Review from Bronwyn E.
Portland, OR
This place seems to have gotten sub-par reviews in the past. I will share my take. Yes, it's a trendy, dark, bar spot. I'm not into bars- especially dark ones, and their patio is small (Just right in front of the restaurant). I did go here with a friend this summer though, and I thought the prices were reasonable. The Happy Hour food is cheap (Although their drinks seemed over-priced, which balanced things out). I ordered average wine, but I'm not sure if you had to order alcohol to get the happy hour. The gorgonzola Fries were amazing, and very distinctive. Very rich, and very good. They sponsored a "Sex and the City" movie Party last year and have been promoting events in the community. They are short on staff, and seem to only have 1-3 people working the tables, but I do think it's because of the economy. With the closing of Zao Noodle Bar, and now Borders books, I hope they continue to do well at Bridgeport Village and not go under either.

Good glass of Willamette valley vineyard wine.
Weird vibe about the place with sports on the t.v. and wine in my glass. The hostess at the restaurant across the street and said it was a wine/sports bar...that just seems weird to me.
My server kept on calling me honey, dear and sweetie and other weird names
Like that, kinda took me off guard. I normally only reserve the right to be called that by my grandma and a 3am Denny's waitresses.
But since I normally just judge a place by it's food, that is where this place defiantly failed to deliver. Putting a thin overcooked slice of burger, a cube of tomato, some limp bacon, a leaf of lettuce and some aioli between some none-toasted (well it looked like they tried to toast it, but you know what happens when you just throw some white bread on a dirty BBQ...faux grill marks!) baguette and calling it a slider is just wrong in so many ways... I could have lived with everything else, but the meat! Seriously, it was like one of those 50¢ mccheese burger things. -

Only been here twice and not really impressed. Both times I had the same bartender who seems annoyed to be there and a little to pushy on ordering more drinks.
This is also the first place that wouldn't let me order another happy hour drink until my glass was bone dry. Literally only had a sip left and bartender stood there and watched me polish it off before I could officially order another.
Food is okay. Ordered pork sliders as a meal for happy hour and they were no larger than a quarter. For reals!
Definitely have no intentions of checking this out again. -

Can I do less than 1 star? Showed up at 9:15pm (hours say open till 11pm), there were people there and the neon on the door said open. We walked in and a gentleman told us, "we are slow and closing and I already did last call." Real glad we drove over-not impressed.

I had such fond memories of this place! I kept dreaming about the best Arnold Palmer I've ever drank...and sadly, they don't serve this drink anymore! :( In fact, they didn't even have iced tea! :( :( I suggested meeting at Split, because we were meeting for a movie at the Bridgeport theater. The happy hour menu was a little on the pricey side. I ordered a Caesar salad for $4, the cup of mushroom soup for $4, diet coke for $3. The mushroom soup was tasty, but the Caesar salad was boring. I would have preferred a different type of salad, but Caesar was it on the HH menu. I looked over at my friend's sliders, and they were very laughable. So tiny...I've never seen sliders so tiny! Service was friendly, tho.

Nice atmosphere, D+ service, D+ drinks, D+ food. Small and cozy with nice decor. When waiter asked what we wanted to drink and we couldn't decide, he just stood there staring at us for long, silent, uncomfortable moments as we looked at the menu. We had to tell him to come back (duh). I ordered their #1 drink and the waiter told me they were, "out" of it. The drink I got was crappy and expensive. Calamari was very greasy.

