This is one of my favorite places to shop for my little Maltese. She absolutely loved the b-day cake I got for her and of course some extra home made treats weren't too bad either.
I did have Ilithyia and my mothers dog's teeth cleaned over the past summer and they did and amazing job. I especially loved that they had a coupon that helped me save money, and they didn't use any anesthesia, which is amazing. She didn't have any real bad teeth, just some light yellow spots so a full dental at the vet wouldn't have been necessary but this is perfect for yearly upkeep.
I try to get here at least every other month to get a few extra treats for my Maltese to spoil her with and tell everyone I can about it!!! -

I love Sophie's!!
Every time I've come in they have been so nice. I can't remember the girl's name that works there, but she is so sweet. She always remembers my dog and gives him plenty of samples.
I love small businesses like this and I think they have an adorable store. I haven't purchased any of the toys or accessories, but Chowder LOVES their treats!!
I can't wait to try out their puppy yoga class! -

Loved this place!
I was finally able to take my furry friend here as a way to make good after taking him to get vaccinations. I got directions from my vet, who also gave me a 20% off coupon. The store was really cute~ with specialty items for sale and tons of pictures of four-legged visitors on the wall. They had around 10 different things in their baked goods display. Not a ton, but enough to meet different doggie cravings. There were sweet and savory items- from turkey patties to desserts. All the treats are dog friendly and human tested. For around $8 with the coupon, I was able to get one of everything- minus the turkey patty and hard biscuits- which my puppy doesn't usually like. His favorite was the pizza. The girl working was super friendly, gave Connor lots of samples, and gave us a frequent buyer card. You buy a dozen items and get one free, which isn't hard to do. I filled out 6 spots in one visit. Check it out~ -

Great little place. My dad went there to purchase a harness for our mini long haired dachshund and had to show it to my grandma who also has a dachshund. She wanted one for her dog too so I walked down to the place. It isn't too far from my place either which is nice but they were out of the medium size in black. Shelly told me that it was really popular, but had just put an order for it in and that she could take my number down and call me when it came in. Sure enough, I got the call a week and a half later so I went down to pick it up. Excellent customer service there! Will be taking the harness to grandma's house this weekend and look forward to shopping there again.

Interesting pet store. They have mainly fancy little clothes and trinkets to dress up your doggies. But you can also get a bday cake there!

Really cute place.
I took my friends dog here while dogsitting.
I think I liked it more than the pooch.
They were having a special..30% off all gear.
We got the pumpkin hound cake and the peanut butter round thing.
I think she liked the peanut butter one better.
The owner makes these treats at home. -

For the coupon issue, I understand if maybe the items I ordered might not have been valid but the person who rang me up told me they were redeemable. I would have appreciated it if she would have at least told me that my coupon was no good for my purchase instead of taking my coupon and charging me full price without telling me.

There are times in a man's life when he goes through cataclysmic changes. The first is when puberty hits and his voice starts to change. The second is when he goes to a strip club for the first time. The third is when he meets the love of his life and gets married. Hopefully the second and third things didn't happen at the same time.
I knew when I was dating my wife that I would marry her and my life would change forever. How?
1. I leave the toilet seat down. Shoot, I didn't even bother lifting it up, I just sit down too.
2. I watch Sex in the City and understand references to Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Salvatorre Ferragamo, Christian Louboutin, etc.
3. I know that "princess cut" doesn't refer to a hairstyle
4. Instead of Sunday Night Football, it's Desperate Housewives.
5. My refrigerator is no longer BRMCC - beer, meat, cheese, condiments
6. I go to a shop to buy baked goods for my dogs.
On this last point, I have become one of those guys that I had ridiculed in the past. That's Karma for you. Going to the store I was filled with both dread and excitement. But I have to admit Sophie's stuff looked pretty tasty. Miyuki was the nicest person and it is so great as a customer to deal with an owner who really loves what they do for a living. She even helped me find a solution to my dog's' "Ass-breath" with this product that is a Dog Smog buster. Now I no longer ask my dogs - what did you eat? S**t with a side of ass?!?
We gave them their treats and they just loved them down. Even Basil, the food whore of the two, took his time to enjoy it. I wanted to try a bite, but I asked myself if I should really trust the taste of one who goes to town licking their Hoo-Ha like there is no tomorrow. Since Coco's birthday is coming up, I will probably order a pumpkin hound cake. Wow. I can't believe I just wrote that for the world to see. Now if they can only get some of that peanut butter ice cream my dogs love... -

