According to ancestry.com I am 23% Greek, but unfortunately the only physical characteristic that proves this is my bushy unibrow that I have to pluck about twice a week. Because of this Greek heritage, I have grown up around some fantastic Greek cuisine from food festivals, home cooking, and some favorite Mediterranean restaurants. I won't lie, the first time I had Spitz a few years ago I was disappointed. I don't know if I caught them on a bad day or if they caught me on a bad day, because it has been fantastic every time since. Great Mediterranean flavors with a healthy dose of American fusion. Last week my wife and I stopped in the Lehi Spitz on our way up to ski at Brighton. We had to restrain ourselves from stopping for seconds at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Great service, fantastic food, and a youthful ambiance.
Pro-tip: Make sure you have a toothbrush or about 5 sticks of gum after consuming that amount of Feta and Banana Peppers.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 22, 2024Updated review
I think the Doner Salad is a better value than the wraps, but they're both good!
All the flavors and sauces worked well with this salad, and it was quite a sizable portion. We ordered up at the register and then found a seat and they brought our food out to us pretty quickly.
While eating inside, the music was almost too loud, but it was still an enjoyable experience.
Take some breath mints or gum with you, because there are onions and olives and peppers in the saladHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jan 28, 2024Previous reviewI am impressed. I've heard good things about Spitz and have been wanting to try more Mediterranean food. I would say it lived up to the hype!
I was pleasantly surprised by the look/feel inside the restaurant. I went at a rather unusual time and it was fairly empty, but that just means I got faster service haha
I got the street cart wrap with chicken, since the worker pointed out the popular items on the menu. It was very filling, and comes out to about $15 after taxes and without a tip.
The picture doesn't really do it justice, but all the flavors worked really well together and it came out in a timely manner.
I just think the price point may be a little steep, and they had a sign at the register saying they wanted customers to have exact change or use a card.
Overall, I do think I'll go back to try and make my way through their popular items. - Feb 13, 20241 check-in
This is an awesome to get lunch with coworkers -- the menu is expansive and the food is yummy. The ingredients are super fresh and the flavors are great. People who may have dietary restrictions can find food they can eat and still have a good meal.
It's easy to find seating as a group of people, and the decor is pretty groovy so it's a nice place to dine in at. During the warm months, it is also nice to sit outside. It is counter service so you order and then they give you a number flag to put on your table. When your food is ready, they will bring it to you.
The reason for 4 stars is that sometimes the staff does get your order a little wrong and also there is a bit of inconsistency with ratios of ingredients. These little issues have happened across multiple visits, either to me or my coworkers, where certain ingredients are almost nonexistent and other ingredients are overwhelming the entire dish and then it completely swaps the next time we go. Or, they give you the wrong dressing (but that is very minor).
I recommend the Doner Basket and Street Cart Wrap! Both are super delicious and are in a good-sized portion such that you won't leave hungry. Also, their sweet potato fries are must-try-- they are waffle cut and never disappoint.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 12, 2024
I loved Spitz!! The staff was so friendly, it was busy enough that you knew it was popular but it wasn't hard to find a table and the restaurant didn't amplify everyone's noise so it was quite pleasant. We got our food quickly and it was SO tasty. The chicken was clean (which is always a major plus to me) and the pita was super soft. We'll definitely be back!

This is some good and different Mediterranean food. I love the flavors and the quality. My favorite is the Donor wrap with chicken. I've also have had the fried pita strips and those are good too.
The prices are high! The last time I went, I just got the wrap and it was $14. To me, that seems very pricey. Also I feel like every time I'm there that the employees aren't happy and are annoyed with everyone.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 14, 2023
Came here based on a recommendation from my sister who lives in the area and glad that we stopped by.
I suggest looking up the menu before coming if you've never been here before. The menu is vast and there are so many good things to choose from. Plus this is an order then sit place so it just makes it easier.
The Doner Basket. My goodness, there are so many flavors mixed into one big bowl. All the goodies and nothing to complain about. It was all yummy and probably the best falafel I've ever had.
Spitz, you are awesome!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 19, 2023
Wow, 10/5 this was the best meal I've had in 2023 so far! The FLAVORS here are Alive! The chicken and quinoa Berliner bowl was so colorful, and i poured extra orange sauce all over it! Wow- I'll say it again for the people in the back- best meal of 2023, absolute fire!
Thanks for a great first experience Spitz staff!
Only recommendations, add some different soda options, and keep the bathroom stocked with soap and sanitizer. Great vibe overall.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michael W.North Salt Lake, UT02Apr 8, 2024
We are usual/frequent customers. We love this place typically, but this last visit was rough- food-wise.
I ordered a wrap and both my wife and I felt it was noticeably smaller than the previous wraps we've eaten there.
Then, my wife ordered the street cart fries and they were pretty cold and a few of them were burnt.
Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come as we love this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 27, 2023
Such a hopping spot at lunch time! Good luck parking in that busy lot, I ended up parking down by the bank and then walked over.
You order at the register and then they bring it to you. Such a pretty location and interior!
I tried the Doquitos and I was a bit underwhelmed by them. I think I would have enjoyed the loaded fries or the wraps more. I did try a Unicorn Baklava Nut Roll which was scrumptious but small. If they had a closer location to me I'd definitely make a return trip.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
