This place is great.  I have been there twice with a total of 8 people and everyone's meal was great both times.

http://stclouds.com/Ne...

Order either chicken with farro or the parmigiano crusted pork.  Also, don't be afraid to order the fish of the day as they don't overcook it.  The ribs are good too as long as you're willing to be the messy one at the table.

You read a lot about hipsters on Yelp.  Nevertheless, there is still such thing as a Yuppie, and you'll find plenty at St.Clouds.  You will get to hear lots of kids hollering in the background too.

The four stars for St. Clouds are largely based on the goaty-good bruschetta appetizer.  Half the bruschetta slices were topped with a delicious abundance of creamy goat cheese and sautéed onions.  The other half also had goat cheese, but instead, were topped with sweet fig slices.  For a palate refresher, the appetizer came with sweet red grapes.  An excellent dish.

One of our servers was an animated and smiley guy who cheerfully rattled off the specials.  The specials sounded good, but we picked from the menu.

Service seemed slightly confused, because a waitress first asked us what our drink requests were, and then the guy came by a few minutes later also asked for our drink orders.  The same thing happened again when we placed our entrée orders.

We ordered the pork chop and the ribeye steak.  The pork chop had a nice smoky flavor and came with potato wedges.  The potato wedges were a little oily but had a nice crispiness and were just lightly salted.

The ribeye steak entrée was okay.  The steak was cooked exactly to my specification (medium with some, but not too much, pink in the center) and was very tender.  It was topped with "mushroom butter" that really didn't have much flavor. The steak sat atop two cheese polenta cakes that were tasty.  Also, the entrée came with green beans.

The flavors for items in the steak entrée were all good, but the combination of the fat in the steak, the butter/oil on the beans and the cheese in the polenta cakes really weighed the plate down.  Sorry to say, but just too much grease.

For dessert we got a slice of the coconut-tequila cake and the blueberry pie.  The cake had a nice dense texture but the butter frosting was a little overwhelming.

I didn't care for the blueberry pie because they had added a huge amount of lime juice, so it tasted like lime, not blueberry.  It comes with a small dollop of whipped cream.  For $1.50, you can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

St Clouds is everything a neighborhood restaurant should be.  Excellent atmosphere, quiet, and very good food.  Produce is from full circle farms which is always excellent.  The food is like home cooking, not loaded up with butter so you feel very good afterwards.  Entrees range anywhere from $10 (hamburger) to $27 (new york steak or sauteed fish with crab).

Superior brunch as well.  Try the seasonal omelet as their veggies are just the freshest.

They even have music on certain nights (see their site).  Great find!

The Special : Seafood crepe sans hollandaise sauce = Happy KTown.

I love my Imperial Mix Up, but today I opted for the special and it was fantastic. eggs, thick pieces of bacon, salmon, white fish, with pesto and collards.

These guys can't do any wrong. Everytime we've been here, the food's been great and the service has been awesome. Throw in the fact that they have massive windows they'll open up (no screens) with blooming flowerboxes in their front window and you really do feel like you're dining at a mom 'n' pop in Smalltown, USA.

Perhaps it helped that we had friends that arrived a few minutes early for our 11 am brunch, but I swear we only waited five minutes, which is spectacular for a Sunday morning and a party of six. Our table? In the BACKYARD. Garden? Something like that. Several patio tables set up in the grass with umbrellas to shield us from the already-blazing sun.
The wait was a bit lengthy, but def. worth it. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, which arrived on a generous slice of Essentials Bakery bread, and was topped with chopped tasso instead of canadian bacon. A winner. Hashbrowns were pretty generic, but worked well with the spicy-ness of the tasso/hollandaise that had a little extra kick to it. Always been a fan of this spot, one of these days I need to make it up there for dinner. Well done.

