Nice facilities, an excellent picnic area, a rocky shoreline to explore, and a crashing surf that may give novice swimmers a run for their money. Lots of people, but there is plenty of parking and room for all. Like many seaside spots, the weather here can change at the drop of a hat, so check an hour-by-hour forecast before hitting the beach for the day. (A fog suddenly rolled in on the day that I visited, chilling our group from head to toe and making it difficult for us to see one another.) Not the most remarkable beach, but not the worst either.
