Never fear my Sorelli Sauce loving friends... Sorelli is returning!

Closed for Good?
Sorelli's has a note on the door from the Sherrif's office that they have been evicted. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? AHHHHHHHHH
We've been going to Sorelli since it opened. We've always asked for and received oil and vinaigrette with our house salad. One day, some worker we've never seen before tells us that we can't get oil and vinaigrette, that we have to get Italian. But we don't want high fructose corn syrup in our salad.
She insists that they don't and never have had oil and vinaigrette, even though that's what we got the day before and many other times. She implied that we were lying to her.
No more Sorelli for us because they're rude and can't fulfill a simple request.
Oil and vinaigrette. It's not the same as Italian dressing. Some of us don't want to become obese.
They re-opened, but it's not the same pizza! The crust is not as fresh and garlic flavored, and the sauces went from unique and awesome to bland and hum-drum. The portions are their saving grace, however, there pizza has taken a turn for the worse....it's not too late to go back to the old, unique style! Otherwise, it's like every decent pizza place out there and doesn't stand out. Great people and service.
The family went to our favorite pizza place in the world last night - the recently re-opened Sorelli's pizza. We were significantly disappointed. The pizza IS NOT the same. The sauce is completely different - somewhat watery, bland and little of it. It is NOTHING like the old sauce that was thick and both zesty and sweet. The old pizza sauce was worth the trip. Not this 'new' pizza that is now more expensive and less satisfying. Our family will not be returning. We can go down the street to Papa John's and use a coupon for the same type of pizza. This new Sorelli's isn't going to last if they don't go back to what was served before. On the good side, the place is much cleaner and brighter. We really liked that.
I have good news and bad news...Sorelli's is back and looks great with expanded menu, flat screens and same great staff, ceasar salad and pizza crust...the bad news is....They changed the sauce! It is just ok, boring basic pizza sauce nothing I would go out of my way for...If you are a fan of the old sauce like I am please go and write up a comment card to see if we could get the original sauce back as at least one of the options. They also raised the price of the family special significantly which was also a disappointment :(
Sorelli should write an article on how to get 5 star reviews on Yelp:
1) Gigantic slices of pizza for $4.50
2) Gigantic 32 oz beers for $4.00
3) Gigantic televisions to watch baseball on while enjoying a said beer and pizza
Aside from the list, it's a lowkey place to have a good time. Unless you get a gigantic myocardial infarction (that's a heart attack, for those of you who don't have Wikipedia). Then you'll have a gigantically shitty time. Gigantic is the word of the day apparently. I've just decided. Spread the word.
If you are looking for something unique in the pizza world in the Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood area, Sorelli's is for you.
This is some big pizza - super thick crust, full sized meatballs, cheese all over and no skimping on the toppings. Damn, it's good. I usually can inhale pizza, but I think I only ate two slices and I probably shouldn't have eaten the second. I was full for the rest of the day.
And if you get an appetizer, may I suggest the riblets? Excellent. Tender and covered in a delicious BBQ sauce (probably Sweet Baby Ray's, my new favorite BBQ sauce, which is strange since it's the Costco/Target/almost generic brand).
The only thing I will say is that I wasn't a huge fan of the combination of toppings on the pizza that we ordered. Meatballs, ricotta, mushrooms, onions and garlic. While that sounds good, they didn't quite work together. But I can tell that their more simple topping combos would work well. Next time, I'm getting a pepperoni and meatball and calling it good.
I stumbled upon this place when someone brought in pizza at school and I tried a slice. It was even delicious cold so I had to check it out. I've probably been there 5 times or more now and plan to keep it on my list when I am in the Mountlake terrace area.
I don't really have anything new to say that others haven't, other than agree that their pizzas are huge. There is TONS of cheese and super thick sliced meat. I always get the meat lover's heart attack, and one slice fills me up (I'm 6'6 255lbs so I'm not a small guy). They are a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. I think a large specialty pizza is in the $30-$40 range. The salads are good too and now I want to try the riblets. Anyways, awesome pizza place that you should try!
The high rate for this place is all about the value. They're not super-gourmet or fancy, but the food is really good, the prices are fair, and the portions are enormous. Days of leftovers for a reasonable price.