The first time I came here I was going to give St. Clouds 5 stars. Why am I not you ask yourself? LET ME TELL YOU.
3 times, THREE TIMES, I have shown up to St.Clouds at 11pm only to find out that they are closed. The first time, before I left my house (I live about 2 blocks away) I specifically checked the website for their hours and it states EVERY day until midnight. I walk over there, closed. I let that pass. The following week, I do the same. Closed. YESTERDAY - I convince someone to drive out here and meet me there, it was 10:55 when I got there. Closed.
Jackass! I dont care if the place is empty - I want your delicious cheap yuppie food and I want it NOW. Im a good tipper, I swears. So please, wont you just either 1) change your hours of "operation" or 2) STAY OPEN.
Mahalo.
On to their food - its DELICIOUS. Great wine list, prices that I adore, and specials that vary every night that are TO DIE FOR. Last time I went I had their nightly fish special - wow. I inhaled it like a crack head that just got that "good shiz" on Aurora. Then I consumed the bottle of red wine.
Come here, you will love it, but if you don't mind, please don't bring your kids, they ruin things for me. (The wheelies they wear, the screaming - makes my food buzz go away)

Went here for brunch with my girlfriends on a Saturday morning, and was eager to try out this well-reviewed little slice of Madrona.  Upon entering we saw a host station, but weren't sure if it was self seating as we were ignored by the host for a good 5 minutes.  The odd thing was, he kept passing by us, occasionally smiling, but awkwardly shuffling by until finally he asked my friend, "How many in your party?"

When we were finally seated, he added a 2 extra menu's, and our table for 4 seemingly became a table for 6...Odd.  Bewildered, we just ordered orange juice and mimosas, and once he returned reminded the host, "we only have 4 people."  He seemed totally confused, and insisted we'd said "party of 4" as he pushed the tables away.  Bizarre.

Anyway - it was uphill once the food part of the dining experience began.  Our server was much friendlier than our host, jolly, and amiable.  The brunch menu was plentiful, we each ordered different things, and everyone's plate looked delicious.  I had the asiago, pancetta, and collard green scramble which was surprisingly scrumptious, with a side of crispy hash browns.  The stuffed french toast looked magazine-cover worthy, and they catered to my friend's gluten/dairy free allergies without complaint.

All in all, a great little brunch place, if not just for the food, then for the after brunch stroll around Madrona.  Hopefully next time we'll get a warmer welcome.

St Cloud's is easily the best brunch in Madrona, with a menu that adeptly combines familiar (corned beef hash, eggs Benedict...) with unexpected (collard green pesto, fried rice with Portuguese sausage) and just the right atmosphere for a drawn-out weekend morning.

The food is similar to what you would get at a Chow restaurant (Coastal Kitchen, Atlas, Hi-Life...) but a bit cheaper and often with a pastry or slice of coffee cake thrown in for kicks.  I'm a particular fan of the "Imperial mix-up" (the aforementioned fried rice and sausage...or tempeh, if that's your thing) and the pepper-filled corned beef hash.

Although service is always friendly, the restaurant feels perpetually one waiter short of being fully-staffed.  Sometimes it takes a non-trivial amount of effort to flag down a host, and there have occasionally been very long waits for coffee refills.  I'm not too uptight about this sort of thing, but would probably find the service hiccups annoying if I were on a tight schedule or trying to impress someone with the restaurant.  Do note that grumpy types who hate children would hate this restaurant (and just about anything else in Madrona, I guess).

Aside from the service confusion, there's really no reason to complain.  The food is cheap, tasty, and satisfying.  A brunch that hits all three of those notes is well worth the effort of getting out of bed early on a weekend.

Went here last Saturday for brunch, 1/31/09

We were seated promptly by the kitchen station at one of the booths.  I ordered the Country Fried Steak with eggs over easy and my better half had the Corned Beef Hash.  I also had a large orange juice and she had an iced tea.

This visit has definitely made me upgrade my previous 3.5 rating to now a 5.  Our orders were cooked perfectly. Now I am a big fan of their country fried steak. The gravy was awesome. My better half liked her corn beef as well. It was the first time she had corn beef shredded as opposed to it being mashed or ground up, it was a pleasant surprise for her. We also had a chance to finally taste Grandma's Sour Cream coffee cake and it was excellent as well...the last time we tried to order it, they ran out but now I can see why.  Check this place out for breakfast or brunch on Saturdays.  I highly recommend it.

I really like the food here and it is a great place to take kids. My nieces and nephews like eating at St. Clouds because they get to play at Madrona Park after eating and they can easily find something they want to eat on the menu .

They have a great breakfast menu and friendly servers. I usually eat there for breakfast, but dinner is great, too.

We were turned on to this place by some friends of ours who swore by their "east coast style" meatloaf here. Boy were those friends right - best meatloaf I've had in Seattle. And everything else I've eaten here (dinner or brunch) has been great. Well proportioned, well cooked, interesting, but not overly fussy. Not any "one" cuisine, but still feels like "home" (I'm from the east coast).