I love sophie's! I can't believe I've never been here before (I LIVE A FEW MILES AWAY -_-;;)
I took lola (my new french bulldog) and got her and maximus (my chiweenie) a few treats, toys, and bones.
It came out to $18 (the bones were $5 each...pricy, but my dogs love these)
The owner is extremely nice and her dog sophie is so cute! The owner asked me if lola was a v.i.pup. and i said no so she took a picture of her and put it on the wall :]
Next time i'm bringing maximus in so he can pick out what he wants. i love this place and i'm excited because now there is no need to drive all the way to LA or south OC for specialty doggy treats :]
if you are a dog lover you have to come here w/ your dogs! -

Little did I know that going inside a specialty dog store would enrich my dogcabulary. Here are four new words I learned: pupcakes (cupcakes), pawty (party), barkery (bakery) and % arrf (off). How interesting. Love how they really keep with the theme. Their marketing person is very smart.
I visited this place because I needed to buy some gourmet treats for our yellow labrador Miles to celebrate his second birthday. Since we already got him a huge birthday cake last year which was pretty pricey, I had the idea of getting him two cupcakes with a candle on each one. The shop was very easy to find because they have a large and attractive store signage in front. I came in scoped out their merchandise for a little bit before talking to the lady upfront. It's a neat little place exclusively for dogs. They sell a lot of cutesy stuff for ranging from hair bow, dog food, figurines, outfits, bags, luggage tags, dog shoes, feeding bowls, etc. from different brands. The focal point of their store however is their bakery. Everything is baked fresh everyday and beautiful displayed. Their treats look sooo delicious that I just really felt like getting some for myself. I settled on pumpkin hound cakes because the size was kind of what I had in mind and the lady in the store said it was popular among their customers. It was only $2.25 each. I also decided to get our pup pizza because it looked perfect! It was a pretty good size and only $4.50 complete with toppings. He gobbled them both but not all at once. One thing remarkable about the treats is that they smell so good. Mmmmm...
I also purchased a matching leash and collar for my dog with a bone design since he desperately needed one. However, I ended up returning the leash because I found something online when I got home that was more suitable for a chewer like him. I didn't have any problem returning it. The lady gave me a refund right away. I wonder if this store is owned by a Filipino because both ladies I met at the counter were Filipino. Their customer service was great. They gave me 10% doggy birthday discount, coupons, and invited me to bring in our pup for one of their store events. The whole experience was lovely and fun. -

We always bring our pup to Sophie's after a trip to the Fullerton dog park. He really enjoys getting samples after intense play sessions at the park. Sophie's has cute doggie cookies, pupcakes, and other doggy treats. They also have an assortment of doggy clothes and accessories. The owners are super friendly and loves to see our pup when we come in.

Awesome place, good prices, my dog always comes out happy after sampling the entire cart.
They have a good selection of clothes, beds, leashes, nail polishes, shampoos, and accessories. Sophie is the dog that hangs around the shop and she's cute as a button.
I think that this shop is mostly aimed towards small dogs, but bigger ones will have no problem in the gormet treat department. -

Coco and I decided to go to PetsMart and pick up stuff for the bunnies, Office Depot for myself and then to Sophies for Coco on this fine Saturday. We were kinda tired after PM and OD, thought about foregoing Sophies but I thought he would really enjoy it, so we pushed on. Im so glad we did!
There was one girl working there today and she was awesome. So friendly, nice and asked me lots of things about Coco with genuine interest. Coco got to try the Turkey Pizza, but I thought it would be too messy to eat at home, so we picked up:
(1) Pumpkin Hound Cake: It smells like pumpkin pie!
(2) Peanut Butter Paw Cookies: Look delicious!
(3) Salmon Pupsomethings: They look like little tiny muffins
Cocos favorite was the salmon thingy!
Anyhow - my total for those came out to little over $5. Not bad! Shoot, if I were to get the same thing for humans, it would have been more...
Coco enjoys everything and we'll definitely be back!Listed in: Lowered Car Friendly

