Review from Stephanie S.
Fremont, CA
The boyfriend and I had to go to a sports bar to watch last week's New England Patriots and Denver Bronco's game because they weren't showing it at home and instead of going to our usual spot Antonio's, the boyfriend said we should try here. He's been here once with his buddies before last year, but it was my first time here and I'm a fan!
When we got there, the game at started a little bit and the place was packed with football fans! (Most of them were Patriot fans, ready to watch Tebow time.) Fortunately, we found a seat right at the front of the TV (not the big screen). We got a pitcher and a pint (for $22, decent price) and some garlic fries. The bartender was very funny and friendly and kept cracking jokes about Tebow and everyone in there was super outgoing, talking to each other about stats and the plays and what not. It was a very fun experience. There are a lot of TV all around the bar, so you're able to catch multiple games going on at the same time.
It's kind of small so you'll probably have to get chummy with your neighbors if it's really packed, but everyone there is really nice, so no worries! I'd definitely come back here again to watch some football! -

I can't speak to this place outside the context of work happy hours, but Sports Page (aka Googleplex Building 50) is a decent place to get together w/ some colleagues for a pitcher or to watch sports because you live in SF and would otherwise miss half the game due to your commute.
The good:
- reasonably priced
- solid bar food selection
- good seating (kind of small inside, especially if you want a table, but they have a big patio with heaters)
- pretty large beer selection for as divey as it is
- lot of TVs
The bad:
- FULL of silicon valley employees during the week; most people are still wearing work badges and probably even tried to swipe into the place (we are awkward...)
- can get really crowded on Thursdays during Noogler happy hour
- the interior is sort of reminiscent from something that would be like on the set of That 70s Show
- parking is not great
The ugly:
- the bathroom (women's at least...) leaves a LOT to be desired -

Um. We call this Google Building 50. Littered with Silicon Valley company employees, secret nemeses, but united under the front of booze and fried foods.
Ladies' room in serious need of an update. Stalls tiny. Weird old ATM has a limit and old school. You can hear it DIALING!
Bar tenders brash and friendly. Capable. Recently, big handsome ones manning the outside bar on some nights. No the greatest drinks. Functional.
Love that if you order food will make it to your table outside. They've recently upgraded some of the onsite sports stuff (pool, volleyball court?)
Watch out trying to come in during drive traffic hours you may get trapped trying to turn in or trying to drive out as everyone uses the Shoreline exit to get to 101. Also beware drunken people who unwisely think they're sober enough to drive. Pretty generous parking, although they fill up fast.
Food choices basic, edible. Not particularly flavorful, gets the job done. Like the jalapeno poppers; garlic fries, chicken tenders, corndog, grilled cheese are meh. You eat the food as the equivalent to beer nuts - it's all fairly bland and flavorless, but comes with sauce and fried crunchiness. Add salt, dip away. You have to pay extra for sauces.
They take CC which is awesome.
For what it is - does the job. Expect nothing fancy, keep low expectations, you'll be satisfied. Service is prompt and professional. Carpet interior a bit musty/soiled. The sports folks seemed thrilled to hang out here, given the TVs and such.
Patio lamps scattered outside for when it gets cold. Not the most comfortable chairs/benches outside or in. Bring a light jacket.
We frequently use this place to:
- preparty for something else later
- blow off steam after work with friends or coworkers
- wish a coworker a happy birthday after work before scattering like ants
- wish a coworker moving on / let go a bon voyage
- get drunk
- hang out
Do not use this place to:
- seduce someone
- throw a baby shower
- woo your straightlaced boss -

I came here for a friend's birthday celebration. This place is a small homey, old sports bar and I can imagine only regulars come here. It's not next to any other late-night open spots. This is a true sports bar because there's lots of TV screens, including like 2 huge ones in the middle of the bar. It seems to be for the older crowd and I'm sure I was the youngest there. There was a sign that said you could throw a party there for free as long as you pay for your own DJ. There's a pool table in the back. I ordered a round of blowjobs and it was tasty.