The restaurant itself has plenty of seating in two different areas and along a small bar. It feels "tucked into" a cute old building, and has a nice outdoor courtyard I'm sure is lovely during that one day during the summer you can eat outside.

We've been here with just ourselves, and in a big group, and service has been great every time (I remember to leave an extra big tips b/c the wait staff put up with annoying children flinging stuff).  The kids menu is much more inspired than your typical fare, which I like (as a health conscious person/parent).  I'd definitely bring out of town guests here - feels like a nice mix of Seattle and the east coast.

Highly recommended.

I love being a mother. Really I do. My child is amazing, I am in awe of him everyday.

However, as many women of my generation have, I put off the making of the baby for a while. I put off getting married for a while. When it comes right down to it, I put off growing up for a while. A long while. As I was whiling away my child bearing years, I came to REQUIRE the finer things in life. Like REAL FOOD. Chicken Fingers are not an acceptable appetizer for me. I would rather eat glass than EVER set foot inside a Chuck E. Cheese again. Maybe if I had squeezed one out when I was still a kid myself, that'd be acceptable - but not today.

Thankfully, I have found a few fantastic alternatives to the Chuck E. Cheese experience - like hitting Madrona Playground (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) and then running over to St. Clouds for dinner.

The space is homey and cheerful with a couple breakfast nook-esque corner booths, the perfect lock down spot for a busy three year old. In addition to the obligatory crayons and paper, St. Clouds keeps drawers full of toys at the host station; we were seated with a bucket of amusements for the kid and and I actually got to read the menu. The whole thing. And ponder, and look around the room. And stare at the wall thinking of nothing. NOTHING.

While I was mmmmmmm'ing and ooooohhhhhh'ing over my incredible babaganoush (so smokey and spicy - not at all your average preparation) with house made lamb sausages and grilled fig and caramelized onion goat cheese bruschetta - the mini hero was driving a toy motorcycle up and down my back (I totally appreciated the therapeutic benefits, don't think I didn't). And while I was loving my curried roast yam and sweet potato saute that was BURSTING with summer veggie goodness, the mini was delighting in his farfalle mac 'n cheese. He was NOT hanging off my right arm uttering is never ending adoration for my extremities as per usual..."I loooooove your arms Mommy...." making it impossible for me to eat, nor was he under the table stabbing me in the foot with his fork, or making a run for it out the front door into traffic, causing a ten car pile up....etc.....

I loooooove St. Clouds.

This is THE place we go when we just need to get out- it's the extension of our home/kitchen. Down home (plentiful) food and fantastic, friendly service.  I almost always get a large or small seasonal salad or Northwest salad...alternate for the sake of variety- and we always get the Bruschetta with caramelized onions and goat cheese and either pears and goat cheese or figs when they are in season. Their fresh catch is pretty universally awesome- frequently steelhead! Good wine selection too. Oh- and good music too. What's not to like?

When we come with our neice and nephew there are great offerings for kids, though they rarely branch out from macaroni and cheese!

The service is so good it is almost like family (the family you actually like). They seem to really enjoy what they do. An they must believe in it too, since this place has been doing the Cooking for the Homeless for I think eight years now?  Pretty darn cool.

There are times I wish there were some lighter selections- that's my only gripe. But then again, the sundaes are terrific. For a comfortable place, like home (only better cooking!) and even friendlier and competent staff- I can't think of a place we would rather go.

Totally solid brunch spot in the "bustling" area of Madrona.  We were seated right away on a Sunday so we were pretty psyched, that certainly doesn't happen at a lot of other Seattle brunch spots. JP ordered the breakfast burrito and I went with one of the daily specials which was grilled asparagus wrapped with prosciutto and served over toast with a poached egg on top.  It was delish!

Place is definitely overrun with local families who most likely strolled down for their weekend brunch, but I really dug the community feel and thankfully the one child who decided to take up screaming stopped before I developed a headache.

Service was friendly and on top of things.  Great experience.

My gay boyfriend #2 (GBF#2) and I came here for brunch the other weekend.  He was craving their Imperial Mix Up and I wanted to check the place out so perfect for both of us.  We find street parking right outside but had a bit of a wait for a table, thankfully they put us in the 'bar' area so we were not surrounded by the 10,000 children that were enjoying their breakfast at St. Clouds as well.

