9 reviews for Spoiled A Day Spa
The 60 minute Relaxation Massage was indeed relaxing. You get to lie underneath a nice cushy blanket while the massage therapist kneads at your sore spots. Feels awesome, and the music is great too. Just be careful that the massaging is not too deep and strong. I didn't say anything during the massage, and now my shoulder is sore - it feels bruised!
Parking is available in the side streets. There's also a nice cafe nearby called "Aroma" that I recommend.
I recommend making an appointment. They have late hours on some days, which is a plus for working people.
Five stars for John, an aerospace engineer, who does pedicures as a sideline. I know it sounds really weird, and I don't think the guy is a foot fetishish, he claims he got into it (many years ago) by giving pedicures to ex-wife #1.
John is extremely meticulous, does an incredible pedicure - even the polish lasts longer due to his method of application.
So why only 3 stars? Well, when I tried to make another appointment, I was told not so fast. We'll put you on a list and when we make up the calendar for two months later, we'll give you a call. Never heard from them again. Guess they don't want my business. I didn't bother calling back because no matter how wonderful John is, going from Marina del Rey to Studio City for a pedicure is a little crazy.
If you live nearby, and are prepared for what I consider attitude in getting an appointment, you won't be disappointed by John. And btw, so that there will be no sticker shock - he charges $75.

I love this place for its unpretentiousness and great estheticians.
The facials are great, the other spa services are reportedly very good as well.

I found Spoiled on the interweb and decided to go there with a friend for my birthday. I had a pedicure and a massage and I was extremely happy. It's in a really cool neighborhood away from the hustle & bustle and silicone of LA. My friend that went with me hasn't stopped going to Spoiled since that day (3 years ago).

I wish it was decorated little more. To create more of an ambiance. Why do most day spas look like hospitals? This place is good for getting in and out. Christine was my facial technician. She did a good Job. I got the " no frills facial". Its is a 45 minute facial for a reasonable $65.

My friend introduced me to Spoiled. She said that Hilary Duff comes here, haha, and she said they did a very thorough job, so we booked our appt's about a week in advance with ease.
Anyhow, it was $30 bucks for a pedicure, including a paraffin dip. I guess most pedicures cost around that much or a little less anyway, so might as well splurge a little bit? They only use OPI nailpolish, it seems pretty clean. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, but there was only one pedicure station for us (I think they only have two, the only other one was occupied by the John guy), so we had to take turns instead of going at the same time. Estella did a really nice job and she was super sweet.
I definitely recommend it if you feel the need to treat yourself to a little getaway. Not the best pedicure in the whole wide world, but a nice quaint little place. Treat yourself to some Aroma Cafe a few doors down after you're done being spoiled.

I've been getting facials at Spoiled for three years. Their estheticians are well-trained and don't try to push products or extra services on you. I've seen a significant difference in my skin since I started going to Spoiled. All the estheticians are down-to-earth and fun, which adds to the overall spa experience.
P.S. I've tried a manicure / pedicure there (although not with the acclaimed John), and felt it was nothing exceptional.
I've been going here every year for my birthday for the body facial-a full body scrub and one hour massage. I always get the same exact thing. This year, after getting scrubbed down and cleaned off, I settled in for one hour of pure bliss. The massage therapist started rubbing me and asked me, "How's the pressure?" I told her I'd like more pressure, so she applied more. I was getting ready to walk out (my boyfriend had purchased me a gift certificate and tipped them) when I was told that I owed extra because I had had a DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE! First of all, yeah right, that was not a deep tissue massage. Second of all, the massage therapist simpy asked me how the pressure was. It's standard for any massage therapist to ask you how the pressure is. She did not mention any extra charges or anything. I thought that was pretty sheisty. Does "How's the pressure?" automatically translate into "If you don't like it, you'll pay extra." Also, they need to learn what a deep tissue massage really is. It is painful. This woman just rubbed lotion on my back.
Awesome facials. And the Best massage ever by Natalie. She really knows how to give you exactly what you want. I left feeling like jello.