It's in a strip mall, not too fancy. Pretty much all the decorations are posters from beer distributors, except for the pictures of little league teams they sponsor. Kinda like a sports bar--which fits with the big screen tvs at each end of the room. You order at the counter, and the pop comes from a fountain. They also have a pop cooler with slightly harder-to-get bottles, including Green River. Yum. Also have beer on tap.
For $12, I got a pop, a caesar salad (the small), I needed help to finish, and a slice of pizza that left me feeling stuffed for hours and hours. My buddy got a chicken sandwich that looked like four sandwiches at least.
What's cool about this place is the neighborhood feel. Not just the little league sponsorships, but how tons of people there seemed to know each other. Plenty of people mentioned having been coming there for years and years. I'll be back a lot, especially given how close it is to my place.
Ok, so it's pizza, but it's not what a purist would call pizza. It's more like a deep dish, stuffed pizza pie! We decided to check out Sorelli's for dinner one night. We ordered "Art's Gumba Pie." Our pizza's description: Big Meatballs, Ricotta Cheese, Tomatoes, Onions, Mushrooms, and Baked Garlic. Maybe the other pizzas offered there are different, but my guess is that they are all large and in charge.
The pizza is a little pricey, but when you see how ginormous it is, it all makes sense. When we picked up the pizza, I couldn't believe how heavy it was. I wish I would have weighed it before digging in.
Now if you like to pick up your pizza and fold it over, New York Style, you won't find that at Sorrelli's. This is more of a knife and fork pizza. The crust is super thick, and a bit on the salty side. The actual pizza crust on the bottom though, is thin, so picking the pizza is really not an option. The garlic flavor was great, and the meatballs were whole!
I ate one piece of pizza and I was totally full. I would say that one 15" pizza will feed about 6 people, depending on how large their appetites are. Sorelli's is super yummy, but it is not what you want when craving conventional pizza. I think Sorrelli's should change their name to "Sorelli's Pizza Pies," as it would better depict the unique creation that's served there.
I completely agree with Alice. I love this place for every single thing they have except the pizza. I stopped getting the pizza quite a while ago. They do however have EXCELLENT hot wings, and riblets and really really good salads. All the portions are big, and if you get a 10 piece wings expect 3 or 4 extra. Same with the salads, a mini salad is PLENTY for 1 person. The real charm of this place to me is it's one of the only places where you can really watch a game on the television. So many bars have the jukebox playing or things like that. Sorelli always has the volume up on the TV and there is no jukebox. The beer deals are crazy good. Often there is a $2.50 for a 32oz beer special, and if not then it's only $3 for a 32oz.
I say if you want a place to watch a seahawks, mariners, nascar, NCAA game this is the place. Try the wings and have a beer or 4.
This is the place you want to just get a slice at because they give you 2 slices for one! The PIZZA IS GOOD! Thick sausage, huge pineapple, meatballs, etc. Great ingredients. The beer selection is good and so are the prices. This is in my top 3 best pizza joints around. Although a bit small inside, Sorrelli Pizza makes up for it in price, quantity of food, and quality! Side note: 32 oz. beer $4.00 (and were not talking bad beer either!), Great Caesar salad (you can add chicken, bacon, or both!), and CHICKEN WINGS ARE FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!
I've been here a few times now, usually once every few months, it's really good pizza. Good, tasty crust, yummy sauce, awesome toppings. Pretty moderately priced.. last night my husband and I got a small one topping for $10. A small (10") split in half was MORE than enough for the both of us. The pieces aren't necessarily large, they're just.. loaded.
My biggest problem with this pizza is the day after. I'm not one of those people that is affected much by grease or cheese or sugar or anything really. I can eat a little or a lot of something and have no adverse reaction. But every single time I've eaten Sorelli's pizza, the next day is a living hell. Cramps, insane bloating, and worst of all, the constant all-day-long trips to blow up the bathroom. It's serious. Nothing I've ever eaten has ever gave me this problem. Yech.
With that said, I'll be back for more... in a few months.
