Was looking for gifts for two baby making couples but had no idea what to get. The suggestions were great! Right in the price range I needed. Overall great visit. -

This is a cute little boutique shop for baby items.
I called ahead to make sure they had an item I wanted, and they even asked if I wanted it in a particular color.
The pricing was really reasonable and if i'm even in a bind to find baby presents and Babies R Us is too overwhelming, I'll be sure to come here. -

Worse Ever! DO NOT BUY STUFF FROM HERE.
Owner seemed nice initially at the store but everything went downhill after my order. Ordered Duc Duc nursery set from them, took 7 months to receive it. Lead time was supposed to be 12 weeks at most. When delivering, freight company refused to do the white glove delivery that I paid for. Had to be on the phone with the owner of this store to have him call them to tell them we did pay for it. Finally, they were willing to bring in the furniture inside the house but they only had 2 guys and my husband had to help them lift big and heavy furniture that only 4 people could comfortably move. Furniture had warped drawer fronts for the armoire and changer. Told owner and he said he would contact the vendor and order replacement. When we got the pieces 2 months later, turns out the owner ordered the wrong one. Decided to contact the vendor directly and am still waiting for the pieces still. It's been almost a year. Both the vendor Duc Duc as well as this store owner have no idea what they are doing and are both unprofessional and don't give a care about their customers. I called dozens of times to find out the status of my order. I am very suspicious if my order was even put through to be honest until I kept questioning everything. I've never been so upset dealing with ordering furniture. The worst thing was that my baby had to sleep in a plastic container because the crib just never came. We did order a bassinet for the time being but then she outgrew that too. No apologies or willingness to be helpful, never returned calls.Comment from Billie Jo S. of Spoiled Beginnings 8/22/2011

If you haven't heard already, Spoiled Beginnings is closing our doors :( It's a sad time for all of us and we'll miss you all deeply. Thank you for being such loyal and great customers. We close the doors on September 30th so stop by to say goodbye and check out our liquidation sale schedule below.
YIKES! I had an unresolved issue still. I guess it doesn't matter now, but their follow up on resolving issues was horrible! Don't know what to do now. Hopefully everyone gets their issues resolved with the manufacturer. Good luck! -

I ordered a lot of furniture and am waiting still for a white leather monte grano recliner and a blue bloom high chair. its been several months and have not received it. I hope my issue gets resolved soon.

I'm disappointed to have to write a negative review for a mom and pop shop. However, I had an experience that was so lacking in professional customer service that I am compelled to let everyone know. Additionally, after reading another negative review for this store with almost the same experience I feel that it is even more important to communicate the issues.
I purchased over $3,500 worth of furniture at this store. I will say that at the store they are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They have a great selection of high-end products. It took forever to get the furniture. Longer then they had quoted. However, at the time it was not a huge issue for me. I went back and ordered a custom chair specifically because they were more willing to work with me and give me better pricing than Bergstroms. But this is where the positive points end. I called twice after the quoted time for the arrival of the chair had past. Once I finally got a hold of someone (because no one called me back) I was told that (surprise) your chair happens to be here on the same day that you chose to call! They advised that it would be delivered to my house immediately. They also said that the rug I ordered would come soon as well since the company was in California and it wouldn't take long to ship. This was odd to me since I ordered and paid for the rug WEEKS prior so why didn't they send it to me right away?
The thing that made me irate was when the chair was delivered by courier they stupidly left the shipping labels on them from when it was delivered from the manufacturer to their store. The label indicated that the chair had been sitting at their shop for OVER A MONTH! So literally not until I called to inquire on its whereabouts did they decided it was OK to finally send the chair that I had paid for. I called the store and expressed my dissatisfaction over this. I was told the owner was at some kind of seminar and that he would call me back. I NEVER received a call back.
I have advised my extensive network of moms and moms-to-be to avoid this establishment. Had they taken the time to call me back or perhaps trained their employees to relay messages to the owners (giving him the benefit of the doubt) I would not be writing this review regardless of the obvious lapse in customer service by holding my merchandise hostage for a month. -

