Just came here last thursday for happy hour. Wow, it was my first time and the drink deals are definitely unbeatable. $2???? come on, you can't beat that. And that's not all, it's 2 dollars for everything with the house liquor. So me and my girls got a redbull vodka and two dirty martinis for 6 bux pre-tax. Dude, those drinks are usually not even part of the happy hour specials!
So what if it's cheap vodka? once it's in a mixed drink, you can't tell the difference. Don't be high maintenance =P.
I didn't get to try their famous burgers yet, I will next time!
I've eaten here so many time... I'm surprised I haven't blessed this establishment with a yelp!
St John's is just the place for a REALLY GOOD burger or cheese steak. My favourite is the jalapeno burger. I would recommend a beer and a couple friends with that. This place is great; great atmosphere, great food, great service, and you can pretty much see a TV no matter where you sit.
I highly recommend you give this place a chance. You won't regret it.
Big daddy....I was told of that name so many times, I started to think that that was the name of the place. But no, its St John's.....and if you shout out "I love St John," you win concert tix and cool prizes........wait, wrong St John....here instead, you get half off your burger on Saturdays.
Came here with a few friends and did some real damage:
-Big Daddy - 3 patties with cheese, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce.....I don't think I could ever pay $12 for this mere burger. It supposedly had everything, but really its just extra patties and cheese. Although their meat patties are good and juice with lots of flavor, this burger seemed to have lost its balance when the meat and saltiness overpowered everything else. In this case, the creator probably just got greedy and tried to accomodate the meat lovers.
-Bacon and Cheese Fries - If it wasn't so cold, it would have been good I believe....sour cream is a great addition, feels like eating a fried baked potato
-Buffalo Wings - Mediocre..not worth $7 of course.
My thighs hate you St. John's! I am sure there are healthy options on the menu like salad but how can I order salad when I see cheesesteaks, fried zucchini, onion rings, bacon and cheese fries, etc on the menu.
I have been to St. John's multiple times for lunch, work lunches, dinner, post softball drinks and it never fails to deliver delicious American grub and cold beer quickly. This place deals with a very high volume of customers and I never have to wait more than 5 minutes for my food- quite impressive St. John's!
Every night of the week there is some type of happy hour deal and these happy hours will make you happy- they span for hours and most times the food is half off! My parents always hit up Saturdays for the half price burgers.
I went there last night, Friday night with some friends, and being that it was half price appetizer night ordered 3 appetizers and a pitcher of Blue Moon to share which ended up being ~$25. I love the fried zucchini slices, the chicken fingers were standard, nothing special, and the meat quesadilla (recommended to me by the cashier) was quite tasty. The dining experience was quite pleasant with the exception of a man wearing a denim shirt with looney tunes characters embroidered on it- seriously it was disturbing.
My only complaint is that it can be difficult to find a seat with a good view of the sports games on. Something about the layout doesn't facilitate easy sports watching, especially if you are sitting in a booth.
Next time you are out with a bunch of hungry males, take them here and they will love you forever. Females will love you too but if they are like me, will hate you because they will want to keep coming back!
St. John's is such a boy's place. It's the ultimate sports bar/restaurant. I had always thought of BJ's and Hooters as great places to watch a game, but St. John's seriously leaves them in the dust. With huge burgers, cheap beer, and dozens of other raging fans, St. John's is one to beat.
I have never been a fan of burgers, but St. John's has changed my mind. There's a huge variety of burgers: Veggie, reg Beef, Kobe, Chicken, and Cheesesteak. They all come in a basket with a side of Lay's potato chips. I wouldn't mind leaving the Lay's behind or at least getting a few other options to choose from. However, I think they do this to keep it simple.
I ordered the Cajun Chicken Sandwich, which I thought was pretty phenomenal. It was packed with flavor, and it had the perfect amount of spice. What I loved most about my burger was the fact that it was real chicken. Unlike most fast food joints and some pitiful restaurants, St. John's cooks a real and fresh piece of chicken. To top things off, lettuce and tomatoes are fresh, too. Nothing beats crisp cold lettuce on a burger. YUM.
