The Stax Records Museum.
Filled with interactive exhibits & memorabilia, its easy to spend an afternoon here. Where else can you see Isaac Hayes 70s styled Cadillac?
The music made & played & recorded in Memphis changed the world.
Seminal in Memphis' music development was Stax Records. Issac Hayes, Booker T & the M.G.s, the Memphis Horns, Rufus Thomas, Steve Cropper & Donald 'Duck Dunn, Willie 'Too Tall' Hall all recorded at Stax.
In the days before Dr.King's assassination, black & white musicians & producers worked together to create a unique sound rooted in the blues and country music of the Mississippi Delta.
