This place is Family Friendly!!! And not the fake family friendly either! They really are family friendly, offering olives and cheese for the little ones along with crayons and something to color.  Every time we go here, it's been a good experience - and with kids, it's tough.

So THANK YOU Spiros! For good service and a GREAT kid friendly atmosphere!

Yyyuuummmmmmy. I could really eat here everyday if I was home more.

Great food and in a great part of town.
Nice place to take a date or just chill and get a good pie.

Spiro's is some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life.  I live upstairs from another pizza place on Alki beach, and we drive down to California to go to this place.

Try the #10, Pepperoni & Canadian Bacon.  Simple, but delicious.

Good old Spiro's brings back memories for me growing up. I loved it when we got to go there to have a root beer and some pizza. Pizza is pretty good, big pizza and comes out to you right from the oven super hot.  Love the inside of the place as well. They added on, but its not that much different from the old one I'm use too.

I just found my new favorite pizza place!!! Ordered #23 (which is on the spicier side) and cheesy bread. Even if you have IBS it's worth it :) So delicious, they're very generous with the cheese and toppings! Large pizzas average around $20 but it was so filling since it's loaded with toppings. They have unique toppings like sundried tomatoes, sunflower seeds, and a variety of cheeses and I love pizza places like that. I can never go back to pizza hut or dominos.

On a beautiful sunny day my madre and I end up at Sprio's after an unsuccessful attempt to dine at Mission. Our patience was not in tact and we didn't feel like driving around and around in search of a parking spot.

From the outside Spiro's looks like a high end expensive place. Not so which is good for a frugal girl such as myself but mom was paying this time therefore money wasn't a problem!

I've never seen so many high school waiters and bussers in a restaurant in a very long time. To my surprise, they were all very courteous and attentive. So A+ for the good mature young employees.

There was more pizza than there was pasta on the menu. As a pizza fan I'm not complaining but I did find it unusual. I ordered the baked manicotti and my mom got the a special that was spaghetti and a chicken dish. Each pasta entree comes with a salad and garlic bread. The salad wasn't anything to rave about. It was your typical concoction of salad, a slice of tomato, a slice of cucumber, olives, and cheese.  My manicotti was awash in melted cheese. The cheese on the edge of the dish was crunchy and cooked so well it turned brown. Just how I like it. The marinara sauce had a tinge of sweetness to it. Different but I liked it. My mom said she enjoyed her dish. The garlic bread was good. It was toasted just right and not too greasy.

After we finished up my mom suggested we try the biscotti dessert. I wasn't sure what to expect. Our waitress came back with a pie/cake like treat. The biscotti was just one layer of the pie/cake. There were two other layers that were creamy. The entire pie/cake tasted like maraschino cherries. Yummy!

I had a pleasant experience at Sprio's and I thoroughly enjoyed my pasta and the dessert. I hope to make a second visit soon.

Their pizza is different from what you will find an most other pizzerias and is consistently very good! Dining is family-friendly with attentive service. Great daily specials such as chicken parmesan. Micros on-tap and wine rounds out a good neighborhood eatery. Parking can be limited even with the spots behind the building.

I can't 4 star Spiro's because members of the group I joined had to wait to order drinks, and one never received his at all.

Hit up the 'after show' hang out with Betsy and her the rest of the cast form her show tonight.

We ordered the 6, 10, 11 and Betsy, Bert and I shared a bottle of wine.
I don't recall the 'official' names of the pizza's, but it was a veggie thing, a meat thing and a meat w/ pineapple thing.

Other than the missed drinks, the servers handled the group of 16 pretty well. Water was regularly offered and filled, ample plates and silver ware, and we were checked on regularly thoughout the evening.

The pizza was fantastic. I have no pre-determined snobbery when it comes to pizza, so I enjoy it for what it is. The crust was on the thin side, crisp, flavorful sauce, excellent topping combos, and the toppings/cheese didn't slide all the hell off the pizza as you tried to eat.