My friend ordered the Beg for Mercy Veggie Burger that she had been raving about and rip-off orange juice that seemed to come out of a bottle and into a small champagne glass. Most of the guys ordered the Mushroom Cheesesteak. I was sooo jealous when I saw the Mushroom Cheesesteak; I will definitely be ordering that one the next time around. We also all shared a basket of garlic fries. They were surprisingly good for not being as fresh and having no real garlic bits. They were crispy (in a weird, old oil kind of way) and were sprinkled with garlic powder.
I really enjoyed my experience at St. John's. I'd visit more often if the pricing weren't so high. A burger and fountain drink will easily drain your wallet of a good $10. The long line and wait isn't so attractive, either. However, what is attractive is that this joint is a freaking hot-guy magnet. Maybe I will come by on a night when there's no game on so that they can actually stop high-fiving each other and pay attention to me :D
this is the spot to be when you're craving a burger. I usually stick to the vegetarian burger with fries and an order of jalapeño poppers. I love love love their "beg for mercy" burger. It is ridiculously hot but oh so gooDD!!
The burgers fill you up pretty quickly, it is a decent size and it comes with a side order of small lays chips. I'm not too fond of the lays chips because they are usually crushed by the time you open the bag.
The drinks are also pretty good there.
The line gets pretty ridiculous during lunch time, many times out the door. It does by pretty quick though, and most of the time you can find a seat right away.
I would come here from time to time when I'm craving a really good burger.
Mmmm, burgers....
St. John's is the local place to go for a great burger, I usually stick with a basic cheeseburger and fries, but my friends also order the chicken burgers and the "Beg For Mercy." If you want pickles for your burger, you have to ask for them, they aren't automatic, and definitely order your fries extra crispy, otherwise they're too soft. And, if you're not in the mood for fries, try the onion rings, they're pretty yummy, too.
Well I got a cheese steak but missed out on the Cheese Whiz. I sent the BF to put in the order so I could save a seat and he forgot to specify the "original" Philly. I wasn't too disappointed though because the regular is awesome! There weren't any gristle parts to be found in the meat and the cheese was thick and gooey, just how it should be.
Once again we took advantage of the Friday special for 1/2 price appetizers. The fried zucchini was very nice but came with a weak, mayo tasting, dip. The zucchini was still fairly crunchy inside of the fried batter goodness and made me think they should carry fried pickles too.
Oh darn, I have to try again for the Cheese Whiz cheese steaks = )

FINALLY a decent burger in San Jose! Woohoo! I always get a double with cheese for my "first" time. It is the only way to thoroughly taste the meat. None of the bacon, jalapenos or blue cheese to muck up the tasting. Just straight burger the first time.
I have been on a dedicated search for years for the best burger. I have yet to find one better than Burger Bar in Vegas, (but that place is expensive and a definite splurge and so worth an average of $30 a burger). San jose, well the only place so far I have found a halfway decent burger was in n out and Billy Birks.
The SLIDERS place was disgusting, how it gets such high rating is beyond me. I was very skeptical of this place because it ranks right up there with Sliders.
I finally went on half off burgers Wednesday and wow a huge delicious perfectly cooked (medium rare) flavorful burger! I seldom eat the WHOLE double, but i did here. It was that good! $4 for at least a pound of delicious burger, well I was one happy camper! They use real cheese and the bun held together nicely.
Let me also give props to them for the beer battered onion rings ($4)! OMG they were the BEST i have ever had. Crispy, hot, perfect batter, you could actually taste the beer! I am not a huge onion ring fan, but i was downing these puppies!
The chicken wings ($6.95) however sucked balls! They tasted gamy and had no kick. They were served with blue cheese (which is what it should be served with always)
I spit it out after a bite and went back to my burger.