This restaurant is appropriately named, and Split is what I did. I will not return. Before I go into today's experience, I would suggest that anyone who is even considering visiting this restaurant first view their health inspection reports available online through Washington County. Their 9/30/11 inspection found them cited for 3 critical violations (20G, 31E, 31F) and 5 non-critical violations (15K, 22B, 23A, 98A, 98Z) . Their 5/19/11 inspection found them cited for 4 critical violations (3G, 3H, 41P, 7A) and 5 non-critical violations (15K, 23A, 42F, 98A, 98Z). Need I say more?
But back to today. I went to the mall around 5:30 for xmas shopping, and decided to try this place out. I entered the restaurant at the same time as three white women, and patiently waited while they were seated. The seater then came up to me, I said "one" and he mumbled something and walked away. I said "excuse me" and he said two words: "anyplace open." I asked "where is open" and he said in an arrogant tone "anyplace you can find a seat." I told him I would find a seat in another restaurant, and Split. -

Let me preface this review that I have worked in restaurants, and generally if service is crappy, I still tip 15% so I'm not a pretentious douche.
My husband and I went in on a Saturday night to get out of the cold and I immediately thought the place looked pretty cool. Nice atmosphere and we were seated immediately. Sounds good, right? Wrong.
When we asked if we could order food at the same time as drinks, the waiter (who later turned out to be the manager) seemed annoyed with us. I asked him to clarify the size of the Wedge Salad (some places it's HUGE and some places not) and he rolled his eyes and said, "It's a quarter of a head of lettuce." He walked off with out saying anything. When the Wedge came, it was TINY and tasted like Hidden Valley blue cheese topped with bacobits.
I didn't complain to my husband but when the rest of our order came, they brought out the wrong item for me, and my husband's burger literally had a bite taken out of it. The girl who brought it out took off before we could even say anything.
I stood up and found our original server, who said he was the manager. We certainly weren't going to ask for something new since it seemed sketchy, so I told him the service sucked and I put cash on the table for my salad. He shrugged and we took off.
Wish I had read the other reviews before going there! -

Tried out Split again last night as it was the only place that had an open table outside prior to the outdoor concert. It was Happy Hour so all of Bridgeport was rather crowded but it was no big deal.
1 Star for service. Our waitress was fine but I felt did not check in frequently enough.
2 Stars for the OK food.
No nore stars for the pricing for the quality of food. They think they are some hipster wine bar but the food does not reflect. Their HH menu starts at $4, then $5, then $6.
I paid $4 for Calimary that literally tasted soggy and not nearly cooked enough. $4 for a Ceasar Salad that I could have made better myself. $5 for fish tacos that were sloppily put together, and another $4 for their "Garlic Fries." These fries had no seasoning and perhaps a small spoonful of chopped garlic on a couple of the fries. Odd. And might I mention not tasty. Overall the tab was $25 for a meal I was not even closely satisfied with. My date and I left and later had to get a "4th meal" just to compensate for not eating what we had ordered.
My suggestion. Come for a drink and sit outside if you can. Be weary of the food.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Megan B.
It kinda baffles me how this place stays in business.
For a place that considers itself a wine bar foremost, Split doesn't even have that great of a wine list. The wine selection is better down the sidewalk at McCormick and Schmicks.
The food here may sound fancy and delicious on the menu but certainly doesn't merit the price they charge for it.
Next I'll address the service, which couldn't really be called service since for most of the time no one was really serving us. I had to hunt the waiter down on two separate occasions, first to inquire as to why it was taking 10 minutes to get a glass of water when the bar was practically empty, and secondly to get a new glass of wine since the one he brought me had cork in it. Upon asking for a new glass without cork in it, the waiter hesitated for a minute before taking the glass back and made me explain to him, "Ok, see this thing floating in my wine? Ok, so that's cork. Now would it be possible for you to bring me a fresh glass of wine without anything floating in it? Great, thanks."
For a waiter who spent half of his time at the table next to us chatting up the botox-faced cougars for tip money while complaining how much he couldn't wait to get off work, I'm really surprised he didn't notice when our wine glasses were empty or when we were clearly finished and waiting for the bill.
I think when you're charging customers a certain amount for their food and drinks, your service/quality/presentation should match the amount you're charging. But when you're service is poor, your food is mediocre and you bring out my flight of wine with the outside of the glasses dripping with your sloppy pour, which in turn makes my table a soggy red wine mess, I just can't endorse a place like that. -

