This is a funny coincidence, Kymm P, because I actually stayed here twice, because I was attending the New England District Key Club Convention.  Hopefully I wasn't one of the "out of control, horny teenagers" you encountered though, haha.

Anyhow, both times I stayed here, the rooms were clean and comfortable.  The window views are pretty nice, depending on what room you stay in. The service is good (there's not much to eat when you are confined in a hotel with nothing but an expensive restaurant and crappy food court in the adjoining "mall," so we did resort to some lovely, but obviously pricey, room service here and there).

There's a nice indoor pool and jacuzzi.  And, since I was there for a convention, I spent a good amount of time in their ballrooms and function halls, which were all big, clean, and pretty.

I happened to stay at this Marriott on the same weekend as the New England Key Club Convention was being held.

Lucky me. Hotel full of out of control, horny teenagers. Now that's what I call a good time.

My room had a nice view over the river and was very spacious. Since I was staying with some friends, we got double beds. Surprisingly, I didn't feel cramped at all and there was plenty of space for our 5 suitcases, 10+ pairs of shoes, and various toiletries (and this is only for a weekend...we can't grasp the concept of packing light...)

The staff were incredibly hospitable (considering all the crap they have to go through with these kids) and didn't hesitate to help . Aside from 1000+ high schoolers crowding the damn elevators (which go maniacally slow, by the way), the loud "hallway parties", and numerous young couples making out everywhere (get a room! ...oh wait, nevermind), my stay at the Marriott was pleasant.

The business center was free and convenient and (when not bombarded by the aforementioned kids) the pool was relaxing. The location is also easily to find and quite accessible...right off the highway.

I'd probably recommend the Marriott for a short stay in Springfield; its a better alternative to the Sheraton across the street. However, just make sure you're not booked in the same week as any high school convention...you'll avoid several awkward situations.
