Kathy and Harold's wedding, I'm the DJ. I need sound, and some lights, with delivery in the LA area. SSR to the rescue!!!
Selection:
- They have everything you possibly need, and probably more.
- The sound setup I got was way-overkill, but worked fantastically.
Price:
- They have various package deals to fit most any need you might have.
- You can also tailor your order to your needs and price point. Their website makes getting your quote in easy.
- Free delivery (within a certain range). The reception was in Woodland Hills, which was just within the Free delivery range.
Service:
- Excellent! The online order was a breeze.
- Days before the event, I get a call from SSR just to check whether I have a mixer to handle the 2 wireless mics I ordered, which I didn't! Thank goodness they called. We added the mixer to the order, otherwise, the mics would've been useless! Thanks for being on-the-ball, SSR!
- TJ, the sound engineer was very helpful. He arrived early to deliver and set up the equipment, helped in sound-check, and made sure that I could work the equipment. He returned at midnight to tear down and take all his gear back. Thanks TJ!
SSR was very professional, on-time, and helpful. I'll definitely work with them again for any gigs in the LA area. -

I was the bride, our friend was the dj and he recommended SSR. Another friend had also used them for one of her events and the sound was great.
I had called around to a few other places and SSR was by far the most reasonable and for me, the most painless. Since I was coordinating our wedding myself, the high level of service SSR provided made such a difference. Miriam was knowledgeable and really wonderful to work with and I was able to place the order over the phone quickly and easily. They set up and broke down the equipment the day of the event and were a dream. -

I was referred to SSR from a DJ and have now used their sound services many times from residential to corporate events - each and every time they come through with flying colors. The sound is one aspect of an event i never have to worry about when SSR is hired and highly recommend their services.

5 stars for responsive and thorough communication and for very reasonable pricing! Miriam was so great to have as a contact person for a party that my fiancee and I were hosting. She was very easy to reach and answered all of my bonehead questions patiently and comprehensively. I'm not at all surprised that SSR has an average 5 star review. Thanks!

I was referred to SSR from Jonathan Jenkins, a videographer in my Business Network International group. I emailed the company and got a response back very quickly. We set everything up by phone and email...it was marvelous. We needed a very small system because of the venue site and noise pollution restriction, and had wanted speakers that were 12-15" in size and one that would work with a MAC computer. The system was larger than expected but we were able to easily keep the volume down. One thing I had forgotten to handle was to have them send a certificate of Liability Insurance for the Venue set up. This was a bit of an issue but the setup person handled it appropriately. They delivered, set up and picked up right on time. What a great, responsive company to work with. I would highly recommend them to any one looking to rent a sound system. Their price was competitive and I would recommend and use them in the future.

We hired them to provide a small sound system for our very intimate wedding. Miriam was very helpful and responsive - always answering my emails the same day. Ours was a pretty small order but I never felt that I was getting put off for larger clients. I did shop around and found their prices to be very reasonable. Delivery and set up was right on time and without issue. I would definitely use them again.

These guys provided great service for my most recent DJ gig. Delivered on time, and even brought the connectors I needed for my monitors. Rick the delivery guy was friendly, as was Miriam, the woman who gave me the quote. They worked seamlessly with the event coordinator, and pick up was punctual.