My friend had the jalapeno burger and loved every bite! I tasted it and it was good, but not as good as mine.
Our order came out piping hit and with in 2 shakes of a martini glass. The bartender mixed a perfect cosmo.
They also have a great selection of beer with monthly featured brews.
All in all the place should get a four because of the wings, but maybe they were a bad batch i will give them the benefit of the doubt since it was so dirt cheap! $20 for 2 burgers and 2 apps!
Love the blue burger! The cheese steaks are so so. The half chicken lunch special cooked outside with that great BBQ smell stinking up Silicon Valley is the bomb.
My only question is: why do you get a little bag of chips when you order fries?
Yelpers swear by this place and a few weekends ago I loaded up the hubby and our toddler to try it out. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were happy to find every Saturday burgers are half price. Woohoo. Mama loves a deal.
We ordered a cheeseburger kids meal, a cheesebuger, a double cheeseburger and a basket of fries. We also had a beer.
The burgers were piping hot and yummy, the fries were lukewarm. My burger was juicy and delicious but could have used some seasoning.
Overall, it was one of the better burgers I've had recently but certainly not the best one ever. We'll go back though -- I can't resist half priced burgers. And it was kid friendly enough for my toddler.
Hidden away from the expressway traffic is a goldmine. St. John's burgers are classic, mouth watering, grilled to perfection beef patties. Add on a side of garlic fries and winnah! There really isn't any burger or sandwich on the menu that isn't good (that I've tried).
Why in the heck didn't anyone tell me about this sooner? Where was this during my high school years? Who is responsible for this? That's okay, we'll make up for it. This one is a definite must try for burger lovers.
Anyway, it's usually fairly crowded, but the parking shouldn't be a problem.
St. John's Bar & Grill is a Great place to start a night out: This is a great place to catch a late dinner before going out on the weekends. Depending on which night you go It can be pretty loud, so it's not the best place for intimate conversation or a date. It's a fun place, and the food was good.
I will go back again for sure !
Oh my goodness! I love their BBQ Chicken sandwich. It is huge and delicious.
My husband and mom ordered the freshly grilled kabobs one time and liked them.
I just don't like those crappy small bags of lays they serve with sandwiches. It's seems cheap.
I can get over it though because I love that Chicken Sandwich.
Make sure to check on their daily specials. Great deals!
Love it! All in all, good food, lots of fries and tons of fun!
My new go to spot. Typing this makes my mouth water.
Btw, they have daily specials. Saturday is 1/2 off burgers :)
I love this place! The burgers are great, the prices are fair, and the service is fast even when the line is out the door. I've tried a few different burgers, but most of the time I get the Bleu Bacon Burger. The bacon thick and the blue cheese is plentiful. I recommend getting the half and half fries and onion rings. They are perfect.
Other restaurants could really learn a lot from this place on how to complete an order in a timely fashion. I usually go at 11:30am to beat the rush, but even when the line is out the door they are so organized and the food is so good any wait is easily forgotten.
I've gone a couple times for dinner, too. The nightly specials are great deals. Depending on the day you can get an excellent deal on a cheese steak, burger, or appetizer. They also have low priced pitchers of beer.
The atmosphere is cool if you're a bay area sports fan. Pictures of Niner greats hang in the booth sections, They have big screen TVs and other smaller ones around the place so you don't miss a highlight.
Burgers are really good. I had the kobe #1, with bleu cheese and serrano chillies, bacon, tomato, onions, and lettuce (maybe there are additional items in it but I didn't notice amidst all those deliciousness).
Burgers are really really really good when it's wednesday night, where they have half off all burgers. LOVE IT. Other than wednesday night, I agree it's probably a little bit steep in price. I think it was about $9.95 for my kobe burger. Regular cheese burger is $6.75, if you're wondering.
Beer battered onion rings are the BOMB. Fries are just whatever. First time I ordered fries, they were stuck to each other so I've never ordered them again. Besides, onion rings are so much better anyway.
