The Sprinkles Van felt a little out of place at the Korean BBQ cook-off, but I pretty much "shut the mouth" when I took a bite out of my friends Peanut Butter cupcake. As a PB lover since a weee little boy, it instantly had me thinking bout the good ole days of peanut butter goodness.... I never was a huge fan of cupcakes, but everything from the taste to the presentation made me a believer.

Thank you Sprinkles Mobile, you guys just need to start following the kogi truck so i can get dinner/desert at the same spot.

Good Stuff! Can't wait to try different types.

In this bizzare street vendor renaissance, we've seen and chased Kogi BBQ (KBBQ-Mex fusion), Don Chow Tacos (Chinese-Mex fusion), Coolhaus (all-natural gourmet ice cream) and more...Yeah, I've followed a few.  I hear there's a new Japanese-Peruvian fusion truck, what's next?  The Sprinklesmobile!!

Recently, at the first annual Korean BBQ Cook-Off, I was watching the mob of 8,000 swarm the KBBQ vendors and crowd the beer garden, the Sun beating down on me...and in the middle of the festival, She pulls in.  "What is that?", I asked.  It looked like a big, chocolate, pimped out party bus...You could tell, something nuts was about to go down.  Someone shouted out, "I think that's Sprinkles pulling in!"

Now I never know how to feel about cupcakes, one minute I think cupcakes are a treat for women and children under 10, then the next thing you know, I'm with a gal at a gourmet cupcake shop like Sprinkles enjoying one.

You know, it's not the most masculine feeling, getting a cupcake in a gift box, but after a long day in the Sun, I'll admit, I found my raspberry cupcake more refreshing than my beer (in my defense, I was they were serving Coors Light)!  This cupcake was really unique, the frosting was cool and light (not slathered on like other cupcakes I've had elsewhere), and the taste of the actual cupcake itself...umm, I need to stop gushing about this fresh-baked goodness...

$4 is a bit much for what I thought was a petite cupcake, but it's Sprinkles baby...

I can't help but picture how well they'd do parked at Coachella...

Admittedly I haven't been the biggest fan of lining up at Sprinkles for what I've always thought were kinda pricey overly sugary sweet cupcakes, but load those babies into a truck and bring 'em to me and suddenly I'm ready to bend over and pay my four bucks to get a piece of the action!

Sprinkles Mobile just launched their pimped out Mercedes van late May in time for summer, and oooooh, baby, talk about a treat. And talk about pimped out. Their ride was built by West Coast Customs. No joke. Complete with pop-out glass display case for all those pretty little brown boxes just begging to be bought.

They carry all of the usual suspects and some seasonal flavors like the Raspberry cupcakes they have until August 16th. I took the opportunity to try a few different flavors and though the PB didn't have quite enough peanut buttery love for this peanut butter lover and the red velvet would have a run for its money over at Auntie Em's, there were some seriously delicious gems... like the Black and White cupcake. Amazing. The aforementioned Rasbberry was also fantastic with little seeds from fresh berries dotting the cake. That's where Sprinkles gets a cup up on the competition if you ask me. The cake. Anyone can make pretty cupcakes and even tasty cupcakes, but the texture of their cake is really something. I'm guessing they use some wheat flour in there to give it this wonderful dense earthiness that balances all that sweet they pile on top quite nicely. It's good stuff. Even better when you've got a couple extras to nibble in bed!

The minimum to show up at your door will run ya two grand, but wanna piece of this? You can get it. Follow 'em on Twitter @sprinklesmobile. Four bucks, baby!

Had this while waiting for Big Show 9 to start.  It was a definite treat that soothed the anger of having to listen to DJ Felli Fel play music no one knew.  I got the red velvet cupcake and it was so moist and delicious!  The icing was just the perfect amount.  I can't imagine a better cupcake!

I just visited the sprinkles mobile truck at the Brentwood country mart and I have to say I was definitely underwhelmed. The cupcakes TASTED OLD. The ICING was HARD and the cake was a little DRIED OUT unlike the cupcakes at the Beverly hills location. To top it off, literally, there was a BLACK HAIR on top of my pumpkin cupcake!!!! GROSS!!!

Cup sized confections in a brown little box, Sprinkles is a mobile cupcake factory wonder. My first bite of a black & white dessert was an amazing discovery. The white frosting was fluffy and not too sweet and the cake was light and moist. Both flavors complimented each other, unlike cake at other bakeries or those made at home. Because of the complex flavors I highly suggest eating it on a small plate with a fork so you can savor each bite. In fact, if I were to have a wedding, I'd probably order these cupcakes instead of those mile high princess cakes. Overall, your tongue will be surprised when you find a Sprinkles cupcake.
