This is obviously not the trendiest mall in the world. But there are enough reasons not to hate this mall. Those reasons are mainly Victoria's Secret, H&M, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, and New York & Company...Bath and Body Works for the smell goods also. These aren't the best stores but they are very practical ones that you need. Don't expect any super glam designers like Prada, Fendi, Gucci, not even Guess, Bebe, or Juicy Couture. They have a decent amount of practical women's apparel selections here though. Oh and it's not ghetto. Yeah. Pretty clean and well kept. That makes me happy.

On to the not so great! Is it just me or do they need more shoe stores and I'm not talking Foot Locker!???! Aldo maybe or a Nine West. Hell, I'd even take a Bare Feet. Or maybe its not the mall at all, maybe I just couldn't find them lol. All I know is I found great clothes for work and couldn't find a decent source of shoes. I mean Charlotte Russe sells shoes but that's not really what I was looking for...

Also, don't go when it's too close to closing. Stores like H&M and Forever 21 are a mess and they look picked over. The chaos gives me a headache.

I don't live very far from this mall and every time I go there (Thursday, January 12th to be exact) this place appears to be bustling with business.  I have never witnessed anything bad happening there, but I did hear (on the News) about a fight breaking out over out of stock tennis/sport shoes WTF?!?!?  But that stupid out break happened in a lot of malls just before Christmas.  Anyway, I give St. Charles Shopping Center three stars because it does need exterior updating. The interior isn't bad and the mall has a very low vacancy rate. All-in-all, not a bad mall...at least it's not like the Landmark Mall in Alexandria, VA and Springfield Mall in Springfield, VA...those are true dead malls!!!!!

Waldorf should just do everyone a favor and demolish this mall, and start all over. I only go here if I desperately need something and cant find it anywhere else. I would NEVER go to this mall alone either. A good majority of the people who walk around this mall are all ill mannered. People who think Waldorf is ghetto have all their thoughts confirmed once stepping though the doors.

Case in point: if you you dont think Waldorf is ghetto, look at what just happened the other week.....a riot in the early morning hours over JORDANS. really? realllyyy??? ur gunna vandalize the mall, and start a riot over a pair of shoes?

I really hope they either straighten their act up, and get some serious security instead of the rent a cops who ride around on segways like they are doing something important, or just do Waldorf a favor and demolish this mall, and rebuild a nicer one with better class.

This mall was decent and clean. Looks older on the outside, but the inside is nice with plenty of stores to choose from. Arrived when they opened and had no problem with parking. Located near Target.

Too busy and not worth the time.  Average shopping and the average person that occupies this place is annoying.  People gawked at my girl way to much. Poor, inpatient service. No class. Scum.

It's  an ok mall. I have seen way worse. It has been redesigned. It has this nice wood theme going for it. It does not have a Apple store. I say this because, you can usual judge how the mall is going to be if there is an Apple store in it. Not yet, it's still Southern MD. It is a clean mall, always has been. You will find some pretty nice stores like Vicky's Secret, Bath and Body Works, Macy's Home and Macy's.

I would give it a visit. Maybe if more people took to it maybe, just maybe it could grow into a very nice mall.

The most dead mall I've ever been to.  The WORST mall I've ever been to... Poor Waldorf needs a better mall OR they need to do better with the shops and what not.  I go here only to walk around, but never can find anything to purchase. oh welps. Waste of space and money if you ask me!

In an emergency situation only!  For example, you just ran your last pair of hose and you're due somewhere in an hour situation. No, skip it.  They won't have what you need.  They don't have any good stores there.  Settle for the grocery store brand and save yourself a headache.

I live 20 minutes from St. Charles Towne Center and I go to Annapolis for everything I need.

Well I'd have given it 4 stars if it wasn't for the 'ghettofication' of this place. Don't take that the wrong way. It's not a racial slur in any sense, it just means that with the overpriced housing market in PG county, those of lesser incomes are moving south and it shows. This used to be a great place to shop and hang out, catch a movie and dinner. Now if you ain't packing anything bigger than .50 cal machine gun, you are gonna get messed with. I used to do all my shopping here, but not anymore. I drive up to Arundel Mills for decent shopping. Sad.

