Ok, I'm a serious feminist who loves the occasional brazilian! =)
And all I can say is JULIANA JULIANA JULIANA!!! She's INCREDIBLE! No joke. If you're you're going to get a brazilian, she's the ONLY person you want to come to. I've gotten one from the other Spa Habitat in Dallas, and even though that one is 10 minutes away from where I live, I will drive 40 minutes to get to the one in Plano to see Juliana.
She's quick, she's gentle, she talks you through it.
I have this certain part where I have to stop talking and go into zen meditative breathing (it's ok to laugh at me bc of this)...and she's SO good about just giving me that time.
She also knows that now, I get REALLY cold and steadily colder as the brazilian goes on, so she gives me a warm neck wrap when I come in.
If you're going to put anything on your naughty bits, then make sure it's organic and toxin free!
But if you do get a brazilian...ONLY GO TO JULIANA!!
The spa itself is really relaxing, and quite cute. The bathroom is always spotless. The front desk lady is always SO nice. They give you water when you want it, warm neck wraps when you come in...
This place is DIVINE! Make it the ONLY place you go! You won't regret it! -

I have mixed emotions about spa habitat... Loved my herbal back therapy massage! The facial was ok. The customer device after they had my money was appalling.
I purchased a facial scrub and after using it a few times I kept breaking out. When I called to see what I should do about it, the receptionist told me that there was absolutely nothing that they could do and that I was basically out $58.
There is always something that can be done when you have an unhappy customer. I will not be returning. -

I wish more people knew about this place! It's such a diamond in the rough.
A fully organic day spa. No chemicals. The facials are with natural oils and yes...fruit extracts, oatmeals...etc. Amazing. My skin was like a baby bottom's after.
I ended up getting a spa package aptly named "The Treehugger", which consisted of a 'flower power facial', 'greenpeace therapeutic massage' and a 30 minute 'organic foot ritual'. Now now, don't be turned off by the cheesy names of these treatments. As I said earlier, my facial was absurd. The massage was outstanding! (and I'm PRETTY picky when it comes to massages, I need a 450 lb man to work the knots out!). But I have to say, the BEST part of this package was the foot ritual (which was named in 'D Beauty' mag). They take you into this room, wrap your neck in one of those hot wraps, sit you in a comfy chair and stick your feet in this copper foot tub, with watermelon oils, flower petals and aromatherapy....THEN they massage your feet with warm basalt stones. For oh, about 20 min...now tell me that's not fabulous???? The whole package is about 2 1/2 hrs.
I also learned they have spa packages for couples, where they serve lunch and have a full treatment day. When I asked the woman (who currently had her hands on my feet) "Do you see a lot of men come through here" she responded "more than you would think"...so, go surprise your honey....go on now...
They also have 'spa parties' from 4-20 people...fyi...fabulous.
Check it out, spread the word. This place is my newest addiction!Listed in: I feel pretty....Oh so…

My boss again was so kind to treat my co-workers and I to this lovely spa to celebrate the holidays.
Located in near downtown Plano in a charming old house that was updated into a warm cozy spa. Coming in, they led us to the lobby, gave each of us a warm scented neck pillow and a cup of water that I could taste the cucumber.
Then 4 masseuses came out for each and everyone one of us and led us to a room. 2 of us took turns for the hand and foot massages. For the foot massage, I soaked my feet in a huge copper kettle tub with warm water, then the masseuse doused my feet with rose petals, cucumbers, and this grainy substance they use to massage my feet, then they rubbed them with smooth stones.
For the hands, I lied down on a warm bed with an eye mask. They used the same substances that they used for my feet. However, I don't remember when my hand massage has ended because I fell asleep halfway through it.
Also, what's unique about it is that everything they use are all organic, no chemicals whatsoever. The staff are very customer-service oriented and attentive, they work very hard to make everyone's experience very enjoyable and relaxing.
When we left to check out, they gave each of us water to detox our body. We wanted to drink during our massage but they advised us that alcohol is bad for your body especially when you want to detox it and that water or tea is the way to go.
I would definitely come back for another great experience. Maybe this time I would like to try a full body massage. -

Spa Habitat is a great getaway for a facial and/or hot stone massage. They tend to be on the pricier side it is def worth it and they usually do specials. Billy has done the hot stones on me a few times, he is very thorough and gentle and I have almost fallen asleep because he is so good. I just wish this place was a lot closer to me now. It is nestled in the historic part of downtown Plano. Great for a spa party or just to get away and unwind.

