Sonya Lee is awesome.
Immediately felt comfortable around her and knew that she'd be efficient and honest with me.
My most persistent complaint with these types of doctors is their second identity as "drug pushers." Dr. Lee was not that. She is a great listener and she is clear and straightforward. Kudos!
Dr. Lee is probably the best gynecologist I've ever had. She's very thorough, but doesn't dawdle so that you get out of there in a good amount of time. My urge to shower off the appointment that I usually have with other doctors is not very strong with Dr. Lee.
She used to be at Graduate Hospital but moved to Presbyterian when the Penn Health system closed her old office. Her office is not as "pretty" or convenient to downtown as it used be, but take the El to 40th and you walk a block to get there--still doable on a lunch break if need be.
If you require credentials, she's the chief of OB/GYN at Presbyterian, and was also the OB/Gyn chief at Graduate Hospital.
Saw Dr. Lee twice, good doctor. Easy to talk to. Very thorough and exam was quick. Asked Dr. Lee questions and actually received good answers (last GYN was terrible, couldn't answer any questions). Works with you. I would definetely recommend her.
Followed up on test results in a timely manner (I was impressed!!) and getting an appt for a problem was easy, was within a few hours of phone call!! She seems to good to be true!!
Wow... who ever thought I would be writing a review about my gyno in public forum? I sure didn't until I realized that Dr. Lee had already been reviewed on Yelp and I felt the need to throw in my props, too. I don't think there is any one woman who will ever say, "Gee! I can't wait to go to my next gyno appointment!" Not even Dr. Lee will make you proclaim that, even in a brief moment of insanity. What she WILL do is make you feel 100% comfortable about the whole experience. Every other gyno I have ever had has been pretty impersonable, but Dr. Lee makes it a point to get to know you... and she honestly CARES about the state of your health. I would happily recommend her to any woman that is looking for a good doctor. Also, her nurses and receptionists are always so friendly, helpful, and even FUNNY! The last time I was in her office, the one receptionist that was working the desk was cracking me up. You know if you get the opportunity to burst out into chuckles in the doctor's office, you're pretty much set up for a good experience.