I was thrilled when I saw that a dog store was opening in this spot, since it meant Nibbley would have a shop he could actually go into when we're out walking (he always tries to go into Target and seems sad when I won't let him).
Nibbley doesn't usually do too well with treats from these specialty bakeries. He's incredibly picky and his sophisticated canine palate usually enjoys delicacies such as Beggin Strips. Mmmm....Bacon. Because of his weird pickiness, I didn't have high hopes that he would like these freshly baked treats, but I decided to get him a Pupcake anyway. To my complete shock, he gobbled it up and even tried to eat the wrapper!! This is a VERY good sign for the treats at Sophie's! In addition, the customer service was very friendly and Sophie the dog is quite cute!
We'll definitely be back for more Pupcakes! -

I admit it, I spoil my dog. But you would too, if you had her. She is an awesome dog, and I am so glad that Sophie's is just down the street from us. Sophie's is a cute little dog boutique that carries home-baked goods and doggie accessories. They always make a big deal over your dog and the first time we came in, they took a picture of mine for their wall. I love that though I have a giant breed, they treat her just as sweetly as they would a toy breed, which is what you usually associate with dog boutiques.
They have a frequent buyer card, so make sure you use it and get the stamps! We have tried most things here. My dog's favorites are the peanut butter balls and the pumpkin Hound cake. The hound cake is LARGE, more than a portion for most dogs. I have a 110 lb. Newfoundland, and she eats a half at a time! Right now, we are watching her weight, but we used to go in weekly for a couple of treats.
Sophie's gets 4 stars, because, though they have a lot of accessories, few fit my big dog. I know, they mostly cater to little dogs, and it is probably a space issue, but the dog beds they have there? My dog would use as a pillow! The dishes? Too small!
Still, I am thrilled that Sophie's is in my neighborhood! -

The cutest dog store around. I come here quite often and I usually bring one of my two dogs with me (a shi/chi named Meg and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Belly). The staff have always been cheerful and welcoming. They've answered a bunch of questions about what harness I should get for my puppy to whether or not those puppy potty training trays work.
I had the honor of meeting Sophie one evening and she is the cutest, sweetest little chin ever. Great selection of toys, collars, leashes and dog clothes (yes, I'm one of those dog owners).
The store takes pictures of your dogs to post up on their wall. You can tell how popular and loved Sophie's is by the crowded wall of pooches. Keep a look out for Meg, Belly and my friend's yorkie Noah! -

We ordered the Pumpkin Hound birthday cake from here for our doggie Bella and it was so cute! We only have 2 dogs and didn't have a doggie party, so it was plenty. We gave them a slice a day for a little less than a week and still had sooo many leftovers that we, unfortunately, had to throw away (probably lasts longer if you store it in the freezer). For the size of the cake, it's pretty cheap at just $15! I think you only have to order a day ahead. I posted a picture of it on Facebook and all my friends commented about how cute (and yummy looking) it is and wondered if humans could eat it too. Haha!
Whenever I would take the cake box out of the fridge, our dogs would go crazy!! They would start busting out all of their tricks to impress us to make sure we'd give them lots of cake. I've never seen them get so excited. Sophie's also has dog pizza that I couldn't resist buying (and I think it was less than $4), which our pups also loved.
I've only been here 2 or 3 times, and the staff has always been very friendly. We brought our dogs in once and they gave them plenty of treats to sample. We also got a white Lakers jersey for Bella that everyone says is so cute. I love this place! -

Our first visit to Sophie's was by chance... my husband and I were shopping at Target one Sat afternoon and as we were leaving the parking lot, we saw Sophie's. There was parking right in front so thought, what the hay.
I'm so glad we went in. Miyuki and Tamara are the NICEST girls and so welcoming, we felt so comfortable the moment we walked in. They have the CUTEST merchandise... clothes, collars/leashes, plenty of toys, bowls, homemade treats... I can go on and on! Of course, we walked out of there with some fabulous merchandise and treats.
We visited them again this past weekend, this time brought our Cairn Terrior, Doocie. Again, they welcomed us with open arms and regarded Doocie as if he was their own. He had so much fun... and he's now on their "V.I.Pups" Wall of Fame! That's like the COOLEST idea. Once again, we walked out of there with MORE fabulous items and treats... the homemade treats are the BEST! -

