South Shore Music Circus

5 reviews for South Shore Music Circus
First things first: all kids who graduate from Cohasset High School get to walk the stage here at SSMC. Yes, I am one (was one?) of them. Anddd it was pretty darn cool - a lot more unique than the average walk across the high school football field, that's for sure.
Anyhow, it's a great place to see a show. The shows range from little kid-type plays (think small scale disney-esque shows) to acts/shows that are suited towards the older crowd. The tent also has plastic "sides/windows" that can rolled down in case of inclement weather. Not bad overall!
100% agreement with Eric. Awesomely small, intimate venue. The only real issue is you can't bring beer to your seat. This is a problemo.
Great place to see a show on the south shore. I saw the B-52's here a few summers ago and it was great! The rotating stage is pretty cool, and guarantees that everyone can get a decent view.
Great place to see a show. If a band you like is playing there its a chance to see them up close and personal no matter where you are sitting. The small stage in the center rotates so everyone gets a good view of the band. The sound is what you would expect from such a small venue. They seem to have regular acts show up every year like Kenny Rogers and Tony Bennett, but check their schedule some bands that play their may surprise you! I just saw Gov't Mule play there and it was one of the best shows I've seen them play. The Music Circus would get five stars if they let you bring your beer down to your seat.
Under the big top. Small outdoor intimate place to see live music in the summer. Groups are generally more pleasing to an older generation but nevertheless keep your eyes on their calendar to see who's coming.
