Things have improved since 2006.....
The one thing this property needs to do is replace those ancient and noisy AC wall units. It's a basic, inexpensive business hotel in the middle if the Research Triangle area in Durham. There's a fridge in every room, a desk, and free WiFi (although their connection isn't very reliable).
Their breakfast is free and so-so.... you get what you pay for. Avoid the processed egg patties and sausage flavored pork product.. They do offer cereal, fresh fruit and some basic Wal-Mart brand breakfast pastries.
They don't have a good business center; they have a computer that's remotely controlled by IBahn and it's very problematic.
The people at the front desk are friendly and helpful.

Positives: fridge and microwave in room, very slightly larger than normal room. Good quality bed and pillows. Free internet.
Negatives:
1. No hot water on the first morning. The whole hotel went out apparently.
2. Room phone didn't work.
3. Remodeling all over the halls.
4. Orange juice sludge for breakfast.
5. Thin walls means it's like you have a roommate.
6. Chirping fire alarm; front desk suggested I find a way to reach 12 feet up and unplug the battery myself.
7. Cheap furniture and decor.
8. Right next to I-40 means freeway noise.
9. Toilet didn't flush properly.
Spring for a better-maintained hotel in RTP.
