Spa Renaissance is one of the better Korean family spa in Rowland Heights area. It's more exclusive and private. It has less customers there which means quieter and cleaner. But they are also short of staff. If you go there without appointment, you might have to wait for 3 or 4 hours to get a masseur. However, it is so relaxed there. If I don't have anything schedule on that day, I will spend 3 or 4 hours in the spa pampering myself with full body scrub and oil massage + a facial mask...all for $75 + tips!

If you wanna go, make sure you make an appointment, so you don't have to wait for a long time. Unless you want to see your friends naked...go alone. I never invite any of my girlfriends with me to a family spa. It's just too weird seeing them without clothes on. LOL...

Came here for foot massage/reflexology with a friend. Choice C $20 *Foot, head, shoulder with 10 minutes back and spine massage.)

Pro: service I received was amazing the man was great.
    - leather recliner was very comfy and relaxing.
    - room was dimly lit.

Cons: my gf was fluent in Chinese and I think that was necessary coming here (My guy didn't understand me although I don't really care to talk)
    - there were some Asian men here having a very loud conversation. :/

It was a good experience and a great deal but can't imagine coming here on my own without someone who speaks Chinese.

I have only visited this particular establishment cause i don't want to drive 30 minutes to MP for my $15/hour massage.
so far have visited 5 times and this place is decent for the price charged.

I went to Diamond family spa and they charge admission = $25.00 for any service you want done..= RIDICULOUS!

so, IF Your looking for an inexpensive massage, THIS place is a good place for that hour stress reliever.

yesterday A woman named "NANCY" massaged me, she was pretty good!
free hot tea or h20 at the end!
and you don't get hounded for the amount of tip you give unlike MP if you know what i mean!
if you dont than try a massage parlor in monterey park and give them $3 tip. they will hound the ish out of u till u get in ur vehicle and drive!

I dont think i would ever want to come here for their actual spa entry, this place doesn't look too organized or clean...

NO happy endings here okay guys. LOL u gotta go to Frisco for that.

One star too many for the piss poor customer service provided by the owner or manager of the store. My family and I have been clienteles of this place for a few years. About half a year ago, my mother purchased a bunch of gift certificates/vouchers for this place. Before doing so, she inquired if there ever is a change in management, will the vouchers still be honored. She was informed that with the change of management, all previous vouchers are also transferred and therefore needs to be honored. With that peace of mind, she purchased a bunch of vouchers. Things got hectic in our family the last few months and we haven't had a chance to go de-stress at a spa. First week of January, we went to Spa Renaissance and were told that they no longer honored vouchers because of the change in management. The Korean owner or manager even rudely said to us "You can go ahead and sue us but we're not honoring these vouchers. These vouchers were honored until the end of the year last year and you should've came then." We told them we were unaware that there was an expiration date on these vouchers and on top of that, they never notified ALL of the clienteles of this change in management/voucher expiration. The Korean guy continues to be very rude to us and will not admit us nor honor any of our remaining 5 vouchers - taunting us to try and "sue" them but we will not be allowed to use these vouchers. I'm appalled at the lack of customer skills this owner/manager has displayed as well as his down right degrading and rude attitude towards us. I can only hope that others that have experienced this dishonest business practice will come forward and write their reviews so that everyone can be aware of this rude person's behavior towards his clients. As for the facility, it was nice when we were returning clients but since we were not allowed in with our previously purchased vouchers, I don't know if the change of management continued to upheld the spa's facility - they definitely did not upheld the customer service standard set forth by its predecessor.

    Omg, this place is sad.

I'm a regular Korean spa goer, I probably go at least twice a month and frequent many different ones. I first came here back when they had the $10 special general admission and had the $25 deal including foot massage! And at that time I didn't think it was that bad cause the admission was cheap but nothing memorable. Fast forward to yesterday, I was around the area and really needed sometime to relax so I called this spa and some rude lady said that the admission was now $25, which totally shocked the hell out of me because that's more than the big spas is Koreatown and this place is TINY---by far the SMALLEST I've ever been to!