We love this store! When I was pregnant with my first child, we saw this cute boutique and happened to walk in. I was so pleasantly surprised to find the nicest people with the cutest merchandise. I had no idea about anything baby related with this being my first child and one of the employees, Stephanie and the owner, Billie Joe, explained to me everything that I needed to know. They didn't make me feel stupid with all of the questions that I asked and basically went around the whole store and explained the purpose of all of the items. My husband and I were so impressed by their knowledge and customer service we decided to register with them.
It was so easy to register and they have all of the must haves. All of my friends and family that bought items from the registry all commented how wonderful this store is. They liked the ease of ordering from the registry and how organized they were at the store. The owners, Billie Joe and Ben, are both caring and professional. They make me feel at home whenever I walk in the store.
I ordered all of my baby furniture through them as well as custom bedding. I was so pleased with everything that I received. All of my furniture came on time and was hand delivered by Ben when it came in. When ordering the custom bedding, Billie Joe took about 2 hours to help design exactly what I wanted. Everything came out perfectly! They went above and beyond to help me be completely satisfied with all of my purchases. They are personable and communicated promptly by phone and email. This was the first place I went to after my baby was born! I couldn't wait to share the news that my baby had arrived!
I would highly recommend this fabulous children's boutique without any hesitation. -

Ben and the staff at Spoiled Beginnings were GREAT. They were very helpful when we needed to purchase a stroller for our first child. We also found they were very honest and could tell us what would be useful and what is not.
Best part is they helped me install our car seat so it was safe and ready to carry of new child home from he hospital.
I will be purchasing more items from them as our child gets bigger! -

Unique unique unique!!! This place had all the unique and hard to find items for babies. Staff is AWESOME. I walked in 5 minutes before closing, and stayed for maybe 45 minutes, and they didn't complain.
This place is one of the few boutiques that carries the Muu Crib, but I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service I received so I bought a few more items.
Owner is VERY knowledgeable about every single product. don't hesitate to ask him questions!!!
I also had my eye on an expensive high chair, when I asked him about his opinion, he raved about a different high chair that was actually HALF the price! They're not interested in up-selling the moms to be, but only interested in making sure you're buying something that you'll love.

Found this store because I was interested in sustainable non-toxic baby furniture. Although they don't have a huge array of stuff, their stuff is of good quality and the options were great. I ordered and received the Ouef crib and Naturepedic mattress. I didn't want to buy online due to issues that may arise if I received it incorrectly or there was damage during the shipping process. Customer service was great. They emailed me tracking information when the order was shipped from the warehouse.
I didn't have a problem with their customer service at all. They said my crib would take approximately 8 weeks for delivery. I called around the 6th week and followed up. Also, the owner, Ben, and this staff are very knowledgeable in their products and that is another reason why I feel so comfortable shopping here.
I do plan on shopping for other organic bedding as well as other baby items here and I would highly recommend them to my friends. -

I loved this store until I actually bought something. My wife and I perused their unique and quality (or shall I say expensive) store numerous times for a stroller, crib, recliner, etc. Their selection is relatively small in some areas, but the majority of their products are of high quality.
We bought a $750 chair, expected delivery of 6-7 weeks (custom order). However, we are 11 weeks from the date we purchased the purchase date and we still do not have a chair. There was a problem with the order and when the chairs were set to be delivered, they were all the wrong colors. We were not told about this until the day after (when I called) the expected delivery date. That was 4 weeks ago and I have not been called since.
I understand that people make mistakes, but to not receive any calls about the mishap or when a new chair would be ordered and delivered is unacceptable.
Very disappointed in their lack of customer service and will most likely never visit this store again. I do not recommend buying anything that would be a custom order. -

