw the Stagecoach Inn. It looked like a genuine old time restaurant and as it turns out, it was built over a century ago. I just can't say "no" to that mom and pop atmosphere.

As an appetizer, I got the quail soup. It was really good, but I wished that there were more pieces of quail inside. Couldn't quite taste the richness of the meat. For the main course, I ordered the Stagecoach Driver's Stuffed Steak, which was a steak stuffed with stuffing, cheese and other herbs. I've always liked dishes that are unique, so I tried it out. Honestly, it was not bad at all, but the next time I go, I will have to try out their famous bison.

An old time, hearty restaurant, with a nice relaxed atmosphere. I especially liked the Colorado, old west cuisine. I will be going back next time I'm back in Manitou Springs.

Hmmm... "creekside dining".  Well, the beer selection is really good.  The food... not so much.  The fish sandwich had nothing to it - not really what I would expect for $9, and the burger was just ok.

I stopped at the Stagecoach Inn on the way in, toward the deeper crevices of the southwest mountain range.
we encountered a bartender that put love into the drinks he made.  Bruce was passionate about the quality of his work, and where he worked.  we were so impressed that we stopped again for dinner on the way home.

amidst the local bars on the main strip in town, the Stagecoach's lounge is, by far, the most comfortable; adorned with rich mahogany finishes, a thick wood bar, and two very warm fireplaces.
the menu boasts a nice steak selection, along with pheasant, bison, and moose.  there is an early bird menu and daily specials.

there is a full bar of interesting wines and spirits, and a generous happy hour, as well.
next time you venture west from Colorado Springs into Manitou Springs, make sure you stop at this great spot.

Nice, rustic, friendly pub and restaurant. Stopped in with a friend and had appetizers and drinks. The hostess was very friendly and made us feel welcomed right away. Our server was also friendly and gave us a chance to talk without ignoring us or checking on us too much.

Some of the appetizers might sound exotic, but were closer to the typical variety. We ordered the Wild Game Quesadillas (though not unusual tasting as I imagined it might be) and the onion rings (kind of ordinary) to snack on. I also had the Stagehand Black Bean Chili, which wasn't spicy but tasted pretty good. My friend had the Smoked Pheasant Chowder which he said was quite good.

Good place to stop in for a quick bite to eat and a drink. If you're a tourist, be sure to take your camera for a picture opportunity by the stagecoach outside the restaurant.

At the end of a long day of traveling, this place was perfect to unwind and enjoy some beer & steak! It's a very cozy and rustic restaurant. The menu is full of old favorites done well. Our group of seven got seated on the patio so we can take in the cool Colorado summer evening. Visiting from LA, the outdoor air was a feast in itself!

I had no complaints with my juicy med-rare ribeye with the fluffy baked potato. The waiter recommended the local hefeweizen which was smooth, sweet and perfect for the cool night.

Speaking of the waiter, he provided amazing service to our party of seven. The six of us (obviously excluding me) were Japanese tourists who spoke broken English. The waiter was patient enough to wait until everybody understood the menu and made recommendations to make sure everybody got exactly what they wanted. He also made sure we celebrated a birthday in the group with a free slice of cake! He went out of the way to accommodate us in every way possible. And we made sure our tip reflected his service!

When I'm back in the area, I'll make sure to stop by again! During a vacation, you need a place like this to unwind at night!

Stagecoach Inn. This long-time touristy Manitou place does decent job. Decent value as the servings are large. Food is good but not great. Good selection of beers and wine.