I had to asked her twice to make sure I heard right because this place is totally NOT worth the money! If you like this place, it's probably because you've never been to other Korean Spa or live just down the street because I will never come back here again. The only reason why it's getting 2 stars is because the place the facility is clean but then again, aren't they all?

FYI: Other Korean Spa's admission fees only range from $10-$20.

Bottomline: If you're new to Korean Spas, you might actually enjoy this place but if you're not, go elsewhere cause this place will disappoint you!

I love this spa. I go there every other week. The spa is clean and well managed. It's small and gives me a cozy sense. The foot massage (in reality, it's head, shoulder and foot massage. If you pay 5$ more, you get the back massage too) releases the stress. The Salt room and Clay room help to get rid of toxins of the body. The Half bath improves my cold feet and hands circulation. The wet and dry sauna complete the purification of the body. 1 hour foot massage + spa for 25$, where can you get a such good deal? A periodic body scrub renders my skin like baby skin. I haven't tried the western massage yet. I'm very happy with just foot massage and spa.

I really like this place, but this is the only Korean spa I've been to. So I'm relatively new to the "Korean day spa" experience.

I've been twice, both times for a body scrub. I don't know why, because it's a little disturbing how much dead skin is exfoliated during the process, but I love it. The second time I went, there was a special for a combination massage/body scrub. The massage was intense and extremely thorough. The little Korean woman who was giving me said service even got on top of me and pummeled. Seriously strong woman, all that energy in a very tiny (also very scantily clothed, which is startling at first) package.

I had to get used to the idea of being... not clothed. Just walking around naked in front of a bunch of strangers, hanging out in the nude. I like going by myself for this reason. I could not imagine going in a group. To nonchalantly chat in the steaming jacuzzi just... naked? I couldn't do it.

Really I like going by myself! I hang out in the jacuzzi area, I've gone to the salt room. I've also spent some time in the sauna. It's so relaxing. Also, for the price, cheap! If you go in for one service (example: body scrub at $50, not including gratuity), you can stay for as long as you want! And they're open till midnight.

I'm going back in about a month... someone gave me a gift card!

    DIRTY SPA

As your JJB QUEEN, I'd have to say that this place was seriously "UGH".

    .:THE GOOD:.

The only thing GOOD about this place is how CLEAN and LUXURIOUS it looks inside.

Their rappokki (ramen noodles and dduk) is actually pretty good.

Their iced coffee is also pretty good.

    .:THE BAD:.

The people who work at Spa Renaissance are pretty stuck up.  Seriously, when I asked them about their $10 special, they straight up said "Oh, the Chinese newspaper messed up on that".  Seriously??  Why don't you admit your mistake and just HONOR it for 4 BRAND NEW guests?  Talk about learning how to give better customer service! When we asked for toothbrushes, she said (with a dirty attitude) "They're inside".  We were so appalled.

Another thing, this place is TINY.  There are only TWO rooms: the Himalayan sea salt room and the clay room. Yep, that's it! Nothing more, folks!

The Body Scrubbing ladies were SO rude until the two of us spoke up in Korean.  Then the tone of their voices changed. Too cool to treat other people like they're lower than themselves if they aren't Korean?  I may not look Korean, but I speak and understand it VERY WELL so watch what you say next time!

Food service is REALLY slow. We waited like 30 minutes for our food to come out.  Also, their food is pretty expensive compared to other JJBs I've been to.

    .:THE UGLY:.

EXPENSIVE!  $25 for admission? It doesn't include ANYTHING SPECIAL! IF this were Diamond Spa and it was $25, I'd understand and pay them happily.  $55 for ddeh miri ONLY and it only lasts for 30-40 minutes. Really?

DIRTY plastic buckets (for you to sit on) inside the seated shower area. ALL the (dead skin) DDEH were stuck on the buckets!! GROSS!!!! If you are there and you are reading this, GRAB 2 of their smaller towels and cover the nasty bucket and sit on the towels.  I've also noticed some RUST in the bathing area.