We are finally seated at a table on top of the steps to the bar which was kind of scary to me.  See if GBF#2 leaned back a little he could have fell down the stairs.  Ok well not really more like if I sat in that seat and leaned back I would have fell down the stairs because I'm a klutz but anyways we got a table that's what counts.  He orders coffee I get a diet coke; it was a rough morning for me.  Coffee arrives GBF#2 asks for Splenda waiters says sure ok, my diet coke arrives no Splenda, waiter walks by again no Splenda.  I finally flag down the hostess guy and he gladly brings the Splenda.

We decided to share a piece of Crazy Grandma Hazel's Sour Cream Coffee Cake, ok she wasn't crazy but I like the sound of crazy grandma Hazel than just grandma Hazel.  He went with the Imperial Mix Up and I went with the Burrito with the intention of sharing our food.  The Imperial Mix Up was an interesting mix of ingredients with rice, scallions, eggs, ginger and Asian marinated tempeh all mixed up together a little siracha squirted on top and the dish was wonderful I think it was the ginger that did it.  The Burrito had roasted Anaheim chiles, black beans, salsa fresca, eggs, cheddar and cotija cheeses wrapped in a flour tortilla, topped with a chipotle sour cream, it was fresh and delightful I was very happy with my shared brunch.

We are ready to leave and waiting for our check, it finally arrives.  We put in our cards and wait and wait and wait some more for the waiter to come back and take it.  I think he may have been all waited out because he never came back until we asked the hostess guy to assist us once again with our check this time.  I think the waiter was just having a spacey day so I didn't let it get my panties in too much of a bunch because the food was good and the prices were good.  If you're ever over in Madrona and looking for brunch check out St. Clouds they have something for everyone.

I hate writing this, since I want to keep places like this to myself. But, I have to admit that St. Clouds is on my top five list of places to eat in Seattle. So.. shhh.. keep this under your hat.

I normally come to St. Clouds for it's wonderful breakfast food and great service. This time I went to St. Clouds for dinner. The atmosphere is friendly and non-pretentious. We went on a Saturday night and they had a live jazz band playing. I had the ribs, collard greens and corn bread. I did not want to share it with my dinner guests. The ribs were awesome! The meat almost fell off the bone and the sauce was tangy. The collared greens had a nice bite to them.

BEWARE St. Clouds.. I'll be back for more!

Excellent breakfast/brunch spot in quaint Madrona.  The staff was very friendly and accommodating.  Surprisingly the wait for a table was short, especially considering it was Easter Sunday.  The food arrived super fast too!  Prices were reasonable and my Spanish Omelette delicious!  I'll be back for a visit again in the near future!

I have been to a few breakfast places recently and nothing ever seems to grab me. I don't know what it is about breakfast that most places just can't do right, but it seems there is a general lack of LOVE put into breakfast. From someone who usually has oatmeal or cereal for breakfast, when I go out, I want something with LOVE in it! We came to St. Clouds and  I loved it. We had brunch, and it ended up being a really  nice afternoon. It's a cute little place, muted colors but really big windows, very warm, and it seemed relatively clean. Definitely what a cafe should look like.

The crowd is mostly families, but I like that. If I had a family, I would bring them here for a Saturday or Sunday morning brunch. The waiter was super friendly, had a lot of information to give us, and came to check on us a good amount. Coffee refills were plentiful.

I had the veggie omelet. It was really good! It had a lot of spinach in it and not too much asiago cheese, which is good. It didn't feel heavy at all, the eggs were cooked through but were not tough at all. My boyfriend had country fried steak which he seemed to enjoy and it looked really appetizing. Hashbrowns were hashbrowns, but I will say that I like that they were crispy on the outside. Props there.

I will definitely be back!

Five stars for the best corned beef hash breakfast in the world.  Not only good, but served in an airy yet cozy environment and complemented by strong, steaming coffee.  We've only been there for brunch, but have always loved our meals.  They are also willing to take reservations for a biggish party (we had about a dozen), which is nice if you have a bunch of visitors from out of town.
There's also lunch and dinner served, I think, and music in the evening.   Also a nice touch is that the name is from the orphanage in the book Cider House Rules.  Got to like a literary reference with your hash.

I came here for Mother's day. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service great, but at a slow pace. The food took a while to come out, but I wonder if it's not a function of how crowded the restaurant was.

If you come here, try the chicken fried steak. It was fabulous. My mom had their vegetarian omelette, which was amazing as well.

Definitely a restaurant I'll visit again.