The wine was nice. They were out of the original bottle we tried to order (for two weeks) but I'm glad they had this 2nd choice.
Members of the group ordered the house chianti though, and were not impressed.

Personally, when it comes to a pizza place my only consideration is...how's the pie?  Spiro's does not fail to deliver in this all important category.

I went with a large group and, since we called ahead, we were seated without any hassle. The service was nothing that stood out in any way, good or bad except at the end of the meal trying to divy up the check was a bit of a pain in the ass. It would have been nice if they had made the process of paying them a wee bit more friendly.

The pizza's we ordered were delicious. Well layered toppings, a mildly sweet, but rich sauce, and just the right level of crust thickness made for a very enjoyable meal.

The wine and beer selection was a bit sparse, and even then our first choice for wine was one they had been out of for two weeks.  We got luckier on the second choice, but you certainly don't feel like you have many options when picking a drink to go along with your meal.

But really, a pizza place is all about it's pizza and Spiro's gets a four star for the pie they toss. If it was closer, I could easily become a regular.

We decided to hit up Spiro's for the first time on a recent Friday evening.  The restaurant was hopping as would be expected on a Friday but we got right in and were seated where we requested.

We ordered the House special pizza and a couple of house salads.  The salads were simple but great - lots of mozzarella and black olives, plus a tomato wedge and a cucumber slice.  We asked for blue cheese dressing but my girlfriend swears it was ranch.  I think it was somewhere in between.  But it was good.

The pizza was great.  Lots of toppings, not-too-thick/not-too-thin crust, and lots of cheese.  The pizza came out piping hot which was nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The service was nothing special but then again our order was pretty straight-forward.  We stuck with water which was refilled a couple of times by some young staff-members.  Our female server had a very loud voice that came off a bit brusque at times.

We'll return sometime soon.  It was pretty tasty.

Let's just say, Spiro's is working on more stars....sort of like cub scouts and badges.

I've enjoyed:
The stuffed calzone with pepperoni and sausage.
Spaghetti with marinara and green salad. (vinaigrette dressing)
Tortellini with white sauce and green salad. (ranch dressing)

I've had a better calzone from Pizza Hut.  The bread was bland and thick.  The sauce was slightly spicy but I like the stuffing to be the main part of the calzone, not the breaded pocket.  I will not order that again.

The Spaghetti with marinara was good, more or less mediocre.  I liked the salad but found it to be standard.  Good crunchy chunks of lettuce and olives sprinkled heavily atop made me smile.

White sauce Tortellini is the only thing that stands out in my mind.  It did taste a bit salty but it was creamy and good.  Definitely not good for me but good for the taste buds.

The dressings on each salad were nothing special, probably bought wholesale at Costco or something.

Like everyone else, I felt more like it was Greek than Italian.  Eh.  Good waiter, male, cute, damn witty and crazy brows!  He sort of made it a better experience.  The atmosphere is clean and neat.  Definitely a kid friendly and family oriented environment.

I'll give their pizza a try but the menu is pretty limited.  I'm also going to try the Lasagna, Ravioli, and a few of their sandwiches....although I'm prepared to be disappointed by the bread on those subs!

Service: Great! Everyone is friendly! Dion will talk sports or current events if he has the time.

Food: They will pretty much make anything you ask them to make with the ingredients they have. The toppings are fresh, the lettuce crisp. Best Iced Tea I have had, always cold, big cup, and enough sweetener to keep me in there for hours. Not a fan of the meatballs, but they will do. Sausage is great! The meat sauce is hearty. The pizzas are not like Pagliacci's or NY style pizza. A thicker crust and meaty toppings, and real cheese! More of a pie.

Recommended!

The best pizza in Seattle hands down. Do yourself a favor and order up the house special. Add pineapple if you really want a treat.

I've been to Spiro's a handful of times, and each time, it satisfies.  It's not New York style pizza, but it's not trying to be, and that's just fine.  It's a little indulgent, and I know that maybe I'll regret it just a bit later, but that's okay, too.  A few of their slices, a Mac-n-Jack to ease it down, and I'm good to go, with plenty of leftovers.