Maybe it's just me, but I've never felt bloated with fat and sodium whenever I eat here, unlike the feeling I always have when I have size wise equivalent burgers over at McDonalds or Carl's JR.
If you're here to grab some lunch, the lines are hella long, but they move pretty fast. Order some burgers, cheesesteak, chicken burgers, or salad (but why?), grab a pitcher of beer, and head outside in a nice day. Bliss.
I had the awesome Roasted Garlic & Bleu Cheese Burger. Taste was great however the burger was a bit small. You would think that for $7.95 you would get fries with your burger. Nope! Just the smallest bag of potato chips you've ever seen comes complimentary with your burger.
This place is home to my friends and I every thursday night. No, seriously, it's like literally HOME to us. As in, we could have our mail delivered here. As in, Bank of America will call me and ask if I have lost or misplaced my check card if they happen to notice that there is no St. John's charge on my account that week. Thanks, Bank of America, but no, everything is fine. I just used cash or one of my pals miraculously picked up the tab this week.
Back to St. John's. St. John's is great any day or night of the week but Thursday nights are $4.50 domestic pitchers night until 8pm! As I write this it is Monday night and I am already counting the hours until Thursday evening. Not only that but the atmosphere is pleasant and usually plenty of seating. Burgers are to die for, and they pump those bad boys out like they're going out of style. Which they are not! Seriously, if you make it back to your seat after ordering your burger before the table pager goes off you must have either A) ordered that mother extra well done or B) ticked off the cashier taking the order.
See you thursday, John! Only I can call him "John" with out the "St." cause we're tight like that.
Great burgers, half price on Saturdays - sweet! Long line - not so sweet. Be efficient - grab a beer from the bar before you get in line. Selection of beer on tap is sufficient - nothing special but something for everyone. Definitely room for improvement on the appetizers, mostly all fried finger foods. How about adding sweet potato fries to the menu? They're all the rage these days. And please just drop the puny bag of chips that comes with each burger. The environmental impact of that makes me cringe. But since I'm there to eat a burger, I guess it would be pretty hypocritical to strike off a star because of it!
My friend took my husband and I to St. John's and we were pleasantly surprised.
The burgers are huge and made with premium ingredients. The beef patties are tasty and the toppings are fresh and in generous proportions. I got the roasted pepper and jack burger and it was delicious. The fries were also tasty and a generous portion: one basket was plenty for three people.
Although it was crowded on the Saturday we went for lunch, once we ordered our pager went off almost immediately. We hardly had time to fill our glasses and find a table. The Saturday special was great: half off all burgers!
My only suggestion would be to reconfigure the seating. It seems St. John's could get more seating inside if they removed some dividers and opened some walls. Just a thought since it seems constantly busy there.
Next time I'm in the area and I'm hungry, I'll be back!
After reading about this on yelp, I REALLY wanted to like this, but it was just A-OK.
The burgers were alright and the fries were good, but at fourteen dollars for a burger/fries/soda, this better be orgasmic. I barely finished half of the monster and thought my blue cheese burger was a bit too blue... I do like these usually, but this was excessively stinky and flavorful.
The menu was really extensive though; I probably just got the wrong thing (though everything was around the $ame price range$). I'd really only recommend coming here in the EVENING when they have the half off specials...and Saturdays when the burgers are half off the whole day. Weirdly enough, its super packed at lunch despite the exorbitant prices (mainly because of its locale and lack of food competition in the area).
Other than that St.John's is just another overpriced burger joint in expensive ass office-ville. Guess its hard knock life being a priest with a burger & sports bar...
Cliff's Notes:
* Hella $$$ ($14 gets you burger/fries/soda ZOMG FAIL)
* Not worth it
* Only come when there are specials [you can check online]
* Hella crowded at lunch
Amen
A great local spot to hangout with your buddies for a few drinks and some good burgers. They have a nice large outdoor patio area to enjoy, and a small bar inside with a few LCD TVs all around to watch any sport games that might be going on. I came here last night and watched the opening night NFL game for the season, Steelers vs. Titans. The regular prices are on the pricey side for a burger, but they do offer different specials each day to make it worth it. Last night I ended up getting:
-Kobe Burger #2 (http://static.px.yelp....)
