I'm not a churchgoer, but I do go by St Brendan's every day, and it's worth reviewing simply as a neighborhood landmark.  It's a Catholic church with a striking Mediterranean architecture, particularly the bell tower.  My favorite is when you're driving down Ulloa at night in the fog and it suddenly appears before you.  Makes you feel like a traveller in an ancient story coming to a haven in the wilderness.  Also, the mendicant statue out front is a great touch.

And of course, how could I forget the bells which gently wake me at 8 AM each morning, and the 3 PM Navy Hymn which, on boring work days, is like a call for nap time?
