I am scared of needles so was very nervous and tense during my first treatment. Mary Sabo was incredibly patient and reassuring and, going on 2 years later, I am an acupuncture junkie. The treatments leave me feeling relaxed, healthy and both physically and emotionally balanced.
I started seeing Mary for fertility issues which she treated with a combination of acupuncture, herbs and dietary changes. I continued seeing her throughout my subsequent pregnancy and even during labor.
She is an amazing person, as well as a skilled and talented healer. I can't recommend her highly enough.
Brian has been great for my eczema. I have had eczema my entire life - since I was three. Big welts on the backs of my knees and in the creases on elbow joints. It looked like bruises. In 8 sessions it is COMPLETELY gone! My boyfriend didn't believe acupuncture would do anything until now. I go in for 'tune-ups' now and it's still gone. Thanks Brian!
I find Source Healing to be the best Acupuncture I have received over the last 4 years of getting acupuncture. I love working with my acupuncturist Mary Sabo. Mary is always calm and takes the time to listen to my various issues. Some of my more chronic complaints are in now control and I am improving every day. I am also off a medication that I have relied on for 5 years and am in no need for any longer!
Mary also specializes in Herbs and mixes me up a tailored mix of herbs for me when I go based on my symptoms that week. Source Healing is a very calm and relaxing place to heal and get back in balance.
I am a huge fan and can not say enough!
I love Source Healing. The office has a very serene, pleasing ambience from the second you arrive. There are a ton of magazines to read, but I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment.
I've had acupunture with Christie, the owner, and every time I leave I feel so relaxed and happy yet simultaneously energized. I've seen another practitioner there as well, and in either case you get very personalized treatment and they listen to what you say. I also like that they don't push herbs if you're not interested.
Definitely recommend Source Healing, especially in comparison to another acupuncturist I tried first (who made disparaging comments about my weight and was completely unprofessional).
the space is airy and light, bare wood floors, simple flower arrangements, an offering of tea in the waiting area. it inspires calm without being over done.
christie jordan, the founder of the group, and an acupuncturist, is warm, open, and inspires a feeling of good will that is reflected in the practitioners she has assembled. she has a well regarded reputation as a practitioner addressing multiple concerns, from general well being to fertility issues.
rick brown, who is only in this location on weds, and can be found other days in evanston at life force healing center, is not only an excellent chiropractor, but a font of information from nutrition and anatomy to the issues of mind/body interplay. if you think your physical problems are nothing more than an ache that can be cured by popping a vicodin, don't bother seeking help here. but if you sense that pain and stress may have deeper sources, get some plain talk going with this man while he works your knotted shoulders and tensed muscles. you will leave energized, de-stressed, and enlightened. he's one of a kind. and he takes insurance!
I love comming here to see my chiropractor. I just started treatments with Source Healing three weeks ago, and have been very impressed. I came because I have a three week long headache that would not go away, nomatter what I had tried. Dr. Peteet has been wonderful. She not only has been treating my pain, she looks at the whole body to find the source of the problem. I am still very happy. Love their office space, too.

From one "stress bunny" to another - the minute I walked through the entrance door, I knew there was something very special about this wellness practice. The atmosphere has a calm, welcoming vibe and every staff person is friendly and makes you feel at home. I have received treatments from Christie Jordan (acupuncture and herbal treatments) and also recently Mary Sabo (herbal treatment) for various ailments (hay fever/allergies, stress, joint pain, abdominal pain, etc.) - both are fantastic in being very thorough in their consultations and follow-up. If you're looking to empower yourself in achieving a healthier state of physical being, this is the place to go.
It seems after all these great reviews, mine will only serve to echo the general appreciation of Source Healing. I have been going there for about a year, and while I've never been treated by Christie herself, I have been seeing Mary Sabo for several months and I adore her! She really takes the time to get to know you, remembers your little details, etc. and really makes you feel you are being taken care of. I could not recomend them more highly. Giselle, the receptionist, is also great and super friendly, like anyone I've ever run into there.
