Q:
Where do you park if the lot is full?
A:
At night time and on weekends we have permission to use the office building on the North side of the building. We also have a small lot in the back of the restaurant.

Fish is fresh and delicious. Prices are very moderate. The waitstaff are exceptional -- friendly and very helpful, especially Ta-Da behind one of the 2 bars and a blonde waitress who was amazingly kind when I needed help getting into my nearby condo. I forgot her name but I was told there were 4 women working there with same name; she is #1. Outdoor seating is a bonus. I'll be back. Thanks!

Our server Ashley was the best! She made our visit from North Dakota so enjoyable. Her big smile and happy personality really started our vacation off right! Thank you Ashley! Employee of the month!
Also the food was amazing we will definitely be starting all of our vacation in Fort Lauderdale at Southport Bar. We will recommend to all of our North Dakotans. Thank you for great food and service!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 3, 2023

Must go and do when in the area. This dive bar boasts incredible specials on drinks and food. Highly recommend the fish tacos, conch fritters, and stuffed clams. I could easily make a meal on the stuffed clams! Service is quick and worth the longer wait for the waterfront patio

At Southport Raw Bar & Restaurant, another of my old So Florida hangouts dining al fresco for lunch. Raw oysters to start. This is the Florida I reminisce about. Shoulda done a dozen. I was so eager to pop one down the hatch I didn't wait for a Pic, LOL
And this time, I'm getting a tee-shirt!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 2, 2024
Such an awesome spot, 1st time here & love it. Beyond friendly service, awesome seafood. I ordered raw oysters - SO fresh & grouper fingers - little salty & lacked flavor (reason for 1 star drop) but overall was good. Relaxed ambiance w/water-views.

5 stars across the board! HANDS DOWN best peel and eat shrimp I've ever had. I couldn't stop ordering and eating them! The blackened mahi tacos were also amazing. The stuffed clams the sweet bread. Wow. I'm drooling writing this review

Located off a side street in a small strip mall, this long time local establishment is what you'd expect to see on diners, drive ins, and dives. Inside is dark and old school bar like (even on the sunniest day) and outside is some picnic and plastic tables with a small water view. Outside they do have some fan misters which is important in south Florida summers. Parking in the strip mall is free but limited.
The mojito was a good solid mojito and the iced Irish coffee was maybe not the best choice outdoors. The grilled oysters were exactly like those in Nola but they're good if you're in the mood. The grouper finger special was tasty and light. I swapped the fries out for broccoli and got a very healthy portion.
Overall if I was looking for this vibe I'd return, but on its own nothing is super calling me back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