This was a surprisingly nice space in Bridgeport; I usually avoid the retail monstrosity because of the Botox-injected and snobbier patrons that flock the various establishments here (but I will go here when I've got a coupon for Crate and Barrel or the occasional coaxing from friends to pay the exorbitant Regal ticket prices, but I digress)...
First off, waiter had some good wine recommendations but seemed to disappear. I will not take off points for this simply because he knew my companion and I were on a date (I wish the date had turned out better, but this is http://yelp.com and not http://yipe.com).
The table next to us was very close; I love people but there is absolutely no way you can have a private conversation here. The noise level was very high, too; I'm guessing due to the high ceilings (?).
Overall, I can't say this place is bad or great...it's not a place I'd intentionally drive to but might go to if I were heading to Crate and Barrel for an accessory-driven jaunt. -

3. Food is nasty and overpriced.

Tualatin, OR
I am biased about Split. I work in a restaurant in Bridgeport village and have spent many a break at here. I came several times a month to grab a few drinks and some lunch, but have not come in awhile. The interior is actually quite lovely, except for the fact that super sounds of the 70's are always playing. The food is truly good, with 20 dollar entree's that deserve their price tag and bargain priced lunch specials and happy hour food. Wine and beer prices are reasonable, but liquor prices get stratospheric; many liquors cost literally twice as much as they do at the restaurant I work at, which has very average liquor prices. I honestly stopped coming here because the bartenders at M&S Grill hook me up every time and the bartenders at Split seldom do. I tipped 30% each visit, often brought co-workers with me, ordered food and drink and would often end up having to ask for the happy hour prices I should have received to start with.
The last straw was a time when I came in with my fiancé on my day off. We arrived shortly before some noisy middle-age gross chicks having their repulsive girls night out. The owner got up from his vodka and soda to serve them himself, even though he wasn't working. Everyone else in the restaurant was dragged into a rousing game of "dirty password" with the hookers and the owner. While I wasn't offended, I was rubbed the wrong way. I was also rubbed the wrong way when their bottle of wine was comped for no reason and I got to pay full price. I guess I should have grown some saggy tits.
One bartender, Steve, was an exception to all the problems I have had here. For some unfathomable reason, he quit. As much as I like the food and the atmosphere, I feel I was shit on as a customer. -

Portland, OR
I really enjoy this place and was kinda surprised to see all the low reviews. For the suburban area, the bartenders have to be among some of the best (not a slam against these guys more a slam against Tigard). The drinks are cheap enough while still tasting like they're supposed to. The selection of liquor and wine is thorough and the atmosphere is very laid back. I appreciated the cleanliness, the drinks, the prices and a quiet place to watch the game (and the fish tacos and cheeseburger sliders are YUM!). But probably the biggest reason why I gave this place four stars is the personalized service I've received each time I've sat at the bar. The bartenders have been very friendly and customer focused.
The only cons I have are that it is small and fills up quickly with little bar space. Once seating at the bar is gone, forget trying to see the tv's. Also, I have noticed that sitting at the bar seems to get quicker service than sitting at the tables. -