BROKEN STUFF in the bathing area!  Seriously, if you plan on sitting down and bathe on the right side of the room, AVOID 5 of them on the way RIGHT side.  They are ALL broken.  One shower head doesn't even hang on the latch, so you have to swing the hose and let it just sit over the wall.  Two other stalls don't have a knob where you change it from shower to regular faucet water because it broke off.

Advice:  If you REALLY want a great JJB experience, take it from your JJB queen and go to Diamond Spa (ONLY if you are in the Diamond Bar/Rowland Heights location).  Please see my list JJB List for other locations. :)

Good Korean spa facilities that are clean and well taken care of. The body scrub is great.

BUT! Do NOT get the foot massage. They just push and squeeze as hard as they can and it doesn't feel good at all. My body felt brutalized and numb afterwards.

Before my experience at Spa Renaissance I'd never gone to a spa before. Afterall, what kind of a pansy guy goes to a spa?? Just kidding. I've known plenty of people that have gone to spas and gotten the various services they offer there (Not THAT kind of spa...this is NOT a spa that gives happy endings...sorry). Stepping into the place, I had no idea what to expect. They give you a set of two keys, some clothes and then the men and women go their separate ways.

Once I went through the mens entrance, I saw a set of small lockers. These lockers are small for a reason. They're ONLY for your shoes. Don't try to stuff all your clothes and stuff in there, believe me. Once in the locker room, you change out of your clothes grab a towel and head into the shower and spa area. They provide all the amenities including shaving kits and toothbrushes. You have to shower before you go into the saunas and spas so take your time, shave and get refreshed. Spa Renaissance has cold, hot and really hot spas. Plus a dry and a steam sauna. If you're there alone, bring a book, it's a great way to relax and pass the time. When the time for your massage approaches, go out to the common area and they'll call your number.

Ok, on to the actual massage. I'd never gotten one before so I opted for the swedish massage, which is suppose to be less hardcore than the acupressure one. I'm glad I did. The massage was a weird blend of relaxing and "oh my god that hurts like hell". Be prepared to have all the kinks and knots in your muscles to get worked on...vigorously. Overall, it was a good experience. I was a little sore the next day but it was definitely an experience I would repeat.

Keep in mind, you can go to the spa just to use their facilities. You don't have to get a massage or any of the other services they provide. The use for the whole day will cost $25.00 and the massages will vary depending on time and type. This place is really clean. Nothing worse than a dirty spa. I definitely recommend this place.

This place was great!  My mom had never been to a spa before and didn't want to go by herself so after looking on Yelp, we decided to try out Spa Renaissance.

We made an appointment at noon for 2 accupressure massages.  When we arrived, we were greeted by a kind receptionist who had our things ready for us.  She gave us our keys for the lockers and showed us around, since it was our first time there.

The place is so clean!  I believe it is Korean owned so of course no shoes (and no bathing suits allowed).  There is a small locker just for your shoes before you enter the spa area.  Then you get another locker to put your clothes in.  You can change into the pink t-shirt and white shorts they provide so you can walk around, sit in the salt room, clay room, lounge room or walk to your appointment.  But the area with the spas, you are pretty much walking around nude.

We showered off first.  They provide soap, shampoo and conditioner.  Then we dressed in the outfits provided and sat in the waiting room for our massages.  It was very comfortable with several magazines and a large flat screen TV with Korean TV on.  The our masseuses came to get us and brought us back to our room.  I asked if we could be in the same room and we were.  They were separated by a curtain.

Now if you are used to massages, the masseuses usually leave the room, ask you to get under the towel, come back in and go to work.  Well, modesty is not a word here. They just ask you to take your shirt off right in front of them, then they go to work.  It was all sooo worth it!  The massage was great and soooo relaxing.

After our massage, we decided to use the jacuzzis.  You have to shower first before you get in one of the 3 jacuzzis.  One is really hot, one is regular and one is cold.  They have shower stalls and small shower stations.  Again, very relaxing after a great massage.