I live in waldorf and I do not go anywhere near this mall. It is horrible and ghetto and crowded and everything else bad! I used to go there as well way back in the day I guess when people spoke proper english and had manners (god I sound so old). I hate this place this is why i will order everything i can online screw this mall. I need to move.

It's a mall.  There's nothing distinctive about it other than that it's one of the few 'regular old' malls in the area that's not dying.  It's nice and clean, full of a wide variety of stores, is of moderate size, and the food court's decent.  Lacking anything special about it though - such as the size and variety of Tyson's Corner, the size and look of Pentagon City, the size and wildly varied types of stores at Springfield Mall - there's really no reason to go here unless you live nearby and just want to do some quick shopping or get ideas before going elsewhere.  I guess this is what mall's are for, but as a semi-reformed mallrat, I still look to malls to for an entertaining experience more than 'just shopping.'  (I would probably have given the mall a 3, but I'm being petty since it left me flat.)

I've experienced the opening and now the slow decline of St Charles. This mall is still not so bad Monday-Friday. It's the influx of ill behaved people starting Friday night and ending sometime Sunday late afternoon that makes this mall avoidable. Unfortunately with the quickly changing demographic there is little that can be done to change the feel of this mall. A few bad apples does spoil the bunch.

I remember back in the early 90's when  St. Charles was a pretty decent mall. Forward 15+ years later and it's now where the wannabe ghetto folks come to show off and hang with fellow wannabe ghetto superstars. The stores here cannot even save this place. I believe Macy's is the only "high-end" store you will find here alongside Dick's Sporting Goods and JC Penney. As you make your way through the mall crowd - kids sporting Hollister head to toe, Wangsters wearing Sean John with jeans down to their knees "bloop-blooping" as loud as humanly possible on their precious "Everyone MUST hear my entire conversation.." Nextel phones, "Rich kids" who come to show how much better they are because they live in the neighborhood down the street from you with a lake, Moms in highly coveted "mom jeans," and Fathers who had no choice but to experience hell with the whole family - make sure to check out the awesomeness of stores like Old Navy, Hot Topic, and highly-fashionable uber-cool Hollister. Yes!!

    *Breathe....breathe....breathe*

Now I remember why I never step foot in that place.

    TIP:
    Stay far away from Waldorf!

    UPDATE
Ok, I don't hate Hollister. I just have issues when 99% of your wardrobe consists of Hollister or A&F.

Why am I so angry today..=(

There are definitely worse malls than this one, since I've been to them. This is a nice mall. It's quaint, and a little on the small side. I give them four stars since they have a free play area for the kids near JCP where my kids love to play (not all malls have a free kids play area). Since we're members of the Kidgits Club (mall kids club), my kids love to spin the wheel at the customer service desk to get a free prize. I think they're one of a few malls that do that. When we went to Tysons Corner, Fair Oaks Mall, etc, no one else had a spinning wheel with free prizes for children, so my kids are always begging to go to this mall. I personally like going to Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works. My kids love Build-A-Bear. I wish they had more stores (like Godiva, Lindt, Aveda, The Body Shop, etc) and I was sad to see that they shut down the Picture People. I've always felt safe going to this mall with my family and never had been given a hard time by anyone. I hope that people give this mall a chance so that it can continue to grow and improve because there really isn't that many options in Southern Maryland...

My last visit to this mall was on a weekend and it was in and out and off to find another mall as I couldn't take all the ghetto kids running up and down, the loud cursing from teens with no home training and the simple attitude of the people working there who really didn't seem to need a job.  I get so fed up with those who have jobs not wanting to DO their jobs.  This mall needs an EXTREME MAKEOVER and fast.  The cops being there seems to do absolutely nothing unless there are gun shots fired, so what's the point?