West Linn, OR
We went to Split after a theater production in the area. We noticed the patio was packed, and since they were open late, my husband and I decided to give it a try.
The two stars are mainly for our waitress, who tried, despite every attempt on the owner & kitchen, to thwart her.
Nothing about this place explains how it has lasted this long.
Their happy hour menu is ridiculously enforced. If I sit outside, or at the bar, I can get happy hour. But if I sit on the chair 3 feet from the bar, I need to pay full price. This would make sense if the restaurant was huge and separate from the bar, but the inside of this place is tiny and the bar sits in the center, taking up 75% of the restaurant space.
The decor inside is your typical cold & uninviting yuppie bar with a ton of light wood paneling. While Split gets nostalgia points for the lcd advertising screens in the bathrooms (I missed 2001!), they lose points for the shared bathroom... nothing like walking in to a giant pee puddle on the floor & the lid up!
The menu looks amazing. Wine pairings, interesting dishes, snazzy comfort foods....too bad whoever is cooking the food doesn't know how to execute it.
This is where I stop and say: There is never a reason in the entire world where you should have to cut fondue with a fork to be able to serve it on a cheap sliced baguette. Even the worst of chain restaurants knows how to make a creamy _baked_ fondue that doesn't turn into a giant lump of tasteless cheese, surrounded by oil, in less than a second after being served. Imagine cooking a microwave pizza and skimming off the cheese and placing it in a ceramic boat. If this sounds good to you, by all means go eat here.
We got out of these as fast as we could, after being denied the other half of our menu selections because someone hadn't planned for a Friday night. We ended up hitting a drive through because we were starving....
If we've ever faced with a similar after-theater dinner requirement, we will skip Split and try somewhere else. -

Portland, OR
I wonder if this place is still open by the time I write this. The only reason this place has any business is because it's built-in from mall traffic and people wander in. No one will ever wander back, I can guarantee. Non-existent service with an owner-bartender who is texting on his phone before he gets you a drink. Every table dirty and not cleared off. Zero hospitality experience here and clear example of someone who has tried to take over a place with zero skills. Won't go back. It had the vibe of sinking ship. Tons of other spots to go to there - Macaroni Grill & McCormicks always solid.

just ok.... I would not have lingered here so long (3hrs) if it weren't for the awesome company I was with! We came in on a Sun eve, not many peeps in the place, but was still fun!
I'll admit, I didn't have the wine...gasp...I know at a wine bar and I ordered Mojitos instead! They were great excpet for when he served me my 2nd one, he says "savor it, we're all outta mint now" wtf,. really? I'm a paying customer- he should have had one of his staff run across the street to Whole Foods for more mint!! -

Wilsonville, OR
It pains me to give 3 stars because it would be so nice to give 5. They used to serve their sliders on these nice soft pub buns and switched it over to a hard baquette that cuts the mouth when you take your first bite. The drinks have always been excellent and the waitress is constantly making up for the owner. Yes, we had the owner as our waiter and then suddenly he dissapeared and never came back after we ordered our drinks. Never came back to take our order or let the waitress even know he was leaving.... Strange, to say the least.... Such a let down because it's so close to the theatre!

Talked my west side classmates into going to somewhere OTHER than TGIF's after class to celebrate the end of school and for once, I "won".
What a crapass victory. My classmate who recommended it was, thankfully, not so much embarrassed as apologetic, and said that he though it was under new management and has gone downhill since.
My primary complaints:
1) An insect in one of our drinks. "No extra charge for the bug!" says our server/bartender, who took 15 minutes to get to our first round. No comp, or apology by the way, just a replacement drink and "Here you go." Nice.
2) The ghetto look of the tent plastered James Bond movie promotions. Ticky ticky tacky.
3) The environment. Cheap silk flower arrangements, loud football, crying baby and burned oil smell waifing out of kitchen.
4) Giving 9 people one menu to share...and no beverage prices.
Let's just laser in on #4 there. You know what?
To every restaurant and bar marketing guru out there who believes that "if you have to ask, you shouldn't be going out to restaurants and bars"...you guys can suck it.
I will so joyfully make a conscious decision to spend a shameful amount of money on your product, but please respect that I would appreciate making a choice of how much I want to spend and on what. It's humiliating to be put in a position to ask. Name one other commodity that involves customer presentation, consumption and THEN price delivery.