It's an okay watering hole, impeccably located right near the google campus and the rest of the mountain view office jungle.
the good:
1. decent tap beer selection and decent wet bar
2. if you're inside - they have the games on so there -
3. the staff are pretty quick on their feet, which is nice
4. the ouside patio area is spacious, albeit run down and pretty amenable to conversations
the bad:
1. crappy food, plain crappy.
2. the interior looks depressing...
3. well...aren't the above reasons pretty bad already?
only if i am REALLY thirsty i'd return to SP..otherwise, my choice for HH is elsewhere. -

Say "thank you lucky stars" that Mountain View didn't allow this little gem to be bowled over and replaced with some pseudo Santana Row like they wanted to do a few years back. But a group of determined drunks kicked and screamed and threw back a lot of beers while signing petitions to keep this baby just where it is.
Pre-concert time at Shoreline would never be the same without a starter beverage at Sports Page. And then there's karaoke. This is one forgiving place to tune your pipes (whether untuneable or not) and sing to some of your favorite rock and roll songs. From Aerosmith to Def Leopard, I've sang songs I'd never try anyplace else. On hot summer days, wander out back for a game of volleyball or maybe a little Saturday afternoon music in the sun. If the game is on and you simply can't tear yourself away, tune yourself in to one of the numerous TVs strategically placed throughout the bar. And if you're hungry, the food doesn't suck.
Many a great memory has been made here and a few forgotten nights. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
TIP: Big parking lot for any sized vehicle. -

After a day in the sun, serving up beer to relatively drunk people, I wanted a pitcher of beer to myself in the cool, cool A/C. And Sports Page more than delivered...
In the land of pricey cocktail joints where I oftentimes mispronounce the ingredients in my food, Sports Page was a wonderful divey spot that brought me back home. Well, not home, since the Midwest is no longer where I reside. But it definitely made me feel safe and happy for a few hours.
Found this wonderful bar via Yelp - it's a perfect place to meet up before a show at Shoreline, which is exactly what we did. Several yelpers and I were headed to see Eddie Izzard so we met up here first. My friends and I shared a pitcher of Spaten as well as some appetizers. The chicken wings doused in Ranch dressing hit the spot! A frosty glass and some hot wing sauce made my stomach sing with happiness... I kid you not.
Service here is pretty quick, considering there's only one bartender inside and only one other guy taking orders at the kitchen window. Food came out pretty darn quick and the bartender is able to work the room with ease.
We didn't get to check out the outdoor patio, complete with sand volleyball courts, but I plan on heading back there sometime soon to enjoy the good times outside. Inside is nice and dark with several flat screen TV's on the wall for Giants fans.
Kick ass spot - it was a welcome change of pace for this Midwestern gal!Listed in: Watering Holes, Buffalo, Sports Bars

The best stuffed jalapeno ever!
Interior is very divey and on the outside looks like some kind of shack. Easy parking and a big outdoor area with benches, bar stools, umbrellas, dart boards, pool table, sandy area with nets to play around, karaokes on Wednesdays. I was curious to try mini poppers and glad I did.. perfectly fried and crunchy cheesy jalapeños with ranch dipping. Their fried chicken comes with fries -awesomO.. I didn't get to try their drinks as I was not feeling well but real happy hour drinks at all times :) Its cash only for orders less than $10. -

Decent place to hang out with work buddies. Their bar food I just can't resist... those jalapeno poppers - yum! Bonus: You might hear some good Google/LinkedIn gossip with your beer.

The drinks are good and the bartenders are really friendly. My guy and I are always shocked to see a liquor we haven't seen before and we spotted 2 whiskey bottles that we've never heard of. So the bartender brought the 2 bottles down and let us sample a little bit of each. One of em was really good so we ordered 2 shots of it.
This is the first time a bartender let us sample a hard liquor. And throughout the night he was cool...chatted with us and joked around. The only minus is the food. My guy had a philly and I had the steak sandwich.
The philly was really good, but really small. The steak sandwich was pretty flavorless and had the thinnest flap of meat I've ever seen in a sandwich.for the price, I'd expect a bigger sandwich.
But overall, cool place. Friendly bartenders and good atmosphere. -