My first experience with St. Clouds was dinner on a date with this super fly guy and his friends. A double date, if you will.

I wanted to try the curry roasted yam and sweet potato saute on chickpea cakes but the chickpea cakes were made with cheese. Stupid dairy allergy. I instead chose the ginger steamed vegetables with jasmine rice, a wonderfully fragrant dish. The other couple each chose the curry, it's the only dish they've eaten since they began patronizing the restaurant. My date, let's call him Pookiewoogums since he likes it when I call him that, had the parmigiano-crusted pork tenderloin. We all shared a petite syrah that was served in a decanter to help the wine breathe and bloom.

Our waiter showed up when we needed him. This is especially handy when you're sharing great conversation while sneaking in touches on arms and backs. That's the best part of a meal, really, but it helps when the right atmosphere makes it happen.

Although I live only a few minutes away from this restaurant, I hadn't been here until my boyfriend moved into the apartment a half a block away. Since then (about a month ago), I think we have gone there 6 times... I am officially hooked.

Their menu is mostly southern in influence, but has a local flair. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable but still classy.

I have ordered a good selection of their entrees: grilled chicken breast with mushroom sauce, steak with polenta and green beans, parmesan crusted pork tenderloin, fried chicken special (only on the first Sunday of the month), burger and fries and I have never been disappointed. The flavors are well combined, the food cooked perfectly, and the service is friendly and attentive without being interruptive. They also have a small little bar and have live music several nights a week.

The breakfast is also phenomenal.. the chicken fried steak (which I normally am not a huge fan of) was done perfectly.

Can't wait till their spring menu comes out:)

Wow. Time does fly. I just got back from dinner and the waiter told my that they'd just had their 7th anniversary party last night. I remember when this spot was the legendary Cool Hand Lukes, and even that seems like just a few years ago. This place has become an anchor of the booming restaurant row here on 34th.

It's a bit of a schizophrenic joint. On weekends it's a solid breakfast spot with great omellettes, benedicts and delicous coffee. In the evenings it splits itself up as a bar, a family spot or a high end dinner spot. The menu itself is split into two sections. The at home is generally lower priced comfort foods, burgers and Sandwiches. The pricier Eating Out section is higher end food like an excellent New York Strip steak or a perfectly roasted pork line with penne and a reduction sauce I want to bathe in.

The service can be a little sketchy depending on who serves you. If you go there enough you know that if you get certain servers it's going to be a long confusing night. Other servers are efficient and friendly. But most of the families and couple eating here are perfectly happy to have a reliable place for food for everyone right here in the neighbhorhood.

Another one of my favorites for brunch in Seattle.  Here's a secret... you can order off the kids menu.  Yes, there have been many Saturdays when I really need my shot of chocolate pancakes and St. Clouds always does the trick.  They'll make your kid menu request adult size.

The only downside is that this place is fairly popular and I've had to wait up 30 minutes for a table.  Guess you can't really fault a restaurant for that so it gets to keep its five stars.

"A place where orphans come to find a sense of home and family."

Borrowed for the St. Clouds motto, the quoted text is from the much fawned over book "Cider House Rules". The proprietors rub the book all over themselves...and their business endeavors...and their patrons. My neck, my back, oh err um...anyway, cider house rules this restaurant where orphans and white guilt come to feed.

Tucked into 34th street, where the racial harmony line is drawn, St. Clouds can be found. The restaurant's website is lacquered with images of community involvement but charitable attitudes stop there. While St. Clouds quotes sentiments of compassion it executes red-headed stepchild protocol.

On two consecutive weekends I gave St. Clouds a go because the food redeems this place. St. Clouds serves up breakfast worthy of a starred hotel restaurant at IHOP prices, so I couldn't stay away. The second segment only solidified my impressions of the restaurant however. Orphaned in the lobby, I stood amongst other empty bellies that were repeatedly ignored by the host. No one received so much as a "Hello!" A cold and unfeeling ambience permeates the eatery.

Divine food indeed but nonexistent service is a family dysfunction of St. Clouds. If one cannot resist temptation, or curiosity, a few survival tips while navigating this spot: avoid Shannon A.'s section at all costs, anticipate a neglectful host, and be prepared for long wait times without any acknowledgement of your presence. Abandon any expectation of a coffee refill when seated or being offered any at all, a Sunday sin in my book. If suburbia makes your skin crawl, just don't, it will hurt at St. Clouds.