Split... and appropriate name as I cannot decide whether its a place I love to hate or hate to love.
Ambiance is great. The bartender makes a mean dirty bird yet I can't shake the feeling that something just isn't right. The wine list is extremely limited for a place that claims the title 'wine bar' and the prices for a glass seem way too high for even for a wino like me (I simply can't feel good about sipping down a $20+ glass of pinot). Then there is the food.... good, but lacks inspiration and for the price, the helpings are extremely small. What keeps me coming back (other than the aforementioned dirty bird) is its close proximity to my place of occupation and the friendly (and often hilarious) wait staff.
So truly, I am split.... to love or to hate??.... guess I'll have to figure that out next happy hour I'm there. -
Review from Angie Q.
Ironically, I didn't get a chance to check yelp reviews/ratings before trying this place out for the first time.. which is why it sucked.
The interior was nice and posh, but we dined outside to enjoy the wonderful weather. Note to self: don't dine outdoors with a dress/skirt on unless I enjoy having diamond-shaped imprints on my thighs!
Looking at the menu online, I was immediately intrigued by the gorgonzola fries. That ultimately was the reason why I ate here, but I ended up ordering the calamari due to my sister's request. Ah! Silly mistake. The calamari was mediocre at best. It was crunchy by not as crunchy as I like. It was just a tad bit soggy. The dip wasn't all that special either.
I ordered the angel hair pasta with asparagus and salmon. The same dish served at WA Square's Nordstrom is better! The sauce was a bit bland not to mention milky (in appearance) and watery, not enough cheese. Some of the asparagus was too hard to chew.
My sister was decently happy with the old-fashioned strawberry shortcake though.
I wish I tried out Sinju (next door) or Blue Tangerine (across the street) instead!
That's what I get for not checking yelp! Lesson learned. -

So, we went in on Sunday expecting to have some of their fabulous "hand made" onion rings only to learn that there was a new manager and, with that, everything previous had been "thrown out." The menu is all different and at first we weren't sure, a little disappointed in fact. BUT, after biting into the yummy calimari (they have almond seeds and teriyaki glaze on them) and the cheese/fruit/nut plate, it was clear that, at least as far as the food goes, the place is doing just fine. They seemed to have more dinner options, a revised yet still fabulous happy hour menu; otherwise, everything else is pretty much the same.
The guy who waited on us (and was the owner) was a little defensive when we asked him about the onion rings - he claims they were NOT hand-made! (shock, gasp!!), but that slight awkwardness aside, it was pleasant. He just needs to work on his customer relations a tad and all will be fine.
Will be interesting to see how the place does under the new ownership.Listed in: Favorite bars/restaurants

I flew out to Oregon to visit a few friends, some of whom were turning 21...we were going to go see Alice in Wonderland but were thwarted by massive crowds and a lack of forethought. Soooo we decided to Happy Hour instead. After trying to get into two places and leaving after being told the wait would be upwards of 45 minutes, we walked by Split, dine and drink....e x a c t l y what we were wanting to find.
Except for the part where it was not worth the $. I got the fish tacos, which were alright....heard from several that the gorg. fries needed ketchup to be edible, and that the fried zucchini and mushroom could've been a lot better. On top of that our waiter was just....annoying. He didn't do anything wrong....he was just thouroughly annoying. I shouldn't judge them based on his awkward behavior, but he was SO odd it made me feel uncomfortable!!
We also had to go in and ask for extra menus after having sat down for a few minutes, trying to share one menu between 7 people and not one waiter coming out to see us!
Didn't go inside, but it was nice to sit outside and people watch...... -

Worst customer service and food. The two wait staff are the only saving grace. Bread was stale, apples were old, cheese was left out in the air too long. Had to ask 4 differerent times just to get a glass of water, and i sat at the bar!!
Never go here. Waste of money even if its a gift card.
We had an issue with a gift card, the owner refused to resolve the situation and stormed off like a 5 year old child. -

Was not impressed. Stopped by at about 4pm on mother's day and we were the only group there. The service seemed a bit half hearted. The simple pasta and burgers we ordered took about 45 minutes to arrive. The pasta was uninspiring. The fries with the burgers weren't too bad.