-Onion Rings (http://static.px.yelp....)
-Double Vodka Cranberry (http://static.px.yelp....)
Kobe Burger #2 (4 Stars): This burger offered caramelized onions, bacon, and sauteed mushrooms. Wow, the burger was amazing. The Kobe Beef was so good and tender, and the meat was cooked just right and was extremely juicy.
Onion Rings (4.5 Stars): The Onion Rings were really good. The beer batter made them crispy and very flavorful. I will make sure to order these on all my future visits! =P
Summary (4 Stars): A fun place with great burgers, plenty of space, with a chill atmosphere.
These burgers are BOMB. I really enjoyed my Jalapeno burger. It was soo good, probably the best I've had. I'm a huge burger fan so I will be coming back and luckily my mom lives right up the street so when I come to see her we'll be coming here as well :)
My boyfriend got a chicken teriyaki sandwich and did not like it at all. But the fries were good.
The bathroom was kind of hard to find and extremely small. And its cafeteria style.. you order at the front, pay and get a buzzer and find a table. Come to the front and get your food once the buzzer goes off. I like it better this way so it works for me.
We will be coming back! Great burgers!
They have a nice big patio outside. My Burger was huge and it was great. The garlic fries were pretty good, the worst part is standing in line to order ,It takes for ever....
St. John's is THE Happy Hour spot in Sunnyvale...
Overpowering smell of delicious garlic greets you at the door and the Philly Cheese steak served East Coast Style is quite fabulous (but I won't comment on whether it tastes like Philly, since I really don't know).
My boyfriend and his group of friends is there every Thursday to drink straight from pitchers. But at $4.50 a pitcher, is there even a reason to grab a glass?
Our group multiplies quickly and the accommodating patio lends itself well to table-manipulations.
By all reports, the calamari is good enough to drive out of your way to grab, the chicken tenders are great for bar food and the garlic fries are an absolute MUST to sample.
I'll be back with a more extensive report on their food, specials and drinks.
I'm not a burger/cheese steak person, but sitting among 2 dozen enthusiastic Yelpers and watching them eat garlic fries and big, juicy burgers turn out to be too big a temptation. Upon Linda's recommendation, I got myself a "beg for mercy" cheese steak. A cheese steak with a name like that is supposed to be thermonuclear, but it really wasn't. I think it needs to beg for my mercy, or at least it owes me an apology. Being the son of a nuclear physicist, I must have a different notion of what "spicy" truly means.
That said, it's not a bad beg-for-mercy at all. It was good to the last skeletal muscle. The Cabernet I had before the meal was sensational, too. A sizable outdoor patio and a big, maze-like interior complete the California touch. I know exactly what this place is good for - after a weekend morning exercise session, be it a hike up the Santa Cruz, a ride up Page Mill, or a 2-hr long gym session, you stroll into this place for an ungodly unhealthy meal, go home and wash off the sweat and Gilroy-like smell.
Super busy, long lines, daily specials, rockin' burgers, and excellent cheese fries. Come with a lot of people and order the cheese fries! There's no way you can eat them by yourself (but you'll wish you could).
Half off hamburgers on Wednesdays and I think Saturdays. Woot! First time going after being drilled on why I haven't been here for the longest.
Wow, the guacamole bacon burger is worth the $4.25. Comes with a side of chips and man, a great all american dinner.
Also ordered the roasted garlic and blue cheese burger $3.97 and that wasn't all that great.. probably wouldn't order it again. I'm all for the guaco bacon burger.
Service was cool, busy place, line was practically out the door. Outdoor seating is awesome but if you don't like that atmosphere they also have indoor seating.
