Me and my family stayed here for 4 days in the middle of August 07.
This is a kid friendly hotel, which I like about it.
This hotel had 6 pools 3 at one location of the hotel and 3 at the other location of the hotel.
My husband chose this hotel for our vacation spot, and see what happens when you leave your husband in charge. LOL...
NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After check in we went to our room and it was freezing in our room(we checked in around 10pm) we turned the air-condition off and the heat on, all of a sudden our smoke alarm went off and the room stunk. all needed a shower.
The first problem I noticed was the tub had leftover hair in it and the floor in the bathroom was dirty with hair all over it.
Whenever I went to shower, I had to make sure that I had atleast 3 towels on the floor so my feet would not catch a disease or something and the toilet I always made sure I squatted or put lots of tissue on it... Yes, I felt that dirty.
The hotel carpet was stained which looked like blood spots on diff parts of the carpet, although it could have been something else. The hotel cover was dirty and the sheets had hair on them.
The kicker was every morning when we left, I saw the maids outside with no sheets, only towels while the cleaned other rooms. I really hope they changed the sheets from our room prior to us arriving, and other hotel guests as well.
The room was always humid and sweaty, which is expected because of the location..... So shower time again lol.
We were located steps from the beach, the beach was a nice touch... Other than that there was nothing really to do , except drive around and sightsee a bunch of the same shops which is, swim shops, firework shops and expensive but good seafood buffets.
This vacation was a weird experience for me...
This is an OK hotel for Myrtle Beach. Allot of the hotels are converted to condos and are in pretty bad shape. This one was clean and quiet. Room was one room efficiency sort of cramped but sufficient. The restaurant leaves allot to be desired and it was only open for lunch. Other restaurants are not close.