Building 50!!
The go-to place for drinks - be it for birthday, good bye parties, or just a case of the Thursdays. Excellent mozzarella sticks and jalepeno poppers, a warm deck, and casual friendly service.
Big fan.
I've also had food here and it's spot on for your local semi-divey bar. Burgers, fries, beer. -

Google's go-to happy hour bar~ AKA Building 50.
The staff is always super friendly. It's a small dive bar so you're lucky if you find a table for a group after 6:00PM. They serve bar food for those looking for a snack while downing your pitcher of beer or after your 3rd martini. I don't think this is the bar to hit up if you're looking to meet someone... it's just not that kind of spot.
They have trivia night on Thursdays so if you're into that you and your buddies can come by and play with the other groups in the bar. If you win, I believe there's a $50 award.
This is an overall chill hangout spot for a happy hour if you're in the area. -

I came here on a whim last night and was pleasantly surprised!
I didn't check out the back area or anything, but the inside was nice. It was pretty small, I can see it getting very crowded, very quickly - especially on big sports nights. There is a moderately sized bar, and lots of table seating.
The bar had a great selection and the bartender was very cool, the service was fast and personable. Very cool. They also serve food, but I didn't order any.
I'll definitely be going back!Listed in: Bored In The Bay Area

Dive Bar Diva is back!! Back to back dive bar yelps? WTH? Brace yourselves as this is a Dive and Sports bar! Awwwyah!!!
It's rare that I trek to Mountain View, and on this one night in particular, that journey was made. Would you believe me if I told you that Pandas were on the loose in MV? Read on to find out as on that same evening, the pre-Bridge School Benefit concert at Shoreline festivities began at the Sports Page.
This place is most definitely a Sports and Dive Bar. Gotta love the dim lights, long tables, black and red pleather stackable seats. There is outdoor patio seating. Lots of draft beers to choose from and all of your favorite spirits, too. Standard pub food is here, nachos, burgers, sammies, which didn't make my socks roll up and down, especially with the cold cheese on the 'chos' and soggy, lukewarm fries. FAIL! - 2 Stars! But for reals, SB should be all about the drinking!
For your sports watching needs, there are way too many TVs to count in this establishment. I counted at the beginning of the evening, but somehow managed to forget after the Blue Moon pints and 3 Patron shots. Oh Mylanta! Friendly and efficient staff at the SP. My guy pals would probably disagree, but I had no problem whatsoever getting the attention of the bartenders. :)
Sat at the perfect place at the corner of the bar, close to the main TV screen, and yet I seemed to also have my own private one here http://www.yelp.com/us...
I nervously watched my Gmen clinch the NLCS pennant against the Phillies. It was a nailbiter. Of course, the drinking did calm the nerves. Durtty, I mean J. Sanchez gave a strong pitching performance, but BWizzy and his beard fearing ways came in for the big Save! Woot! And the crowd went wild!
Cheers!Listed in: Dive Bar Diva's List

It's a Dive and a Sports Bar all rolled up into one.
Great outdoor seating, and NO COVER...
Take a moment...I said NO COVER.
With that being said, don't go looking for your potential hook up here. The men are focused and the women don't want to be bother by your bougie lines about "hey baby, want me to buy you a drink." It's all sports on the TV's 24/7.
Stick to the vibe. Order up something fried, bring a friend or a bunch of people from work, and DRINK. 'Nuff said. -

I finally made it here! A dive in Mountain View, near Google and the movie theater. They had karaoke. They had people smoking. They had a decent selection of beers. It was kinda pricey for a beer at a dive ($5 a pint) but that's ok. The crowd here definitely seemed more middle-aged, but if you came here with a group of friends, you could make your own fun for sure.