Busboy was kinda strange but showed that he was a hardcore laborer. You go busboy, you go!
Definitely would come back, especially on the half off days!
1/2 off cheesesteaks on Mondays (4pm-9pm, dine-in only)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally!!! I was able to make it on a Monday! It's been really difficult with overtime at work, but I was sooo happy to finally try their cheesesteaks today!! I sound like a pregnant woman, but I've been having the most random food cravings. And yes, I'm still craving a burrito... haha Today, I was really craving a cheesesteak because I knew that St. John's has their 1/2 off cheesesteaks every MONDAY!!!
I tried the regular cheesesteak ($8.25 orig.) and the combo ($9.75 orig.). The regular looks inky dink and not quite as filling compared to the combo (which has grilled green bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions)! They were both greasy and good!!!
I like coming on Mondays... definitely not as crowded as Wednesdays (1/2 off burgers) and Thursdays ($1.99 well drinks and $4.50 pitchers). As soon as we ordered and sat down, our pager thing was buzzing!!! Amazingly quick and yummy!!! :)
Oh and while waiting in line, I saw they have this new Kobe burger! o.O Must try next time at Linda's UYE next month, yeah?!

i love their mushroom Philly cheesesteak! Be aware that the crowd on Fridays are off the hook.. Prepare for a 30 minute wait.
Finally ate here on Friday with some friends.
I guess they got happy hour specials every night of the week that are posted from the ceiling in front of the line. Had a Kobe Beef burger #2 for around $10 that comes with a bag of potato chips. Pretty good burger. Appetizers were half off on Fridays. Other nights of the week they got happy hour specials on stuff like beer, cheese steaks (look pretty bomb - will have to try next time), sandwiches, etc. They give you a vibrating beeper that goes off when your food is ready. Gets pretty packed around dinner time. Probably usually takes 15-20 minutes to get your food. They got sports games on the flat screen TVs. Got around 15-20 beers on tap too.
HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS:

3.5 stars once again.
I demolished a (cheddar) cheezburger, and enjoyed it. Soft buns and tasty patty=win. I also liked the buzzer thing that beeps when our burgers are ready. These are wholly necessary because the place is huge and BUSTLING.
Best burgers in town though? I vote no. In-and-out still takes the prize for me...
Tip: Come on Wed after 4pm or Sat for half-off burgers. Thanks Ron L.
Now this is what I'm talking about. St John's is a Silicon Valley institution. I've been coming here for over a decade. Whatever you get it's going to be good. Burgers, chicken sandwich, fries, onion rings are all great. All the sandwiches come with a bag of Lays that has like 5 chips in it. I never understood that, but who needs them.
Yes, it can get packed, the line can get long and it can be hard to find a table if you hit it at just the wrong time. No fuss counter service. Just go. It's a good time.
Solid place for a beer, burger and some fries. I usually come here for lunch (even though their weekday specials start after 4pm) and there's always a crowd.
This time I got the kobe burger. Now, I really can't believe that the burger was Kobe beef, since it was for less than $10, but it was still good. Grilled onions, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, the only problem was the HUGE oily bun. The fries were very greasy also, but still delicious.
Nothing to go out of your way for, but if you're looking for a lunch or after-work beer and burger, this is your place.
I finally made it to Burger Bash for Linda's UYE and I am so glad I did! 1/2 price burgers? Hell yes! Hamburgers are my addiction and I needed a fix!! I'm always on the hunt for the BEST burger. I had never heard of St. John's so I didn't have any of the hype - overall I would call it satisfactory. Keep in mind The Counter did not WOW me either.