Stopped by before a movie for a quick beer and appetizer outside on the patio. Happy hour bottled beer for $2 was the best thing about this place. $4 for about 9 pieces of calamari at happy hour prices was a rip off.
There was only one guy working so we had to go inside to order. He was friendly but as others have said, there are better places to go. -

Hi, The food and wine here has always been decent here. I have come here at least 10 times over the past 4 years. READ THIS! My girlfriend bought a card for my for my birthday ($50) and the owner would not reimburse us. She paid and when we went to use it it said there was nothing on it! we got a hold of her bank and she did indeed pay $50 to the place and the would not help us out. Very rude.

Spilt is the place at Bridgeport
What could be better than a fine glass of wine and some gelato after a long day of shopping? A champagne cocktail for starters.
The experience at Bridgeport Village just keeps getting better. I thought that the McCormick and Schmidt's happy hour after a movie was a great find until I came across Spilt Dine and Drink. The vibe here seems upscale when you walk in with its hip woodwork dcor and happening bar, but then you sit for a bit and it feels as cozy as a familiar living room. The difference, though, is the great cocktails and small plates that you can get at a fine restaurant.
We were celebrating that night, so I decided to order their champagne cocktail. It was so tasty and was difficult not to order several! They offer a diverse list of wines by the glass but hold out until 9 p.m. for $4 cocktails.
The small plates are yummy here with the chicken skewers and chicken salad topping my list. Purposely order light, so you can indulge and have some chocolate gelato for dessert.
Tip: Add the pound cake to your gelato. -

Split gets some bad reviews, most of which I don't agree with. For their size they have a good wine list, some quality liquor flights and recently hired the sous chef at the Urban Farmer in downtown Portland. If it's been awhile since your last visit, give it another try.

Bleh. Down in Tigard to catch a movie & we decided to hop in here for a quick bite to eat.
ATMOSPHERE: Trendy wine bar style. U-Shaped bar & table/booth mix along the walls.
FOOD: Standard fare. Ordered Gorgonzola Fries (Shari's fries w/ a mediocre sauce on it), Cheese Plate (the waiter didn't even know what cheese he was giving us), & some Hummus. (with old grapes & stale bread) Decent wine list & Drink Menu. GF ordered a drink of their SPECIALS & they were out of stuff to make it. Ordered another one, they were out of that too. Alrighty, how about....no, don't have stuff to make that anymore either.
SERVICE: Shite. We were sat at the bar & never received any sort of drink or food menu. We had to ask twice until we finally got one. (after we had scoured the bar & nearby table to see if we could even snag any wayward menus)
CURVE: Eh, I wouldn't go there again. Overpriced food & Overpriced Drinks. But the only place really in Bridgeport that's NOT a chain. On a brighter note, at least the movie we saw was good. :) F this place though...grrr. -

After 20 minutes at Split, I wanted to.
Thankfully, a good friend's birthday dinner/girls' night out was not ruined given the fact that our waiter inadvertently provided us with more-than-sufficient lag time. I arrived at 7:00PM and I was finally approached for my drink order 20 minutes later. The food was awful at best. One of our pregnant friends found mold on the "fresh" raspberries adorning her green salad, and the pale red tomatoes from the caprese stared sadly at me from the plate. We debated over whether the gazpacho was a bona fide soup or a puree of pico de gallo from the restaurant across the street and it was decided to be the latter of the two. We left the restaurant around 9:00PM -- not by choice but due to service. Sadly, the shops had closed for the day and our hopes of getting some retail therapy were lost. Thankfully, gelato saved the day and our pregnant friend was able to grab takeout at the noodle restaurant nearby.
If not but for the good company, two hours of my life would have been lost in vain to bad service and pico de gallo. If you care to pay for people watching, it's a nice place to sit outdoors and drink wine. If you're interested in eating and/or if you're in a hurry, look further. -