I would definitely recommend this place if you are not embarrassed walking around in the buff.  I thought the prices were reasonable as well. I would definitely go back :)

This is another one of those occasions that I wish I could give a 3 1/2 stars.

I'm used to "American Spas" - Essential Therapy type of places, but my friend assured me this place was awesome and that I HAVE to experience the full "Korean" style of therapy.  So, I went along.  First of all, if you're uncomfortable about being around nude women, don't go.

    Here is the routine:
    1.  Pay, receive your key, towel and lounge wear, put your shoes in 1st locker room.
    2.  Go to locker area, put your clothes and personal items in locker, get naked and put on your robe.
    3.  Go to hot tub area, get naked (or in my case - yes, I wore a swimsuit, I didn't care if they laughed at me), shower, then get in the whirlpool.
    4.  Shower again, put on your robe, go locker room, put on your lounge wear and go to massage room.
    5.  Get naked and lay on table and they massage you for 1 hour.  MAKE SURE you tell them, SOFT, MEDIUM, HARD.  They are known to work your muscles to death.  So, you might have to hand gesture, but they'll get the picture if/when you start yelling from pain.
    6.  Put your lounge wear on, drink the tasty lemon drink they give you, take the "gratuity envelope" and go to salt room and/or clay room - LOOOOVE THE SALT ROOM.
    7.  Eat if you want - they have a small food bar area, but we didn't eat.  We relaxed a few minutes in the TV/Food area - the floor was heated, pretty neat.
    8.  Go back to your locker room, get dressed and give key and gratuity at front desk.  Feel like a new woman.

They really were good.  The place was clean, I suggest wear sandals everywhere especially the shower.  The reason for 3.5 - the nudity thing....even though my friend warned me, I really didn't want to view all the nude bodies of over 50 year old women.  I mean, that was not good for me....lol  wow.  I tried not to look, but I mean it was there!

I've never been to a korean spa before, the only time I've been to an actual spa was when I went to the glen ivy one in corona. THAT's nice. My friend and I opted for the body scrub since it seems to be the thing to get from all the reviews.

The spa is small and the shower place is very similar the one I went to in Japan, but I have to say, the Japanese is much better at keeping things clean (at least from the naked eye). The "korean" spa, I later realized, was not really korean since most of the workers there speak mandarin. The lady was fully speaking to me in mandarin during my body scrub.

The scrub itself... I felt so violated and clean afterwards, but if you're REALLY shy about being naked in front of complete stranger. What I really didn't like was that I felt like I walked into a seafood market in that there were just tables in an area next to the spa that's walled off to get my scrub. Absolutely no privacy from other people. There were no curtains to block you from the customer next to you, or rather, around you. Other than that it seemed ok, but it is kinda small. Even the salt and clay rooms were small.

I got a body scrub for the first time ever here... I didn't know THAT was a body scrub. I was uncomfortable having to get completely naked (I thought they'd just scrub my legs and arms) and, honestly, the ladies weren't comforting about it. Everyone's naked and it's all in the open, so deal with it. When I was getting scrubbed down, it felt like 10 layers of skins was being scrubbed off. But, boy, did I feel shiny and new afterwards. I don't think I felt that clean since I came out of the womb. Come to think of it, I need to get another scrub soon.

I do go here regularly for facials, manicures and pedicures. My facialist, So Ha, is very nice. Sometimes I do have a hard time understanding her English, but we manage to communicate and really she's working on my face most of the time. But I really like it here because it's so relaxing and nice.

After poring over the internet looking for a nice spa to take my mom to for Mother's Day (and affordable for a college student)... I found this place!   Our Mother's Day visit was my first visit and I after reading about the nakedness and that the body scrub was one of the treatments to order when you visited; naturally, I bought my mom a pass to get naked and scrubbed down!  Muahahah!  On top of that, she had a European facial.  On the flip side, my sister and I had acne facials and enjoyed the rest of the spa.

