I suck at golf. But there is hope because this place exists and it won't break my bank like Chelsea Piers can and will. The place is also Korean-owned and I thoroughly enjoy supporting my countrymen.
A Hamilton gives you 140 balls and if you throw in a Lincoln, you can bump that up to 220 balls. That's a 57% increase in balls for a 50% increase in pay! Now that's what I call a deal. They also have these membership cards where you can pay higher amounts from $100 to $1000 and above to get a card with a higher value on it. I remember $200 bringing you a card worth $230 (15% bump). If you live nearby and plan on coming often, these cards are probably worth the initial large payment. I don't know that many places that offer this kind of a deal. Then again, I don't know many places to begin with.
The facilities itself are very modern and clean with two floors of driving range satisfaction and ample parking. There's a pro shop, a putting area, a Korean cafe (fulfilling all your Korean pastries, ramen, and red bean shaved ice needs), and accompanying fans for each driving range partition. There's also a back area for smokers. They also provide lessons and I believe I saw about eight teachers available for hire. And finally, if you're not into golf, then there's a mini-golf course available right by the parking lot.
One piece of advice for evening golfers, bring bug spray.

great place to practice your swing as the rate for a bucket of ball is amazing. For $10, you would get 150 balls. For $15 you would get 220 balls! Great deal to go w. your friends and practice your golf game. This place is kid friendly as well as it has a mini-golf facilities.
Best bang for the buck to practice your game.
I used to play mini-golf here when I was in HS. These days, my boyfriend and I come for the driving range.
Spring Rock is probably my favorite driving range in the Queens/Nassau area. There are plenty of booths (two levels) and each booth has a fan to keep cool. Ball prices are fair. Nothing to complain about.
Spring Rock really deserves it a 3 but I am giving it 4 based upon the convenience factor.
It is located in close proximity to my house and no one is ever there. This place is practically empty every time I go which is nice for me, but probably bad for the owners.
Anyhow, the prices for buckets of balls are fair, I can't remember the exact price but I remember being pleased. The mini golf is kind of sub-par and boring, so the 4 stars are really for the driving range.
The one time I went to the mini golf with my boyfriend, the Chinese lady running the show had the clubs and balls ready by the time we got to the entrance. She must have saw us coming from the parking lot.
She couldn't even be bothered to utter a hello, just "14 DOLLA". No please, no thank you, she walked away as soon as she had the cash and that was the entire exchange.
She was pretty damn rude and I remember being pissed off with the lackluster course, so go elsewhere if mini golf is your thing.

So close to work that when I get off work, I end up seeing a lot of other scrubs there.
This is a no frills driving range that is priced GREAT! I must say that the amenities for the cost is worth it. I spend a lot of time here. The no frills go also for the lessons. The pricing is still lower than other places and the instructors basically teach quickly and then vanish. There is very little pandering to feelings. If anything goes up in cost (recession is a coming afterall), then I might change my mind.
Price is the big factor to why I am a regular with my silly pink irons.
Driving range.
I love this place in the summer as I can run over there at lunch, bang out a few buckets and still have time to grab a sandwich and head back to the office.
Open at night they offer two levels to tee off from and a n ice big driving range to practice your distance and aim.
The place gets down and out jammed at night so try to get there early or go later.
Big parking lot.

Going here on Thursday evening at 9pm, this place was completely packed. It took about 20-30 minutes to scout around and snatch up an available booth from one of the people who had only a few balls left to hit.
There are 50 booths upstairs and 50 booths downstairs. On the lower level is the cashier to purchase tickets to use at the ball dispensers. Prices were as follows: 100 balls for $10, 160 balls for $15, and 230 balls for $20 during regular hours (6 am - midnight). If you come during the morning/afternoon (6 am - 2 pm) on weekdays, you can get 280 balls for $20.
Located upstairs, the booths are grouped in different colors, ranging from red, purple, blue, yellow, orange, etc. I suppose it will make it a bit easier for friends to find each other. On the lower level, booths were simply divided by nets and rails. During the summer they had nice cool fans constantly blowing on you. During the winter, the heaters are out to keep you warm. A very nice accomodation. There are also several vending machines for drinks on each floor. Ball dispensers are located on both floors so you don't have to lug the balls up and down the stairs, which made things a lot more convenient. The golf range was pretty well-maintained, except for the wooden benches outside booths. The metal rods under the wooden benches were broken on several benches, which made the wood benches sag down a little. In all, this is a great driving range and prices are pretty good as compared to other driving ranges in the area.
