I love Springhill Suites. The one we stayed at in Orlando was spectacular too. I was sick by the time we got here (from Vegas on the way to Yosemite and going back home to San Jose), they had chicken noodle soup and nyquil at the little store pantry thing that we were able to charge to the room. YAY! The room also came with a chamomile tea and green tea bags, which I most definitely used. And the extra blanket in the closet came in handy. I love that springhills have an extra little living room with a shared tv. They have ihomes in the rooms and a separate sink/vanity station from the bathroom and another separate sink in the little bar, refrigerator/microwave area with paper plates and plastic utensils included! The parking lot is a little confusing, especially at night, take the roundabout to get there around the large dirt lot. As for the free breakfast, I couldn't taste it because I was super sick so I ate it all and granola yogurt, yum. The only bad parts were the details, in the bathroom, you can see parts of the wall paper peeling and the grout cracking but it doesn't bother me. Front desk could be a little more friendly but they were friendly enough. I'd come back :-)

The one thing I love about Springhill's is that you can get your share of unlimited coffee and then some.  Good coffee, good cocoa, and a decent continental breakfast selection to boot.  As far as the room goes, it's your typical Springhill Suite with an older interior design, which I like far more than the newer ones coming out (e.g. Irvine).  The hotel is situated moments away from a few common eateries like Chili's, Starbucks, etc. so its not all bad.  If your driving though, which you probably are, I'd explore other areas with better places to eat.

There's not much of a view though, just a vacant lot through the room window overlooking mass chaos of of two busy streets intersecting during rush hours.  At least there's an indoor pool to brighten things up.  I think there's an outdoor one also, but it was too cold to look for it.  Their backdoor that leads to a modest parking lot is also a major convenience for me since it's right next to the elevators leading to the penthouse 3rd floor rooms.  Overall, not bad for a Fresno stay.

Stayed at Springhill as a waypoint between S. CA and Yosemite to cut up the drive.  The hotel is clean, the room was quiet (except when the air was on), the bed was decent, and you get free breakfast - the food was nothing to write home about, but free is free.  Hot shower in the morning, and we were all set.  All in all, very family friendly.

I would stay here again in the future, using this place to break up the 9 hour drive was nice (especially when you got a BB on the trip with you)...!

Me and my girlfriend frequently stay at hotels and this Marriott was extremely nice! Not only are the look appealing but the staff was wonderful as well Johnessa at the front desk was very helpful and sweet as soon as we walked in. I asked her of any spas nearby and right away she was looking and printing me up info of ones nearby! Very sweet girl! Then we get up to the room and it was quite large with its own mini fridge microwave and coffee pot. It's own little living area that's separate from the bed. After a long fun night at the company Christmas party we came to a full on breakfast buffet which was nice coffee cereal oatmeal muffins sausages all sorts of muffins. All in all very homey and wonderful place to stay!

I could give this place two stars.. I think that in all actuality I would give this place more like 2.5 stars.. but I'm willing to round up because it was clean.. it's new.. and there is no lingering smokers smell anywhere..

The bed was comfortable.. the room was pretty decent size.. the bathrooms were nice..

I mean.. it really wasn't all that bad.. except for a couple of things..

    - the TV kept losing signal..

    - the bathtub was dangerous.. there was no traction on the floor.. it was a safety hazard.. my parents and I slipped on several occasion.. thank God for the handicap handrail.. or I'd be in the emergency room with a broken tail bone!  None of us fell.. but I know that's a lawsuit waiting to happen..

    - their free breakfast sucked!  they didn't keep track of the quantity of food.. breakfast was from 7a-10a.  Family and I came at about 8:30a.. and everything was practically empty.. employees popped in rarely to check on the quantity.. AND the replenished everything so slow..

Overall, our stay wasn't too bad.. this place is close to some great eateries and shopping.. it's a relatively new hotel.. and like I mentioned before.. it's clean.  That's a huge plus.

I've stayed here several times over the past couple of years. I am a business traveler and prefer to gather my Marriott points, so I stay at a Marriott property whenever I can. The Courtyard down on Shaw is closer to where I do business, but this place is so much nicer.

the hotel is always squeaky clean. The rooms are nicely sized- with a sitting room as well as a bedroom. The desk area is well set up and the TV is of high quality.

The breakfast in the morning is free............that is the best I can say for it. It has fruit and cereal and the rest of it can definitely be left- when I want higher quality for breakfast I go to McDonald's.

The hubby and I decided to get a room for the night, just to get away for some "alone" time. So I Yelped and found reviews for Springhill Suites to be good. This place was absolutely clean. I LOVE that they are smoke-free!! The bed was super duper comfy. Nice sized shower. I liked that the bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom (so is it called a bathroom sink still??). There was also a seating area in the room and microwave and fridge..."bar area" in the room. One thing I hate about hotels though are those curtains! You know the part where the left curtain meets the right curtain in the middle but yet that lil sliver of light somehow manages to shine through...I really hate that. It was beaming in my eyes in the morning. They need to fix that. Other than that, this place was a nice home away from home.