I've had 4 facials at this place and I definitely wouldn't recommend them.  My mom and sister stopped getting facials after they experienced their first visit, but I wanted to like that part of the spa so bad.  They were on the mediocre side, there was no distinction between the acne and european facials, which left me pretty disappointed.  Additionally, the estheticians left me by myself in the room everytime I was there to talk to other people outside!

The basic amenities the spa provides are: 3 types of jacuzzis (hot, warm, and cold), a steam sauna, a dry sauna, several bathing stalls, basic bathing and grooming amenities (lotions, hair dryers, shampoo, etc.), a hot clay room, a hot salt room, and a heated marble-floored lounge area.  All this for $15!

My mom loved the body scrub which cost $55 and I'd have to agree; there's something perversely fascinating when they scrub gray, damp, paper-like bits of dried skin off of me.  The downside to this treat is that you have to be butt-naked for it.

Unfortunately for me, I had an accupressure massage scheduled after my scrub so I was massaged naked with only a tiny towel around my nether regions.  It would have been fine if I was in the room, but I was in the area where everyone enjoyed the jacuzzis and stuff.  The only thing covering me and prying eyes were clear plastic curtains.  The massages are INTENSE, so you'll be getting your money's worth, and they last for a good hour.

Everything is clean, the staff are friendly, and it's definitely worth every penny (except for the facials).  It's also a great way to spend time with friends and family.  Highly recommended!

It was my first time getting a body scrub, and I LOVED IT. It cost $55 for the full body scrub. You can use the Red Clay Sauna, Salt Room Sauna, Jacuzzis, and Showers. This place is absolutely spotless.

Don't expect attentive service. They didn't even tell me what I had to do. I had to ask them, but that's okay with me.

This place is filled with Korean women, due to the fact, it's a Korean Spa. Lols. The women giving the body scrubs are dressed in black see through bra and undies.

Overall, my skin felt baby smooth. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all being fully naked. LOLs. You just have to comfortable with yourself, and the fact everyone else is naked.

OHH .. about the body scrub. They scrub your body with some kind of exfoliate, and I do mean SCRUBBB. They get into every single crack of your body. You face downward, upward, and on both sides. Then, they wash your face and hair. Finally, they end with a leg and back massage.

I, also, think its best that you go with friends. It makes the experience alot better. Just make sure, you are comfortable being naked around your friends. LOLS.

I went on behalf of a referral from a dear friend with almost perfect skin.  She drives all the way from Glendale to come  here.  My facial lady no longer owns her own salon, so she can't do my facials on the days that are convenient for me.  So, I figure perhaps its time to go looking for something else that is more accomodating to my schedule.

The place IS fairly new, couple of years.  I was only assisted to wait in the facial area so I didn't tour the whole facility.

I received a microdermabrasion today for $75.  Took So-Ha about an hour.  She explained everything to me and gave good suggestions for maintenance.

I have yet to do a follow up and see how my skin is in a few weeks:)  But so far, customer service and environment aesthetics are deserving of the 5 star...

What an awesome spa!!! Extremely clean with a good variety of different things to try. After you change out of your clothing, you get into the showering area and wash off before entering the sauna area. You have a choice of warm, hot, and cold saunas.

I would suggest visiting the warm one first and then getting into the hot one. Get into the hot one until you can't stand a single minute more and jump into the cold one---it feels so refreshing. After that, go into the dry room to warm up. After feeling like baked bread, go back into the cool water to cool off. After you're ready again, head into the steaming room to feel like a steamed bun. When completed, come out, cool down again with cold water and shower again.

Next, get changed into their clothes and head to the Himalayan rock salt room. After you're done, visit their Red Clay room. By now,  you should feel like a baked potato. Go into their TV lounge room and relax for a good 30 mins.

It is quite a relaxing experience, and a wonderful outing with your friends or significant other.