When I lived in Palo Alto, I would turn to the Page every Sunday for football. I dragged my sleepless ass in here countless times at 10 AM after being up all night as an intern in the hospital.
There's something about drinking quality tap beer with traditional breakfast while watching ball with a bunch of people who care that kept my soul alive that year.
Sports Page completely blows away places like Old Pro for sports viewing. People don't get up while their game is going. Everyone wears their home jersey. People get legitimately angry at the fans of the other team. I've never seen a fight, but it's come close. There is a big Pittsburgh Steelers contingent, which is a definite catalyst for passionate viewing.
A point off for the bar service being rude at times. -
Review from Joe L.
Came here with the co-workers to grab some brew before watching The Expendables next door. At first sight it doesn't look like much but wait till you go the outside patio. I thought the volleyball court was a nice touch. Too bad they didn't have Pilsner Urquell on tap as the menu stated but Spaten is a great selection as well.
The nice lady taking orders in the kitchen is such a sweetheart and I dig her accent. She explained some of the specials and items on the menu well as let me try the hot sauce for the wings to judge the spiciness then asked the kitchen to make me spicier wings. She brought us our food outside and asked us how everything was/ asked what we needed. Awesome huh? The bartender was nice enough to not skimp on the shots as well.
I tried the buffalo wings which were not tiny surprisingly with a fair kick and a burger with the name whose name I can't seem to remember. Something with an S I believe, which had guac and fresh jalapenos inside which was pretty decent too. I'll be sure to try the jalapeno poppers next time since they looked pretty good. This will be the new go to spot if I'm ever in the area. Great first experience so I shall return. -

I've been to this this place several times now. Whenever I am in the neighborhood, I'd stop by for a beer. It's conveniently located, friendly bartender, & reasonable price.
My only suggestion is that they should get the tables & chairs replaced. They are really kind of run down after god knows how many years been there. Kind of dive bar like. But not a show stopper. I still stop by often.
I like the outdoor tables, under the sun late afternoons. They have a beach ball setting in the backyard outdoor area, very nice too. -

Good old Building 50. The Sports Page is that bar where everyone from Google goes after work.
Super divey sports bar with lots of beers on tap and a great staff. Kick it inside on cold days or when you want to actually watch a game on one of the TVs. Or kick it outside on a nice summer afternoon and ask the staff to turn on the heat lamps when it gets cold. Order some food - whatever you get will be deep fried. Garlic fries, chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, mushrooms - keep 'em coming. Goes great with a cold beer and good friends.
If you so desire, there's also darts, table tennis, pool, and beach volleyball, all outside. They also do things like karaoke on Wednesdays. Yes, really, karaoke. It's also the local Florida Gators bar. (Boo Gators!)
The question that everyone asks - what is upstairs? I guess we may never find out. -
Review from Daniel H.
I've been here a few times with my coworkers while I was still at the company for my summer internship. This place was great because they had a wide selection of beers on tap as well as food/snacks. They had billiards tables, dartboards, and a sand volleyball court. There's a bar outside so you won't have to go back inside to order something. My coworkers always ordered a pitcher of Stella beer from here. They had a bunch of flat screen TVs with each playing a different sport.
Overall, a good place to unwind after work and I'm sure like 80% of the people that come here are from Google since their buildings are everywhere. =) -
Review from Monica A.
I really like this place because it is what it is...nothing fancy, real simple, and relaxed kind of bar.
Environment? -Old and run down...but thats the great part!
Like I said earlier it's the ambiance that makes it such a great spot. You can't come here and expect a modernized lounge. Again, the feel of the place leaves you very relaxed. You walk in and the inside is very tiny, but most people sit outside in the sun anyways. There is plenty of space to eat outside and even a net if you choose to play a game of drunk volleyball.
Food? - Just bar food, nothing fancy
The classiest thing they'll have is during St. Patrick's days when they serve their corned beef platter. During every other time of the year, it is just run o' the mill bar food. You have a plethora of fried food options, and a fairly decent salad and sandwich selection. I've gotten the chicken strips and fries and I have no complaints, it fresh and they give you just enough. They are also kind enough to start you off with some chips and salsa on the house.
Service? -They treat everyone like a regular
This is what I really like about this place. They are never snobby and never rude. You can tell they appreciate the business and are real keen on mingling with the customers. Efficiency wise, they are quick and I have never had a problem with my food or drinks once.
Price?- No need to lighten your pockets!
Two beers + a sandwich w/ fries + chicken strips w/fries + chips and salsa =$21. I've been to some places where $21 would only cover the beer.
Enjoy the game! -

Attending a show at the Shoreline?
Look no further! Come here to get hammered beforehand and you'll thank me later. (unless you black out) Cheap drinks, good selections of beer on tap (crucial), friendly bartenders, and good bar food. Who doesn't like fried greasy food with beer? A match made in heaven!