i love that the people that work here LOVE dogs. it's a cute little boutique in the amerige heights hopping center. it's pretty awesome because you can walk up the street a little and take your dog for a nice walk in the park - it's super green with a nice open field - and then back to sophie's for treats!
i brought my little pup here and he was doted on! he got to sample the salmon and pumpkin pupcakes! the cutest thing about the samples is that they actually take the time to pipe some "frosting" on each sample! that's love.
my pup really loves the salmon pupcakes - well, the pumpkin ones too. the pumpkin one has some wheat/flour in it, so it was a one time treat for him. the salmon ones have no flour, so we will prob be back in for some more of those. a little bit on the pricier side, but who doesn't wanna spoil their fur baby once in a while?
things i noticed while looking around the shop... lots of cute doggie clothes, an assortment of leashes, harnesses, collars... cute toys, zuke's treats and chews, honest kitchen food, doggie nail polish (yeahhhh i know), lots of holistic dog shampoo/treatments... and some really cute carriers, beds, and bowls. it's nice and organized, not cluttered at all! and your pup will definitely love the pupcakes!
occasionally they have coupons in those OC dog newspapers - so keep an eye out for those! i think i got a frequent buyer card here? not 100% positive, but pretty sure i did. -

Sophie's Barkery did not disappoint!!! I ordered the "Pumpkin Hound" cake it's the only cake they offer it's a 9x4" beautifully decorated bone-shaped birthday cake. You have to order it in advance. I ordered it thursday for a saturday pick up. I've been to Three Dogs Barkery and Bark 'n Bake and Sophie's is the best for the value $17.99 +tax, it was meticulously decorated and it's darn good my dogs loved it!! It really made Riley's first birthday cake from Bark 'n Bake an embarrassing excuse for a bday cake.
Ehh, anyway back to my rant and rave about Sophie's. My family and I actually all tried the cake, after I sliced the cake it really looked like cake and it smelled good just like pumpkin pie. At Three dogs it was like liver pate or whatever it was inside the cake and at Bark 'n Bake it was a biscuit. So when we saw it was cake and smelled of familiar comfort dessert we had to try it. The cake was pumpkin and moist and of course neither sweet nor spiced like a pumpkin pie but it was definitely pumpkin in flavor. The brown icing was bland peanut butter and the white icing tasted like butter lol. So as you can see a real birthday cake that is perfect for dogs. Shelby the birthday girl loved it and her 5 pups gobbled it up and Riley, her mate, couldn't get enough! It was so good that my lit' cousins had a small bite size piece. Talk about everyone enjoying the cake!! So this is a ridiculously long review but hey if you're crazy like me for her dogs and doesn't mind spending good money on silly birthday cakes wouldn't you want to know it was money well spent?
So thanks Sophie's Dog Shop and Barkery for making Shelby's 2nd birthday a beautiful one!! I can tell you love your customer's pups as much as we love them!! Can't wait to go back and buy more goodies in the future!Listed in: Doggie Heaven

Sophie's is the a great place to shop with (and for) your furry friend!! My dogs love the Pumpkin Hound cake, the peanut butter puffs and all the treats. The very best thing about Sophie's is the incredible customer service. Miyuki (the owner) and Tamara are simply the sweetest and most attentive. It's like going to Nordstrom for your dog but the prices are reasonable. There is always something fun and new to look at and we just enjoy visiting there.

Sooo glad that a dog specialty store opened up so close to my house. The owner and the worker are the nicest people around- some serious dog-loving people who were as excited about my dog as I was. The only reason I give it three stars is because the selection is extremely limited. Very little to choose from and even when I did find something I liked, they only had one size left. Hopefully, this is only because they just recently opened and things will change in a bit.

I found this hidden store a few months ago and my puppies are so happy I did. The owner is very nice and she and her staff are genuinely interested in your four legged family member. The Barkery is so cute and my girls love when I come home with goodies for them. Sophie (namesake and owner's puppy) herself has free reign of the store and she is super cute and friendly. Dog's are more than welcome to come and visit and they will LOVE you for it because Sophie's will let them sample! The store offers lots of specialty items you cant find anywhere else.

I absolutely love this place! The shop is adorable and my dog really enjoyed the treats (and she's a very picky eater). The nice thing is they let your dog sample them before you end up buying something they don't like. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, they even have a wall where they have pictures of all of the dogs that visit the shop. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the limited selection of toys, but all of the merchandise is really cute and unique. I will definitely be back!!

I am new to the neighborhood and found the greatest dog shop & bakery in OC. Sophies is the best, they have a wide selection of supplies and great gift ideas not to mention tasty treats for dogs. They were SO kind, caring & loving and provide stellar customer service. We'll be back again soon, promise. Sancho LOVES his treats ;-).
