I enjoy this outdoor mall. I think I like it best in the summertime when you see a ton of kids playing in all the water features.

Winter is good too though as they have a huge bon fire about the mid section of Main Street. And their is an Ice skating rink set up in front of the movie theater every winter.

There are a ton of stores including Barnes and Noble, probably my favorite. But, you also have Sports Authority, White and Black, Gap Kids, etc. And for food you have Bliss Cupcakes, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Bobalious, Ted's Montana Grill an Irish Restaurant, Japanese Hibachi, Noodles and Company, just to name a few on the Main drag. There are more shops and restaurants in the out lying parts of the Mall.

Off the Main Drag you have Fast Food like Del Taco. Semi Fast Food like Rumbi's and Dining like PF Chang's and Red Lobster.

My only complaint is Restaurant choices could be better. A Pho place would be good! A Mediterranean and a Sweet Tomatoes, option would be nice. Just a couple on my wish list.

You also have shopping like JC Penny, Walmart, Sam's Club, Michael's, Petco, Babies R Us, World Market and several others outside the main drag.

All in all this is a fun, clean and entertaining shopping experience.

Southlands is an awesome outdoor mall in eastern Southern Denver (Aurora to be exact). It's got just about every store you're looking for (Petco, Bed Bath & Beyond, Lowes, Best Buy, etc), a movie theater, and lots of restaurants.

In the summer they have a farmer's market on Saturday mornings and a concert series on Friday nights. In the winter, they set up an ice skating rink in front of the movie theater.

Southlands Mall is one of those outdoor malls. Anchors on the outside,
franchises inside. What makes this mall slightly different is the Main Street concept, where the restaurants dot the inner circle, with a flexible space as the vortex. Here you can find music in the Summer, an Ice Rink in the Winter.

Southlands contains the usual suspects; Movie Theatre, Ice Cream Parlor, various Franchise Restaurants, Corporate Clothing Stores, Corporate Book Store, Corporate Coffee Shops, and of course Wal-Mart and Sams Club.

Parking is convenient and free, and since it's outdoors, lacks that gets me out of the mall feeling.

Unfortunately turn over is huge here, and small Mom/Pops can't afford the rent, so you have lots of empty store fronts, and you have the same old, same old names here.

Too bad Southlands would rather an empty store vs a lower rent structure for Mom/Pop Store and Restaurants. Boy, what a Main Street you would then have-- One would think 100% occupancy combined with some diversity would really up the traffic, and benefit all.
That would be my ideal Mall -- your go to place for everything filled with your favorite neighborhood restaurants, bars, bakeries, a used book store along side the Gaps of this world
In the meantime, Southlands is the most convenient Mall for me, and is well used by my family

Southlands is a bit far from Centennial, but I'd promised my mom we would use the NY&Co. gift card she'd given me last Christmas. I never visit NY&Co. anymore since there isn't one at Park Meadows and the closest one is at Town Center mall in Aurora (where I don't shop).

Southlands is a neat place to shop. I liked being able to park near the store I wanted to visit. We only walked up the main drag and down to the Toyko Joe's, so I didn't see much else of the shopping mall. Honestly, as much as I like the outdoor layout, it seemed tenuous to drive around to the other larger stores. Guess I would rather walk, but not during the winter snow or summer heat, and not with so many cars driving around. I would not want to shop here during the holidays.

I liked the giant fireplace, though. That was neat.

Since moving out this way Southlands Shopping Center is my go to mall.  The mall has a nice community feel.  It is an outdoor mall that was built to look like a old time Main Street.  Special attention was given to the look of buildings, nice trees lining the streets and little accents (like fountains for kids to run through and a fire pit) that make the place seem warm and inviting.

Lots of restaurants and shops to keep you occupied and fill your every need!  However, the one drawback is that if you are looking for something unique or boutique like - look elsewhere.  Southlands is the heart of suburbia and it is littered with chains!  You know what you are getting, but it lacks variety.

Still, I love it.  They decorate for every season.  The Christmas season is the best, with their lights strung across the main street, Santa, the ice rink, the whole thing is out of a Rockwell painting!

Its a fun place to meet up and wander, give it try if you are in my neck of the woods :)

This is a cute little shopping center located a few minutes from our house in BFE Aurora. In the summers they have live music on the weekends and a Farmer's Market. In the Winter they have Santa, lights, and an ice rink. It's hard to beat that.

The usual suspects for stores and restaurants and a nice movie theater round everything out.

Pretty nice outdoor mall.  Has the usual stores (Barnes and Nobel, Banana Republic, American Eagle, GAP, Best Buy etc).  It's especially nice in the winter months with the decor, Christmas carolers, fire pit, ice skating rink etc.  Nevertheless, it's fairly nice year-round.

I like Southlands because it has a large variety of stores in one small place. If I don't want to run errands all over town I can go to Southlands and get everything I need in one place.

As far as shopping - the outdoor mall area is pretty standard (Victoria's Secret, American Eagle, White House Black Market, Gap, Banana Republic, etc.) The one place I do love to shop at is Francesca's Collections which has more unique items.

Around the area there is a World Market, Ulta, Michael's, TJ Maxx, Ross, Walmart, JCPenneys, and Bed Bath and Beyond (among numerous other stores!) There is also a movie theater which I have been wanting to check out.

There are also a lot of dining places at Southlands (although everything is a chain restaurant). Despite the lack of unique stores and eateries Southlands is a nice place to shop at. The times I have been there I have not had to fight a crowd. It is a great place to go if you've got several errands to run but want to stay in a smaller area.

While working in Denver I happened to go visit this mall for the food and shops.  Everything was perfect except for the crappy outdoor music.  The music sounds like someone's bad karaoke rendition of todays music.  My advice to the owners...please do us a favor and play music that people can really enjoy and not your greatest hits you made over the weekend on your do it yourself karaoke machine.

This is my favorite mall in Colorado.

I love the outside strip and how it links right up with the movie theatre. There's so much to eat and so much to do. It looks so pretty around christmas time, especially with the "pond" that you can ice skate on!

It's got all the stores you need and expect in a regular mall, plus some of the bigger retailers right across the street.

The thing I love most? None of those damn kiosks where the girls chase you down so you can try some of their hand lotion that costs $60 for eight ounces.

I now have a new favorite and skip Park Meadows completely!  I am never hard pressed to find a parking spot, the kids love the water fountain to run in and the ice rink at Xmas is a blast!

It also has my favorite movie theater and tons of restaurants!!

I can't for the life of me understand why developers decide it's a great idea to put an outside mall up in a place where it snows often... but that's beside my eventual point. There are a lot of stores here, the worse part of your experience will either be parking or navigating the streets with people walking out in front of you. The center as a whole is very nice, in the winter they make an outdoor ice skate rink and the lights are very pretty. In the summers there is live music. Despite the fact that the patron quality seems to be slipping, I'll stay a regular. The movie theater isn't bad either.

just another boring shopping center for suburbia. you'll find the usual stores--gap, talbots, victoria's secret, pac sun, bath and bodyworks, etc. the only thing that might make this mall different than all the other ones in a 50 mile radius is that it's outdoor. parking a bit crappy too. whoever decided to make this shopping center for the masses had such an opportunity to make it unique and special (i.e. pearl street mall in Boulder). you can find all the same stuff  20 minutes away at park meadows. like they say, same sh*t, different location.