This is the best spa I've every been to! I've gotten both the 60 minute Swedish massage(Maryann) and facials (don't remember exactly; by that point I was in drool/ecstasy mode), and both rock...especially if you get them both in one day! My fiance and I have come twice for birthdays and if we could, we would come every week.
The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing with soft music and yummy aromatherapy smells (which they also use during the treatments). If you want to impress someone, give them a gift certificate here, or do what I do and make an appointment for you and them to go. -

Oh how I love Spa Habitat! My mom and I ventured here for a massage during one of her visits up here and its one of her favorite places. Since then, I've been back a few times and have a great experience every time. The staff are extremely professional and polite. They also don't chatter away while you are getting a massage, which is really nice.
Spa Habitat is situated in an old house and has a very nice old charm feel. The floors are a little squeaky when people walk, but it adds to the charm. Massage rooms are located in various rooms throughout the house and you can get couples massages here. My husband and I tried the couples massage once and it was fun and relaxing. We would definitely recommend the couples massage to anyone that likes that sort of thing. -

This place is amazing. Juliana gives the most relaxing & heavenly facials. I won't go to anyone else. I was in constant, severe back pain for months & I had a facial with Juliana that brought tears to my eyes. It was the best I'd felt in months. This was about 2 years ago & it left a lasting imprint. I've been back many times since. A little pricey, but totally worth it.

I'm at St. Peter's pearly gates and St. Peter has just smiled at the person in front of me and grandly passed them on through the gates.
I step up and offer a half grin.
"Hiya doing Pete?"
"Hmmmm" he grumbles as he flicks through the pages of my life, several disturbing grunts come mangling out of his mouth. One eyebrow raises as he glances up at me, and doesn't say a word.
An old police interrogation technique. "Listen, I can explain a lot of this" as I pointed at the book.
"Really?"
"O.K. look at this" I said as I reach over and flick a bunch of pages back and finally finding the spot. My finger on a picture of myself emerging from Spa Habitat. "See that day proves it all" I proudly explain.
St. Peter doesn't appear to be having any of this and says "Really?".
I again point excitedly and say "See when I emerged from THE FACIAL"
St. Peter," you call it THE FACIAL?"
"Yes, I came out the building there", as I jabbed at the picture "I wanted to jump into the Captain Morgan pose while singing' Shine on you Crazy Diamond, Shine on'.
St. Peter " Danni you don't know the lyrics to that song, and besides what does that prove?"
"Yes that's true but I was going to aggressively hum it and it proves that in that one moment when I could have shown Pride, one of the seven deadly sins I might add, I showed humility."
St. Peter "Hmmmm" as he thinks things over "but you did Yelp about it and what about lack of praying?"
"I yelped because I wanted to share with the good people of the Metroplex and remember a couple of months after I moved to Texas" I said as I moved a couple of the pages back and pointed to another picture "Do you remember that Hail Mary?"
"Danni, you said that as you bit into your first Super Sonic Breakfast Burrito and realized it had jalapenos in it."
"Yes, but I was fresh from Boston and I wasn't used to jalapenos with my breakfast food back then, and I really meant that Hail Mary."
St. Peter "Well..." and gives me a dismissive nod.
As I sail through the gates I exclaim "Finally an Elite Yelp Event, Bonus!"
Yes, the facials are that great. Just go. Wonderful place, worth the money and just so relaxing. -

I went here (Plano location) for a de-stress on a Friday afternoon back in February. It's a bit of a drive for me but I'm always willing to drive to find a good deep tissue massage. I had this and the organic foot ritual. My therapist for both treatments is the only guy in the place. He was good and I would definitely ask for him again! The only downsides about this place really are: 1) the parking is pretty much on the street unless you get the 1 spot in front of the door, and 2) my therapist is the only person there that understands that elbows should NOT be used in deep tissue. I'm so glad that I asked about this when I booked, otherwise I would have been very disappointed. I like very deep massages and it takes someone very strong who understands pressure points and how to manipulate muscles without resorting to bone on bone (uch!) kind of therapy. So, ask for the guy if you feel the same way...I forget his name but he's good and professional. The rates were all reasonable too. Not sure I would do the foot ritual again but it was nice and a good way to finish off the massage. I really liked the little warmed neck wrap they give you too the moment you walk in to the place.
I'd go again. -

I have THE best job in the world. My boss just took the entire office staff (4 girls) out for a spa treatment. We all got the hand and foot ritual and OHEMGEE. Seriously, the staff was amazingly sweet and made you feel right at home. Everything they use is totally 100% organic and vegan. From the moment you walk into the door, you instantly feel warm and relaxed. I'm hooked. I am most definitely going back :D

I've had a variety of services done at Spa Habitat (Plano) and enjoyed everything about the place -- the quaint old house, the personable and sincere staff, the smell, everything. But then, I had a massage from a very intuitive therapist, and I'm hooked. I've even begun to book services a month in advance. Next month I get my first facial there, so I will be sure to update my review.

This place is wonderful. My husband took me here a couple weeks ago. Is was a surprise and on top of that my first time to a spa. The ladies that work there are great. They are nice and very polite. I love the feel of the place when you walk in. It has a very homey and welcoming feeling (and yes I know the spa is in a house, but not all homes are welcoming). They don't bother selling you products if you don't want to be bothered with that stuff. They respect your wishes. I will be back soon. I had a great time there.

I found Spa Habitat by chance and I am so glad I did! I go there for my waxing and love the fact that it is organic (something I hadn't even thought about when it came to wax). Juliana is the best!!