This is a "to the point" sports bar - tables, ample TVs, a bar, and a kitchen. Nothing else you really need to enjoy the game.
That said, it's a bit of a dive. This isn't the place to shoot the breeze with your waitress because... well, at least when I went, there were no waitresses.
There's a patio and sand volleyball court out back; I'm sure that gets pretty fun on a nice night. Good place to catch up after work, watch the game, or grab something before heading over to Shoreline. -

Every time I went to Century 16 or down to shoreline for a concert, I always saw this place and wanted to go in.
Finally I did! It looks like a dive/sports bar and that's exactly what it is! We decided to go down here on a Sunday to watch football.
They have a TON of tvs with all the games you want to watch on. We happened to go on a Sunday that was playing World Series Giants as well as football games.
The bartender was friendly and made sure the TVs we were sitting by were on the games we wanted to watch.
Being a bartender myself, I tend to judge a bartender by their bloody mary. And he definitely didnt disappoint. We also had some buffalo wings that were also very good!
They have a HUGE outdoor patio with a volleyball court. Although I havent made it out for a game yet, I will def be coming around next summer to play! -

Long day of meetings. Caps are in the playoffs, and we want to catch the game. I'm not even a huge hockey fan, but I know a good idea when I hear it (sports+bar+beer+patio = happy).
Apparently the only sports bar anywhere close to Google is the Sports Page. So be it - we were game.
Is this place a dive? Yes. Does this place have TVs? Yes. Are they jumbo size? Hell no. Is the beer selection good? Yes. Fat Tire, Guiness, Stella ... it has something for everyone. Except your friend who drinks Coors Light. Stop hanging out with him. Would you eat the food here? Only if I was drunk.
Four stars for the service. Bartender went out of his way to hook us up by opening up the patio bar and letting us watch the Caps game outside. Caps lost. Beer still tasted good though. -

Since I work at Google and Sports Page is pretty much our bar on campus, I've definitely been here my fair share of times. Love love love it here! The bartenders are great, uber friendly. The drinks are decently priced and are not skimpy on the booze. But my ultimate favorite part of SP is the outside seating, bar, and ping pong tables.
There's absolutely nothing more relaxing than hanging out with coworkers/friends after work on Fridays, lounging in the afternoon sun, and playing some hard core ping pong while sipping on a delicious mojito, tequila sunrise, or malibu and orange juice (yea yea, they're girlie drinks. I'm a girl, what are you gonna do?)
Also on Wednesday nights they do kareoke. And well... you know how that goes. Fun upon more fun. But only if you're down about 5 drinks.
Definitely a good local bar to go to. I'm there every Friday after work pretty much, and some weekdays too, so stop by and say hi sometime! And then I can kick your butt in ping pong. -

If you're looking for an easy-to-get-to bar with sports appeal and affordability, Sports Page in Mountain View is for you!
Located conveniently near Google and next to Century Theaters off Hwy 101, this sports bar is a great place to get together with some co-workers or friends. It's not the greatest looking place inside or out, but the beer and food prices are insanely affordable. This bar houses 16 tv's showing all televised sporting events. It has a full bar and food menu with a patio that accommodates 300 people. Propane heaters keep everyone warm when lounging around outside while enjoying a few cold ones. If you want to play some beach volleyball, plan on getting there early to wait unless you get lucky. They have a full court set aside with lots of sand. Plan on bringing some sort of ID or driver's license to be held at the bar while you play. Tipsy sand vball is always fun and make sure you watch your footsteps!
All in all, I always have a great time there. Plenty of parking, a good selection of beer, ales and spirits, and a lively crowd always calls for a great night!Listed in: Places that cause debt