Great pizza at this whole in the wall. Crust must be some sort of beer batter, and it take great, and is nice and soft. Great prices as well. You can get a family meal that includes a large pizza, huge salad and 2 drinks for around $24, and it will feed at least 5 hungry people, and you will have extra salad to take home.
The beer selection is great and cheap. You can get a 32 oz mug for $3 domestic $4 micro-brew. Great deal! You can get a 16oz for the same price but why would you? I guess if you needed to drive home the 16 would need to do.
At any rate, great place to catch a game or hang out with a large group of friends after work.
Must try it, and don't be turned off by the surroundings. The people and pizza are great.
I'm a big fan of pizza, thick or thin crust I don't care as long as the crust is good and the toppings are fresh.
At Sorelli's they do both very well and their specialty is more of a medium thin-ish crust if you want it thinner just ask your server they'll be more than willing to make the crust thinner for you.
Starch-boy really likes the crust here, it's one of the few where he'll eat the entire piece of pizza including the outer crust edge, so to my thinking this stuff must be manna from heaven.
The servers are extremely friendly. Located in a very small strip mall, strangely this is the only business still open here in this mall in Mountlake Terrace, so that means there is PLENTY of parking!!
A few times I've been here it has been hopping with locals who all make you feel welcome, almost Cheers-esk in atmosphere. They have a few fine micro brews on tap, and seem to have a good selection of bottled beer.
A very nice atmosphere, plenty of parking and friendly staff along with some really great pizza combos ranks this place on the tops of my list for Ma and Pa restaurants.
They don't have delivery but it's well worth the trip to MT to check this place out, take it to go and enjoy some seriously fine zaaaahhhhh.....
I went here for the first time last week and boy am I hooked. I had their lunch special and it was big enough for two people. The place was your traditional mom and pop place and it was a little homey but it was great! The amount of food you get is a LOT! I cannot wait to go back there!
HUGE pizzas and the large seriously must weigh over 10lbs! Love the sauce...kind of a sweet zippy sauce. Great thick crust. One piece does you in :)
Gigantic slices, big mugs of beer. I thought I was in Seattle at Zeke's or something so I ordered 2 slices and 2 beers. I was stuffed and drunk.
Sorelli Pizza is awesome. It's got a weird ambience; in a broken-down strip mall, with picnic tables for seats. But dang, the Pizza is so good. Even if you are a pig, avoid ordering a large of anything because, I kid you not, the large pizza is like 7 pounds.
My favorite is the "Queen Elizabeth"... it's this spinach and feta thing that is just incredible.
They do have a couple of big screens showing sports, and I know that they are big for Gonzaga basketball during the season. I usually just get takeout...
I haven't been to Sorellis in 5 years or so, but I remember they used to mess with my head when we ordered pizzas with "extra meat". There would be so much meat on my pizza that it was borderline inedible. Very tasty and they don't skimp on the toppings.
Huge Beers for cheap, not very good pizza. I am a big pizza lover myself, and I really just have a thing against their sauce that they use. It has kind of a sweet taste to it. These pizzas are humongous though. About 24" in diameter. Yes very large. I ordereda salad and I did actually really enjoy it. It's a great place to watch a home team game at. Plazma TV's posted against the walls. You really are sure to have a good time here with a group of friends!
Everthing offered here is Big, Huge and Large! From the "Slices" you can order anytime that are equivalent to 3 slices anywhere else to the "Small", 2 person house salads. They even offer 32oz Big E Beer and have Big Screen TV"s to watch the game on! Bring a friend or two, the more the merrier and order a pie. The crust is to die for, this is not your usual thin foldable crust, instead you can't wait to sink your teeth in the crisp, yet moist inside edges which in most cases are left sadly along the side of your plate to be sacrificed to the dough gods later. Not the case here, the crust is my first bite! The sauce is my favorite and truly the reason Sorrelli's is set apart in my mind from other pizzerias. It is slightly sweet with a roasted garlic finish and a little bit of spice. They use good Mozzarella that melts perfectly over the piles of amazing toppings. The only drawback is that because of the denseness of this pizza, it doesn't reheat well, so order what you can eat there, keeping in mind the huge portions, as it is disappointing the next day.