My husband and I wanted to get a massage and he recommended this place. Its a Korean Spa. The price is a little bit more than others. They offered facial, mani & pedi, body scrub, salt room, mud room, sauna, spas, a wide variety of services, but you have to get butt naked. Men in one end of the building and women in the other corridor. We were in a room laying side by side while getting a massage and OMG it felt so good. I usually don't like massages because some masseuse have such hard hands and I come out more pain then relax. Also, I don't like being touch on my middle back, sides, and feet because I am so ticklish. My lady was pretty gentle. She nearly put me to sleep and the only reason why she didn't was because I have so many tickle nerve endings so I was giggling and waking myself up. I think my husband got some shut eyes. We left very relaxed and clean. The place is very clean and the staff were very professional.

I wish they would of have music in the room because I was actually listening to this man snoring so loudly and it was a distraction.

I've still been coming here every single week consistently over the past 3 years.  Have I ever been disappointed with the massages here???????  Rarely but when it happens the experience I get from coming here washes all the disappointments away.

A recent exodus of masseuse here as left me disappointed as I have to try out new ones.  I had Susan last night and she was amazing!!!!  Coco is my backup.  I had two of my other favorites leave last week and so I left and went to Diamond Family Spa (I have been saying to go there for the past year or two at least to try it out)  BIG MISTAKE

I do not recommend their new foot massages here opting for the full body.  Although their foot massage room is the nicest one I've ever been in.  Plush with these huge couches that makes you feel at the ESPNZONE VIP lounging area.  It's 15 for the one hour and you can add 10 more for the spa access....it's a bargain.  They're still trying to put it all together for this foot massage area but I won't be coming here for that.

Great value, extremely clean, friendly spa service. Loved my scrub + message session. Great website by the way!

Had such a blast with my friend there, we're already planning on our next visit. The whole spa has such a relaxed and casual vibe to it, none of the up tight, snobbishness at spas.

Only thing it needs to improve would be adding some sort of scented aroma to the steam room. It wasn't very pleasant with the hint of sweaty smell in there.

Came here to check out the facilities on a Friday and I proceeded to booking an appointment for Saturday. I've been to a couple of Korean spas before, but this place is quite big in size and still fairly new. I think they've only been open for 2 1/2 years.

They have a Red Clay room and a Himalayan Salt Room. I'm not quite sure if  the rooms did anything for my skin besides make me break out in a pool of sweat. Their regular steam room was a bit small to me, and they didn't have those nice smelling herbal leaves in the steam room for me to breathe in, which most other places have.

I didn't feel like being scrubbed and slapped around by those lingerie wearing korean ladies, so I opted to getting a facial instead. My esthetician was named SoHa and I think her skills are below average. I think her massage techniques needs a whole lot of work, and I just really  hate it when they leave a mask on you and leave you alone getting all antsy that you are not getting your moneys worth with them leaving you alone. At least massage my hands or something while the mask is being left on or something. The products that she used didnt have a nice smell at all, sort of reminded me of detergent.

Anyways, I'll probably just stick to using only the facilities next time, since there is only one esthetician there. The middle lobby where people can just rest up can be a bit noisy though, because there were kids playing around so that may be a minus for those who want more peace and quiet.

Where do I begin? For those who have never experienced a Korean spa scrub session, I recommend it for the sake of your skin and to experience the very intimate exfoliating experience.

    What to expect:

Check-in at the front counter and tell the clerk if you want to book a scrub session w/ your spa visit or skip out on the scrub altogether. Once you pay, you will be given a robe, keys to a locker, a bath towel and a hand towel. Proceed to get totally naked. You are only allowed to use the small hand towel once you're inside the spa. There are 2 hot tubs and a cold water tub as well as a steam room and hot sauna. They advise you to lounge in the tubs and/or steam rooms to soften the skin while you wait for your locker number to be called in Korean by a Korean lady in black, lace bra and panties!
You will be led to your massage table where you will experience a intrusive and slightly uncomfortable yet fully satisfying scrub/massage for the next hour to hour 1/2.. It is like the satisfaction one gets from getting a somewhat painful yet pleasurable massage. At first it is painful as you are scrubbed with a course towel repeatedly all over your body but you soon get used to it and actually enjoy the tingling sensation. It makes you feel soo clean and leaves your skin really soft. The massages they give are not the best as I usually feel a little sore from the brute force they sometimes apply but overall you feel so relaxed and smooth afterwards. Makes you want nothing more than to go home and crawl into your soft sheets.