I went with the pinapple teri burger and onion rings (extra crispy as recommended by Yvonne), by the time I had sat down and said hello to everyone my order was up. First I tasted the burger in its natural state - grilled pinapple ring, grilled onion, lettuce, a thin light teri sauce and the immense moist patty on a regular bun, no seeds. Pretty good, good meat texture, juicy and no gristle. It didn't have the meatiness that I prefer from a coarser grind of the meat, but definitely a step up from the frozen premade patties. Bun was cold, would have been nice if it were toasted or grilled. Teri sauce wasn't particularly noteworthy, it was very light and watery. Ok, now for the special treatment - a generous slathering of Linda's homemade buffalo sauce!! NOW I CAN EAT.
Rings were a bit greasy but the crispy batter was well worth the extra oil.
Cool patio outside, TVs inside, it's a chill place to catch the game and a few beers. Being close to one of the offices I work in is awesome and pretty much sums up why I would return for future visits. My search for a truly great burger continues.
Service = order at the window, take the pager and pick it up yourself.
Yeah, help yourself to napkins, condiments and silverware as well.
Burger = okay. I had the guaco burger. I was disappointed with the burger patty...needs seasoning! Maybe I just picked the wrong burger.
Fries = yummy. We ordered the basket of fresh cut ones...and split three ways, it was almost all gone by the end of the meal.
Uhm...so the burgers all come with this .5 oz of Lays potato chips...just noting it is very odd. (I remember it was a treat of sorts as a kid but I loathe this stuff in adulthood....lol)
Seating = ample. Plenty indoors and nice open patio area outside.
Prices = moderate. But if you come on certain days...they have specials. Like today's special: 1/2-priced burgers! So we had a burger and a basket of fries for under $9! O.O
Parking = a snooze. :)
This is a fun place with decent (I did not say great) food, ample room, and a great place to gab with friends. :)
They're daily specials are just awesome! I'm not a huge fan for burgers, but they're so juicy here, I don't mind venturing out every now and then...especially on 1/2 off Saturdays! 1/2 off burgers for the entire day! Who does that!?!! Only the cool people do. And St. John's is definitely cool.
I'll typically come out here on Mon or Tues instead for the 1/2 off cheesesteak and chicken burger deals. The fries are really good too. I like to ask them to cook it extra crispy and it's just that much better.
Highlights for St. John's:
1) It's usually not that crowded on a weekday after 4pm
2) Cheap delicious food that will make you drool
3) Best burgers in town
What else can a girl ask for? I don't eat to live, I live to eat!! Hear me roar!
Average fare at best with a touch overpriced menu unless you go on their special half off days and I dislike having to have a restaurant dictate to me when I can go to them to get a decent priced meal.
The place is a dungeon. Dark wood, little natural lighting unless you sit outside or near the entrance. Ordering, you go up to the cashier and I've been there a handful of times and never received a smile or that welcoming feel from them. Fine. Whatever. You're a fast food joint gussied up to look like a full service restaurant with a bar. I'm a man. I can deal. Gimme my pager and I'll wait for my order.
I ordered a philly cheesesteak with cheesewiz, fries and drink. 12 bucks. A bit overpriced. The sandwich was nothing special, the wiz barely dented the blandness. All sandwiches come with these little bags of chips so if you're a light eater, might want to hold off on ordering sides.
I really wanted to love this place since 1) it's so close to my house 2) to follow the herd instinct seeing all the other locals coming here during lunch and dinner. Sorry, Johnny. I can't. It's just ok. With the other great options in town, this joint is low priority.
The friendiest staff there are the cooks which you talk to to pick up your food. The cashiers can suck it.
Best burgers in town my ass. Must've had that up there before In'N'Out moved up to Nor Cal.
I give the restaurant four stars because of the Mon-Sat deals. My friend and I came Tue. We ordered the chicken because it was 50% off. The food is 3.5 stars and better than Carl's Jr. Overall, it's four stars. The restaurant is clean and there is a bar. There are enough TVs to watch sports.
Customers walk to the back and order and pay their food. Fountain drinks are unlimited refills. Pick up the food to the right of the cashiers when your buzzer buzzes.
I come back again if I'm in the area and need to eat lunch. And if there is a good sports game, I come because my household doesn't have cable, lol.