We'll be having some more "alone" time here for sure. ;-)

Stayed for 1 night last July.
Staff very friendly and accomodating!  Clean in all aspects, carpet did not stink, big room, hot breakfast buffet.  The reason I'm only giving 4 stars though is because my friend slipped in the tub.  They need to put rubber pads in there.

I stayed in this hotel for two weeks, I wanted to get more Marriott points so this was a deal for the location (close to a lot of restaurants) and price (cheaper than Residence Inn and Courtyard).

The quality of the rooms and the ammenities are very good. The personnel is very friendly and willing to help you in anything.

    My dissapointment comes about:

    - There is not a Spanish Channel in TV (even thought Lodge Net Cable offers it in the other hotels around)

    - The brag about having a heated pool... it is not, the water is cold

    - Before staying there I called and ask if I could connect my PS3 and they say YES, well... I carry my PS3 all the way from Philadelphia to Fresno and... it did not work.  It looks like Lodge Net blocks the TV's or something. But that's not the point... I wouldn't carry the heavy PS3 if they would tell me the true.

    - The internet is super slow... sometimes it was like 11 kbps. Forget it!!!... even YouTube was suffering.

The only reason I give them 3 stars is:

    - Flat TV 32"
    - Housekeeping was very accomodating
    - Sink is outside of the bathroom
    - Very good Hot Breakfast with high end quality yogurt and bagels
    - Very clean

It's a Marriott with a fancy name meaning that you get a pull out bed that doubles as a couch and your room will also have a coffee maker and a mini fridge.

Super clean. Great *hot* breakfast. Service oriented front desk staff. Ask for extra pillows and your already comfy bed will be "oh so nice!"

Be sure to check out Cali's (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) across the street for some custard treats!

Best place in town by a long shot! The Hilton across the street is nice as well, but seriously... outside of these two places... not sure where I'd dare to stay in Fresno. Clean, new, relatively close to good food. Bam done.

Stayed here when visiting Fresno for  a swim meet, and was pleasantly surprised.  Facility is new and clean, and rooms were large, comfortable, and well-outfitted.  Ample parking and free breakfast in the morning with all the carbs you could ever want, including make your own waffles.  Staff was super nice, and accomodating, literally everyone we spoke to had a smile on their face.

My one criticism, which might sound minor but I feel is key to point out as a security risk - our room key was somehow demagnetized, and my partner went down to the front desk to have it re-set.  The person was happy to oblige him, but failed to ask for any identification as to who he was or whether he was actually staying in the room.  This absolutely should not happen, and puts guests in danger.

Springhill Suites offer a good value, clean, free breakfast, pool and work out room.

This location is near shopping/restaurants (not really walking distance).  It is the older style Springhill suites, but still very modern looking.  Breakfast was basic, but good.  Pool was slightly heating and the hot tub was hot.

This is my home away from home when I'm in Fresno, which is a lot these days.  Four nights a week I crash here.

It gets my 4 stars by being new, clean, comfortable and well-appointed.  The staff are friendly and helpful.  The hotel looks and feels like it is less than a year old.  The linens are still crisp and the furnishings look showroom new.  The breakfast buffet is pretty good.  I particularly like the make-it-yourself waffles ... ("In the morning, I'm making waffles!") USA Today at the room door each morning, housekeeping is on the ball and Marriott points into the bargain.  All in all very nice - they earned their 4-stars.

But not without the occassional hiccough:
-7:15AM showers are generally luke-warm; a sure sign they didn't install a large enough water heater - shower early with a friend ...
-Day in, day out, they have the same eggs and sausage.  Must have gotten a year's supply of sausage patties at Costco, because they show up every day.
-Eggs are about the size and shape of hockey pucks - only white with a hard yellow yolk in the center.
    - I once saw a few omlete-like objects which I first thought were yellow styrofoam, but were probably omletes ... probably.

Anyway, I stay here for the room and not the breakfast, so I just kvetching ...  If you're gonna be in Fresno for the long haul, you can't go wrong staying here.

I've stayed here probably three times with my boyfriend who travels here often. It's a pretty new hotel and it is very clean. They have a number of amenities & they have a good variety for their complimentary breakfast.

I enjoy that their rooms have a bedroom and a separate sitting area. Good water pressure. Hot water on the top floor takes a little bit, but that's ok.

Once again you get what you pay for,oh the beauty of capitalism,we do have choices. Apparently Fresno doesn't have many hotel choices. Room was clean, quiet and functional, towels are small and rough. Basic but certainly not bad, again have that unaccetable yelp 3.5 feel.

We will stay here again for sure!  It is super clean.  The bed is cozy.  It is a very comfortable set up when you are away from home.  From the moment we opened the hotel room door we were pleasantly suprised.  When my husband checked in, the gal at the front desk (great front desk staff BTW) gave him a spongebob room key for my daughter which she LOVED to say the least.  Good breakfast in the morning, however if you get around to the breakfast service one minute (literally) past 9:30 everything is locked up.

The best 2.5 stars from priceline I've ever slept.  There is more than bed&bath....It offers living room with mini-fridge, microwave, wireless Internet, complimentary hot breakfast, coffee/tea maker.  I think it was just established in 2007.  Security is so great. You have to use your room key card to enter each area.  I spent one night here after tripping back from Yosemite NP. Great  Stop.  Excellent Hotel.