i came here after reading the reviews,
yes it is very clean and no weird smell or anything, i book myself the infamous body scrub and boy it is cool to see all that scum/dead skins fall off of you and yes afterward it feels sooo soft.
for those of you who are afraid of being naked, my advise is to go on early weekday like when they first open at 930am, since maybe there was total of  3 other guests besides the workers in the entire morning i was there and they tell me in the afternoon people start coming  in
i walk around barefoot and the floor was very clean so yes i wound come back here again
btw the food was good too

I am thinking that a lot of people who gave this place a high rating either haven't been to a lot of different spas or they have lower standards or they really just got lucky on the time that they've been there.  I have been to many many different spas/ massage places internationally, from low-priced ones to 5-star hotel ones over the past 10 years.  I gave this place 3 chances because it's close to where I live and I can't help but to write a review for this place.
To summarize in short, I don't think they are very passionate about their business and you can see/ feel it in many different aspects:
-the receptionists are not that friendly, I don't feel welcomed
-the place is generally clean, however a lot of the showers are broken/ needs repairing/ have bad pressure.
-stingy on towels/ supplies (but I will give them that one for the fair price they charge)
-the space in the scrubbing area is too tight and it's just not appealing for customers to feel relaxed.
-the Chinese people who give massages here are not professionally trained. Now, I'm basing this off of the 3 different people that I've tried and I can't say for all of them.  when I told them that I was hurting, they just tell me, "it's ok, it hurts now but you will feel much better afterwards", but of course, it didn't feel better and it hurt for days afterwards.  They would also brag about how they are the authentic ones on massages and they know exactly where the pressure points are... etc. trust me, they don't. Sorry, I did not pay to come chat with you!
For the same price, please go find another place where they are certified, professional massage therapists.
-lack of privacy, I understand that that's how Korean spas are, but I felt very uncomfortable being a girl, having to get naked lying on a massage bed next to a man who's also naked, only separated by a curtain...

I did not spend all this time writing a long review just to bad-mouth this place, I sincerely want to inform those of you who are thinking about going to this place, to think twice and then decide that you deserve better for the money and time that you're investing into your high hopes of a great experience

Okay so I have to admit I have not gotten a pedicure since last October So I was let's say due!  Any who I found this place on Yelp and said hey let's check it out.  This place is a very clean place I called ahead for the pedicure but she said no problem come right in.  I walked in and there was Helen a very nice women who is of little words.  It was a very relaxing pedicure I mean non rushed, no overselling (she did ask if I wanted a manicure, but that was all) and no showing you every little thing that comes out of those nooks and crannies.  So anyway I'll be going back I mean you get what you pay for ($25) for pedicure.  Can't wait to try other services here!

This place is really awesome for what you pay!!!  I got the 10 spa entrances for only $150!!!  It's a great 15 dollar getaway on a Saturday morning when you're bored and have nothing to do... It's probably not as nice as some other spas I've been to, but it is still very clean nonetheless.

I was a regular for 3 years until my wife's bad experience there. I don't know if they treat Asian females without respect or that Christine girl that works(ed) up front was having a bad day. My wife goes in while I waited outside in the car to make an appointment. She witnessed Christine screaming at a trainee like a dog and treating two elderly Chinese couple with a bitc*y attitude. Then it was my wife's turn at the front desk and instead of serving my wife, she just took off to the lounge chair asking the old white guy if everything was fine. When my wife criticized her to not treat fellow coworker like a dog and treat customers regardless of white Chinese or Koreans with respect, she rolled her eyes. Then, the owner comes out to apologize to my wife while Christine continuously argued with my wife. The owner told her to be quiet but she didn't. She's probably is his niece or relative, but unacceptable attitude. I went in to see what the heck was taking so long and of course the owner recognized me as a regular. He apologized to me profusly but too late. I am not going back no manner how much I love my regular masseuse and the clay rooms.  Spa experience is to relax and not argue with the front desk. I do enough arguing as an attorney on a daily basis and would rather not have to argue getting a massage.