Their brunch is great. Their dinner is so-so. I organized a birthday dinner a couple of weeks ago. When we arrived the whole room was filled with kitchen smoke. Their appetizers were good, but my main dish (scallops) wasn't as tasty as expected, and after eating everything on the plate I was still hungry.

This great place is tucked away in the lovely main strip of Madrona neighborhood. I love coming to St. Clouds on a Sat. morning with my girlfriends. We would order coffee and listen to the friendly staff describing the special of the day. If the special catches your fancy you should order it. Chances are it will not be there again the next time you go. My favorite dish on the menu is the Imperial Mix Up (rice, scallions, eggs, with Portuguese sausage) and the House Made Corned Beef Hash. Many of the dishes are served with freshly baked pastry (try the coffee cake!). The atmosphere is very casual, you'll see a lot of young families from the neighborhood and young people meeting up for weekend brunch with friends.

I've been here twice for Sunday brunch, with my wife and son, even though it's a bit of a haul from Ballard.  The first time we had to wait about 20 minutes or so for a table.  That's an eternity with a hungry, grouchy 3-year-old.  The second time, we arrived just before they stop taking guests (2 p.m.) and we breezed right to a table.

I take two lessons from these experiences: (1) The food and the experience is good, but NOT I-will-wait-20-minutes-for-a-table-with-my-hungry- three-year-old good; (2) If you don't want to wait a long time for a table for Sunday brunch, try arriving between 1 and 2 p.m.

As I said the food is definitely good.  Even better is the coffee and the bloody marys.  They get their coffee locally and it's delicious.  They also seem to have a nice bar.  I also liked the service.  Unlike some other reviewers, we were checked on regularly and coffee and water refills were frequent.

Sometimes St. Clouds can come off as a little too precious and urban-hipster-doofish, but, all in all, it is a good place to eat, even if it is a little over-hyped.

this is a very calming spot.  the leafy courtyard had a few tables, there was a dog here or there and the inside felt very easy going.  our waiter was informative and attentive.  he was very good cause its hard to wait tables- too attentive and we get annoyed, too laid back and we wonder where you are- this guy had the perfect balance. he was also friendly and it felt genuine.  i appreciate that.

i had the imperial with rice, tofu and eggs thing.  it was good but not great.  waiter superstar had the forethought to bring hot sauce with him when he brought the dish, this helped spice things up.  i felt like I ordered the wrong thing, dad and stepmom's looked better.

all and all a peaceful experience.

I've been here a few times when needing a later night spot with great parking.  The food is definitely above par and value per dollar higher then 90% of the supposed quality eateries in the area.   Even coastal kitchen costs more, and is gross in comparison.

At some point i hope to post a more detailed review of this restaurant.  I've only had the dinners, and usually splurge for the filet mignon or the market fish, and they have always been accompanied with creative and extremely tasty sides that complement eachother perfectly.

If you are lucky enough to have live music and decent weather outside, the patio is the perfect northwest experience.

This is a great little find if you're ever in the neighborhood. They truly serve up some serious comfort food, and a great burger! We came here for a friend's birthday for the first time a couple of years ago, and halfway through dining there was a power outage! The staff was great, and nobody felt panicked, but they began lighting candles and it turned into an even more intimate setting. This is a must-dine establishment during the summer as the cool air can stream through the restaurant and you really feel as though you've found somewhere that is not typical of Seattle.

I have a friend who loves it here, but I don't see the appeal.
Lunchtime sandwiches are great, but the dinner-time ambiance is odd and the dinner menu somehow lacking.  Is it a pub, a bistro, a family eatery....?

so i'm not sure if i should review this place b/c technically, i didn't actually eat here.  i was there, but i was stopping by and hung out a bit, but didn't actually eat...

HOWEVER, i did see the food being served and smelled the food smells and it made me salivate a little bit, so i'm going to take that as a good sign, yes?

and yes, the server was very attentive in that i got my water glass refilled w/o me even noticing.  as well as my wine glass.

so maybe i should actually sit and eat here next time.  ya think?

A friend of my was was the sous chef here until he moved out of state.  I can't say enough about how much I like this place.  Some of my favorites are the malt waffles, the hash and the chocolate sundae's - their chocolate sauce is voluptuously and sinfully delicious.  Sunday brunch was my favorite but lunch and dinner are equally wonderful with local musicians performing on weekends.