Uh... yeah, I'm not sure what to say about this place. We stopped by here with friends before a movie to grab some appetizers and drinks. The food was okay (Joe H. is spot on with the Gorgonzola Fries being Shari's fries with some sauce on them... they were okay, not bad, but not stellar), and the drinks were okay. But that was it... I mean, everything about that place just ended up being "okay". It has a fairly nice setting, seemingly trendy, has all the DNA, but for some reason it just ended up being very blah. Service was decent. We had the soup of the day, which was okay. I had a mojito (which tasted like it was made with Sprite/7-up), which was just okay. See the trend here... it's all 'okay'.
So, if you need a place to stop and grab a light appetizer and maybe a drink or two before a movie or after shopping, this place is an okay stop. Albeit it's a little pricey for what you get... $6 for a shallow bowl of okay soup, $10 for an okay Chinese chicken salad (which didn't seem very 'Chinese', but more like a little dinner salad).
It all left us leaving and just shrugging say, "Ah... it was okay". I've said that about a place, but Split didn't shining moments nor any big detractions. It was about as neutral and middle of the road as it could get. -

Let me first say, I love to eat out, do it frequently, and rarely have anything bad to say about restaurants.
Now on to Split.
My husband and I took a chance on this place after getting a gift certificate. We called ahead to ensure it would be okay to use the certificate on Valentines Day and were told it was.
I've worked in the restaurant industry and know all about the Valentine's Day rush and know to expect a little bit less from a kitchen on such a crazy day. That said, this place was mehhhh at best.
The wine was great!
Our appetizer and entrees were not even good. Who wants to eat raw pasta? Nuff said.
To add insult to injury after we had eaten the server rejected our certificate. So, we paid the inflated price for nar nar food and have not returned since. -

This is a follow up to my last review. Something happened to this place in just a short month. Returned with some friends for happy hour and dinner and food was a disaster! We went on a Wednesday and ordered some happy hour food and it was TERRIBLE. Calamari was cold and dried out, thinking it was from the night before and barely nuked. The Ceviche' was bland and had brown avacado. The soup, cold and blah. So, another friend ordered a meal and said it was good to very good. And with that, another friend & I ordered a burger to share, thinking it would be better than happy hour food, WRONG!!! The burger was ordered medium and it was jet-black on one side, and brown on the other. Had a taste of charcol, and not pleasant. And it was also COLD, along with the fries.
Fortunately, service was friendly. With one exception, we did mention the burger was well overcooked and tasted of char and the server said, oh really and walked away. He was very nice about it, but there was no offer to re-make the food. If I had eaten lunch that day, I would have insisted on sending back, but I just wanted to get out of there. Anyway, I am very disappointed as my last visit was near perfect for Happy Hour, but this was a terrible failure. If I go back I will plan on having wine and ONLY wine. Big Bomb on Food. Ok for a wine bar, nice, friendly staff. Just don't go HUNGRY!!1 Previous Review: Show all »

This little place tries to be a dining establishment and I'll give them the credit for the effort, but I would probably recommend it more for a happy hour or cocktails affair. There was a decent selection of wines by the glass but for some reason, I expected more...? We had the Filet and the Ahi for dinner; both were decent, but nothing spectacular escpecially for the price ($28 / $22 I think). I actually thought that the Ahi was a little bit lacking in pizazz! I did like the Blueberry Creme Brulee for desert though. All in all, I would go back, but mainly for a glass of wine and hang out before a movie.

My wife and I went to Split for dinner on a Thursday night around 7PM. We were able to get a table with no problem. The wait staff was quick and efficient taking our order all at once and getting it completely correct. The food tasted good but was a bit cool when it came out. We had scallops and raviolli and a zucchini appetizer. The wine selection by the glass was OK. I hoped for a broader selection. The bar is very nice and the decor is modern and comfortable.

Great happy hour menu. Most dishes on the HH menu were great, but don't waste your money or calories on the calamari. Great service and very generous pours!