actually i've never been to any other local spas but i heard this is the best one (at least the cleanest so they say) around, and indeed it is really nice to my satisfication...

you could basically spend a good whole day there if you get nothing to do... that's pretty much what i did... shower, steam room, jacuzzi, an hour massage, salt room, red clay room, then an hour break for lunch (yes, they have cafe style restaurant inside with pretty reasonable korean food served), then go back again, salt room, red clay room, shower, jacuzzi, sauna... there is also a big round area in the center with heated floor... you could even lay down there and read magazine, tv... tired and feel like u need a rest? they have quiet room inside the change room also for you to take a nap...

we got the 10 times massages package so we could get 10% off... ah... feels nice to treat yourself nice once in a while!

omg....this place is awesome and extremely clean.  people are extremely nice.  i went with m boyfriend and a couple of friends of mine.  my friend was able to break in the "spa/massage" scare out of my boyfriend so i give extra stars for this place.

you don't need an appointment, but you should if you want a good person.  coco is a great person, and she's very caring.  her english is minimal, but she always makes sure if the pressure she is giving is comfortable for her client. :)

Where do i even begin. I went here to get an eyebrow wax because my normal place was closed. I thought "its probably going to be more expensive but it will also turn out better because they are a spa." I walked in and asked where I can get an eyebrow wax. They pointed to the nail part of the spa - thats right - pointed, no words no anything just in the midst of standing around they pointed to the nail salon. I walked in and asked for an eyebrow wax. The lady inside went outside and asked the same lady that i initially asked who should do my eyebrow wax. That lady then asked this other person who was sitting on the side to do my eyebrow wax. SHE CLEARLY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DO AN EYEBROW WAX. She was acting like she did but every step she did was a surprise to me. I've gotten many, many eyebrow waxes before and never have I ever been in so much pain. I told her that the last time i got an eyebrow wax, the person burned/ripped my skin off. She did not know how to shape the eyebrow and asked me all these really unprofessional questions that only just made it more clear that she has never waxed anyone eyebrows. To top the whole painful process off because she didnt know how to wax eyebrows, she applied this mint, alcohol - I don't even know what - gel to half my face which after doing the waxing wrong just aggravated my skin even more and stung so much I started tearing up. I walk out angry because i spent 4 extra dollars than a normal eyebrow wax when they could have told me that no one was there to do it for me. This is the absolute worst part - even after telling her the last time i got my eyebrows waxed they burned/ripped my skin off - SHE BURNED/RIPPED MY SKIN OFF ON BOTH MY EYES. I now cannot rub my eyes because it hurts too much and i have these dark, puffy marks on both my eyes. Do not go here. They are unprofessional and clearly just want your money. Horrible experience and now I am in pain.

First of all . I'm a spa expert . I have been to many spa included spa like 5 star hotel and I usually go to glen ivy spa at brea . I thought oh give this spa a try . But it is a huge mistake . 1. I like privacy . Be prepare u will have no privacy at all in this spa . The china men lay next to my room keep making a really gross sound while he is getting his massage . 2 . The china women who give massage there are not well trained . I'm sure they are all non license worker with no professional skill . I feel like a piece of meat been play in a supermarket . 3. No music and waterfall sound during massage . U get those if u go to brea glen ivy . 4. They do not provide things like hair scrotchie if u need . Not many supplie to use to . 5 no heated bed . The bed was really hard and uncomfotable . At glen ivy the bed is heated and soft . For about a 35-45 dollar difference I would rather go to glen ivy and feel the true paradise this is my experiece to this spa today . I feel like I throw my money in the trash cane