I can't exactly say I love the ambiance inside... it's a little dirty bingo hall-ish to me. The crowd seems like your typical sports bar crowd which is ok with me since my fiance and I went there to watch a Suns basketball game. The bartender was kind enough to change one of the TV's even though most people were there to watch the Sharks game.
The patio is very large and fun. It has a nice "bbq-ing with some friends" atmosphere which we really enjoyed. There is a sand volleyball court and many picnic tables, umbrellas and heat lamps. If the weather is good, this is definately a great place to hang out. The only con is they don't have any TV's outside to watch the game.
The food is your typical bar food. We were not very impressed with the nachos, they were greasy and the meat was a little mysterious. The chicken wings were AWESOME! They were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked. The sauce was delicious and since recently moving to the bay area this is the best place for wings I have found. The food is ordered snack bar/concession stand style but is dropped off by the waitstaff.
Overall, SPORT'S PAGE is a great place to watch a sporting event. -

I would normally rate a place like this 2-3 stars, depending on the visit. It's pretty small and dark, just your average uninteresting sports bar that serves greasy bar food. However...
1. It's the "South Bay Swamp." I watch UF games here and it's a fun time. The bar staff is very hospitable and there are a thousand TVs, give or take, so seeing is never a problem.
2. The salads are surprisingly good. Crisp lettuce, big portions, decent prices.
3. There's a big outdoor patio I've yet to use but am looking forward to when it's warmer. -

Well I was at the Sports Page Bar & Grill for the first time this past Thursday to officiate a Memorial Celebration. Yep, you heard me right...Memorial Celebration. The Memorial was held in the patio area just behind the outside sand volleyball area.
Outside patio area is very large with plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas to sit under. Seemed that there were people outside playing some sort of game as there was a man spouting stuff off via a microphone.
Inside area was a typical sports bar with a few tables, bar counter & of course TVs playing sports channels.
I think this place was great, as a Minister of the gospel I officiated a beautiful Memorial Celebration at this location and for me that's 5 stars in my book! -

This is a pretty good sports bar. Lots of beers on tap for $5, plenty of tvs and seating inside.
The outside is the best part, however. They a volleyball court, pool tables, dart boards, and ping pong tables. It's huge. This would be a great place to come after work to let loose, have some drinks, and play games.
My next suggestion: a bonfire pit because being outside makes you feel like you're at the beach. -

Ahh...the memories.
The Sports Page was THE place to go to before and after our co-ed softball games. I don't really remember eating anything there, I usually would get Taco Bell to go and bring it to the bar haha. We would get pitchers of beer and just relax. It's a fun, casual sports bar. They also have a nice outdoor area as well. They even used to have karaoke and trivia nights back in the day, but not sure about now.
The crowd is friendly and fun...definitely would recommend it. -

Sports Page, you've impressed me. I ordered a Cobb salad fully expecting it to be withered iceberg letuce + unfresh ingredients, but it was made with fresh romaine, bacon, celery, chicken, and egg and HUGE. Thank you for making me full after a mostly food-less day so I wasn't thinking about my stomach during the Dark Knight.
Stop here if you need a quick bite before a movie. Bartender is friendly, and food is cheap. -

3 for the beer on tap (Spaten Lager, Anchor Steam, Stella Artois, etc.,...)and quick service. Good mix of people and lots of TVs to watch the game(s). The bar food was average, but read the reviews prior to going and got exactly what was talked about. My friend had been there a while ago, and it sounded like there were some upgrades to the TVs.
Would give it more stars, but smelled like a urinal cake; minty.? -

"I need a drink" is a common enough phrase heard in the office, so much that I have a bottle of tequila in my office. Of course, there's only so much work you can accomplish when drunk so the bottle is still sealed as it's for the purpose of emergencies only.
Last week a couple of my coworkers and I randomly stopped by Sportspage, fully expecting a completely dank, tiny, dive bar. Imagine our surprise when we saw the large, open (and sunny!!!!) patio outside... most tables were empty (this is indicative of our drinking habits) and ours for the taking!
We had tequila, we had spatzen, we had apple martinis, we had miller light (bleh!), we had jaegar and.... well, more jaegar. Drinking in the sun with good company, what's not to like?!? We had ourselves a gosh darned merry time /jitterbug dance/.
Will be back, sooner than later.
