Tried this place based on the Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. This really is a nail spa versus some random nail place. I got a spa pedicure (the basic one for $30 includes all the extras most places try to up the price with) and a fill on my acrylics at the same time. I knew I would be going back when the nail tech actually moved from my right to my left to work on each hand rather than me having to lean over to one side for her to work on both hands. I also like my acrylics to look as much like natural nails as possible (ie shorter and soft corners) and this is the first place that really understood that and gave me exactly what I wanted.

Nail therapy of the BEST kind! These girls have my nails looking fresh all the time.
I am looking at my nails I just got done during lunch hours and I am very disappointed that I spent 90 dollars total (inc. tip) on my manicure, pedicure, and eyebrows. I don't usually spend that much to start with. NEVER
I really think it's just my manicurist who was lazy, tho.
i got a deluxe ped and med combo whatever you call it, for 65 dollars
and you know what? my toes look great and my feet feel great too
however, the girl who did my manicure, (the one who tried to sell the most expensive care. i am soooooooooo dumb I fell for it. never again!) the way she put on the bottom coat (it was more like a dab on my nails) I should've known what kind of result I was about to get. The way she put on the colors, oh gosh, it's not even. what kind of manicurist does that!? but the best part comes when you talk about top coat. she did not spread the top coat evenly. now I have top coat lines on my nails on top of the sloppy coloring job she did.
I would've given this place five stars if it wasn't for that manicure work. Dude, for a nail place, putting the colors on so it looks even, is the most basic skill all nail places should have. if you can't even do that right, then how do you call yourself a nail place!?
the pedicure was great. i love how they use the little machines to remove your callouses.
the lady who did my eyebrows did an excellent job as well. She was very fast and efficient and the wax did not hurt much. I would've liked it better if she wasn't trying to sell me facial.
In conclusion, great pedi, great eyebrows, and horrible nail job..

Some of my skin on my eyelids had fallen off with the wax
ouch!
I wonder what kind of wax they were using

I LOVE this place a lot. They have a high setting standard .. the basic ped spa is $30 .. that include 10 min. massage, callus remove, paraffin therapy .... I fill like a million already.
I mean, usually when you go to a regular nail salon .. they will try to sell you extra service .. only 3 dollar more ... five dollar more which kinda bug me a lot .. i just want what I want and this place include it all .. no additional fee .. except $3 for French ..
I walked off the door with brand new feet ... smooth, soft and beautiful .. best $30 spended

LOVE IT! I don't think it's pricey at all. This place is just as good as Nailtique in Irvine but a teensy bit more affordable!
Made a last minute appointment for my sister AFTER CLOSING HOURS. Cathy easily accommodated us and was very friendly and sociable with my sister. She wasn't overly chatty with the rest of her co-workers and didn't make us feel uncomfortable. This is usually a problem for other nail salons...so I really respect this place.
I like the clean atmosphere and the simple yet chic decor. The bathrooms were actually SPOTLESS (something that is usually overlooked). The chairs are comfortable. The choice of colors is decent (mainly shades of red, which is usual).
Lovelovelove the double dryers for hands and feet. It's very efficient when you're getting a pedi and a mani done!
Anyway, I highly recommend Cathy. Besides being extremely friendly and accommodating, she also has a great eye for detail and works hard to make sure you're happy with your nails. She is off on Mondays and normally doesn't do pedicures.
Another note, bring cash for tip since you can't add tip onto your credit card. It's not a restaurant after all. Hope this helped!

I've never been disappointed coming in here for my pedicures. The service is quick and friendly. They have a large selection of OPI nail colors. Everything is clean and hygienic... I walk in and immediately feel at peace. It's relaxing just sitting in that plush chair and soaking your toe-sies in their warm water.
I like to come after work as a way to kill time and beat my commute every once in awhile. It helps that it's on my way home. :)
I came here on a Sunday only b/c Bonjour Nails was closed. Its very clean, a few bucks more than Bonjour Nails, but overall pretty good. The lady got a little sloppy painting my toes, but I'm very anal about this sorta thing so my standards are high. Like other posts have stated, they do have a good selection of OPI colors and they have this cool little cart with all their nail colors that they wheel around to you, so you don't have to get up and choose a color. I like that!
South Coast Nail is a bit pricey but well worth it. I don't go here on a regular basis because it's too much to spend on a pedicure but I go here when I want to treat myself to a nice spa pedicure. And they have OPI nail polishes. I hate when I go to a nail salon and they don't have any OPI. Their color selection is also pretty good. They don't have a lot of browns (my favorites) but I guess the classier salons don't carry as many shades of brown. I get the package where I get a salt scrub and a paraffin wax. My feet always look so pretty when I'm done.
It's really a really nice atmosphere and really clean. The girls are all friendly.
Oh, and there's always some slutty receptionist with colored contacts and revealing designer clothing on.