This place is great! We went there looking for a Munire crib (the only place close by that has them) not expecting much (since the web site has tons of cribs on it that are WAY over our price range). Needless to say we found exactly the crib that we wanted for way cheaper than we were expecting. Well within our price range and exactly what we want.
The owner was there when we were there and was extremely helpful in answering our questions. They do have some extremely nice stuff that is unfortunately out of our price range, but I was shocked to how much stuff they had that was really nice, in our price range, and actually competitive with online prices (we had previously been shopping around for strollers and carseats and saw our model there). Between the great service and great selection I'll be back for other stuff, which I wouldn't have initially predicted. They're picky about the stuff that they carry, and as a result they really carry great items at the correct price. I was very pleasantly surprised.
We'll be ordering the crib this weekend. I really do feel like I'm getting a great deal from someone that will actually take care of me in the long run if something is wrong.
Great relaxed settings, prices just right, great selection, wonderful service, and you know you're getting quality items since the owners are parents themselves and read the same books we do and have tested out the items that they sell themselves. We'll be back, more often than I had planned! Definitely go here! -

Spoiled Beginnings is a cute boutique with furniture, strollers, car seats, rocking chairs and gifts. I stopped by for baby furniture specifically. They have modern and traditional collections with cribs ranging from $350 to $1100. The selection may be limited in quantity, but that's just because they only carry the best stuff. I shopped around for a good price on the crib I want and Spoiled Beginnings had the best price. They also carry Aden + Anais and Dwell Baby accessories.

The thought of going into Babies R Us brings up feelings of anxiety. Would it be too harsh to say that going into that Babies R Us makes me feel like I need to wash my hands like I have OCD?
Thank god for Spoiled Beginnings in Costa Mesa, where shopping for baby furniture was a pleasure. I found Spoiled Beginnings in Costa Mesa while searching for a store in Orange County that carried Munire gliders. I knew I wanted a more modern style for our daughter's nursery. I didn't end up with the Munire glider, but did buy another brand from the store - and I registered for the rest of our nursery furniture there as well.
Ben is such a great resource and knows everything about strollers, furniture etc. It was so refreshing to have such a great selection & talk with someone with real knowledge after traumatic experiences at baby super stores.
Spoiled Beginnings features high quality baby furniture, not particle board covered with lacquer posing as quality. We chose a set by Argington - hip, and modern as well as environmentally conscious. They also carry some more traditional styles.
I've been to Bergstrom's and other baby furniture stores, and I think that the owners have really looked for the best in class to feature in their store so that shoppers are not overwhelmed.

I just love this store! They are a small store but have a great selection of items. The owner is so friendly and so helpful. I hate making the trek out to babiesrus so having this store nearby is great. It's so important to support the local small businesses. This store is definitely worth checking out!

Spoiled Beginnings is such a cute and relaxed place to get some hip modern and smart baby gear. The guy that helped me out must have been the owner that is mentioned in the other reviews he was so cool and helpful and in no way pushy or snooty. This place is a must goto weather you're looking for furniture, bedding, bibs, or a super sweet sounding CD of U2 lullabies. I'm a fan:)

I love everything about this store!
Ben (the owner) is amazing to work with. He is so knowledgeable and such a pleasure to do business with. I am having twins and was searching all over the internet for specific products that I was told were perfect for twins and when I went in to the store they had them all right there in house or ordered them for me at no additional cost. Personally, I like to see and feel the product before I make my purchase so Spoiled Beginnings was a dream come true for me! The products are high end and the prices were identical to what I found online so I didn't even have to hassle with online shopping pay for shipping! Even the company that they use to make all deliveries is amazing!
All around it was and is a great experience to do business at Spoiled Beginnings! I will go back for all of my baby needs and recommend them to all of my friends! -

I was so impressed with my experience at Spoiled Beginnings that I had to share.... They have all the hard to find/unique things I have been searching for. The staff was very knowledgeable and exceptionally helpful without the "boutique" attitude. I received the personal attention that I have never gotten at Babies R Us or any other baby store. They had the Orbit stroller I was looking for (in stock!) and they took the time to explain every feature to me. I would definitely recommend Spoiled Beginnings to my friends and family! I think they are the premier baby store of Orange County.