I'd say that the style of their pizza is similar to that of Pegasus, but personally--and I know there are those who will consider this sacrilege--I've enjoyed Spiro's pizza and service more than Pegasus'.

As a bonus, they're open later than many other restaurants in the area.  I once went here on my way back from being disappointed that another local favorite was already closed.  We saw Spiro's still open, and stopped in and had a good meal.

Exceedingly friendly and delicious Greek-ish Italian food in West Seattle.  The staff are sweet and swift and the food is really great.

I've been to Spiro's several times and have been really pleased each time.  I've had pizza, calzones, and pasta - and have liked them all.

Each entree comes with a sizable salad and garlic bread.  The salad is mostly romaine lettuce and is topped with cheese, tomato, cucumber, and olives.  They have several dressing choices - I had blue cheese (although there was no visible evidence that blue cheese actually existed in the dressing).

The bread is more of a grinder roll that has butter, garlic, and spices and is toasted - very yummy!

Meals are served quickly and the staff offers water on a regular basis (very helpful!).  I can easily drink seven of the small glasses of water over a meal - so ample refilling is important to me!

Spiro's was our standard pizza place when we lived up north, so I was really happy to learn that there is also a Spiro's in West Seattle.

Their pizza is delicious (and really flavorful, even when ordered without cheese), and the staff is great.  Also, they've remodeled, making for a pretty nice atmosphere for dining.

Very homey feel, especially if your home has a lot of kids from soccer games, caustic young faux indie couples, and a few uptight seattlites. The staff is good- a little bit frenzied and you have to be firm and make i t clear you're not ready, when you are etc etc just normal  behavior. They certainly do not anticipate your whims and unless you get one of the owners waiting- you may get some obnoxious youth giving you the wrong salad.

That being said, they don't over extend like so many Little operations looking to get discovered, Spiro's does good work and no matter if you get the wrong salad- you'll want t come back. It isn't a strictly Greek temple to Feta and all things Mediterranean or an Italian joint, it is what it says it is " Pizza & Pasta" I did enjoy their Tiramasu quite a lot and the are very friendly to kids . Try Spiro's!

Wonderful Greek style pizza - golden brown crust, with a nice crust of cheese on top. In my top 10 pizza places for sure!

The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired for me - I prefer something a little grittier, or even trendier - the inside of Spiro's is kinda boring, which does take a little something from my pizza experience. Still, it's damn good pizza!

Noisy.  Noisy. Noisy.  Greek style pizza and pasta, which is hit and miss.
Mean waitress lady who gets pissed at you if you take to long to decide or are waiting for people.

That said, when the food is on, it is delicious and my husband love their pizza above all others.

I won't eat in there anymore, but I will do take out, which is fast.

My review is for one thing, the only thing I order from here and I always get it to go.

The anti-pasta salad.  Simple, fresh ingredients, plenty of cheese, good dressing.  Easily the best anti-pasta salad in West Seattle.

Decent pasta, rather good buffalo wings, kinda odd-crusted pizza. There's a parking lot in the back for your auto mobile.

I just got take out from this place and it was some of the worst Italian food I have ever had.  I really hope this was just a bag night, but the raviolis were overcooked and made canned pasta seem good.  The overpriced greek salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with a small amount of real veggies and a mediocre dressing.  About the best thing I can say is that the salad fixing were at least fresh.

I hate to post a bad review of a local place, but this was pretty awful.  I'm glad to see others have had better experiences there.

We take out from Spiros pizza quite often.  My husband likes their Veggie special and I like their greek salad (although I've had better).  It's an easy stop on the way home.  We've eaten in there a number of times and had good service and a good time.

This place is ALL about family dining and probably my favorite part was coloring along with the kids because the crayons and placemat are delivered pronto and I love coloring. Those were the days. The pizza is kid friendly too and the pasta is good standard pasta. Don't go here if a whole bunch of uninhibited rugrats is not your thing.
