Eh, this place is kind of a last resort for my friends and I when no one can agree on what to eat.  It's typically loud and the tables are often left with little bits of other people's meals... ew.

The last time I ate here was Fourth of July weekend and it took about half and hour for my buzzer to go off.  My girlfriend ended up having to pick at my plate while she waited another ten minutes for her food to be ready (and she ordered mere seconds after I had).

Overal, the food is OK and the atmosphere is kind of sucky.

Meh...this place has gone downhill since their "popularity" has caught on.  Today we went and I ordered my favorite cobb salad.  It was just "good."  The BIGGEST disappointment was in the dressing.  I have always said that Sonoma Chix Coop has the BEST ranch dressing.  Well, you can imagine my disappointment today when I discovered that they have changed out their fabulous ranch for some cheap knockoff nasty store bought stuff.  GROSS.  I was SO upset.  I hope it's just a fluke and the bring back the good stuff.

Saddness.

Sonoma Chicken Coop

Over the weekend, I had dinner at Sonoma Chicken Coop for a friends 29th birthday. We were a party of 10 getting together early for dinner as later that night they rented the room upstairs for the private party hosting over 50 guests.

SCS is described by many as "gourmet fast food," where gourmet means sit down restaurant type of food but you actually wait in line to order your food and wait for your number and name to be called. This is my first time eating here and I looked forward to it as Jatbar gave SCS a favorable review, plus the fact I have not reviewed here yet.

Half of the group waited in line to get there food. The other half grabbed a table at the bar area. Turns out if you sit in the bar/table section of the restaurant, someone will come and take your order for food and drinks. Those who grabbed the table ordered from the waitress while those who ordered on their own waited for their numbers to be called.

The place was packed for dinner Saturday night and our group was fortunate to grab 3 tables right near each other to combine into one. Since this is Sonoma Chicken Coop, I decide to order the Roost-Tisserie Half Chicken (8.99) with the Rooster Booster BBQ sauce and a side of Pasta Bolognese. I was planning to get the mashed potato but the birthday girl recommended the pasta saying "the pasta dish is huge and plus you get two slices of Foccacia bread." My friend ends up ordering the Sirloin Steak (rare).

Most people in our group and several tables near our party had a plate of fried calamari on their table. This seems like the popular starter to get, as the portions are twice as large as you get in most restaurants. About 20 minutes later our food arrived. My friend was right; there was a lot of food for only 8.99. The half chicken would have been enough on its own. The chicken was moist and juicy for most part but some of the areas within the center of the breast were a tad dry and a portion of the skin was overdone. Other than that, I wish they added more BBQ sauce to the chicken. The pasta Bolognese was your typically spaghetti al dente with thick meat sauce. I was a bit disappointed I did not get the slices of bread but was not sure that was included with my meal.

My friends rare steak looked nicely grilled to her liking with mashed potato and two slices of the Foccacia bread. After the meal, I had no room left for dessert. Service was prompt and friendly although at one stage I wished my soda was refilled, but after waiting for 10 minuets I finally asked the waitress for a refill and she prompted brought over a new glass.

I ended up paying $12 for my portion of the meal. Would definitely go back to get one of their desserts. The party ended at 12:30am but when everyone was leaving it seems like their bar section downstairs was still open.

Pluses: Easy access to a parking garage just across the street, affordable prices, large portions, friendly service.

Minuses: When busy, could be difficult to find a table. You dont always get your free slices of bread

You know that commercial where they yell "price check on condoms" over the PA while some young guys trying to pay?
Well that's what they did to our coupon....yes I used a coupon, why not? Well this is why I usually don't,  they made a huge spectacle and it took like TEN minutes and about 5 workers to figure out how to deduct it!

Then they gave us the wrong order and the food was VERY bleh.
This is a cafeteria with flavorless chicken. And the artichoke? How are you supposed to eat it? It was more trouble than it was worth after they completely soaked it in oil and sauce, no thanks.

On a side note I have another $10 off coupon if someone wants it PM me...I don't think I'll be back.

This chicken has flown the coupe!

Average food, good dessert.

My personal favorite is The Hockey Puck. It's chocolate brownie filled on the inside with hot chocolate fudge, sitting on top of raspberry cream swirls and vanilla ice cream on the side.  It's really large btw, great to split.

I love this place! I went here with my friends for my birthday thingie and let me tell you...at first I wasn't too excited. I mean...what the hell was this place? Lol, walking in I was like eh...ordered my food and then we walked out to the open area. It was soo nice! I liked the ambiance outside, inside was eh...

The food was really good. I had the Chicken BBQ Pizza. One thing I didn't like though was that I had a bone in one of my pizza slices...I mean eww...imagine eating a pizza and finding a bone in it. Eh...It was okay because the pizza was really good. It was very full-filling...I kept trying to push the rest of my slices onto my friends to finish it.

I've been wanting to go back with my BF since it'll be a place that he'll like but I haven't gotten the chance to. Man...I'm drooling as I'm typing this. I want some right now!

One thing I can't stand from a restuarant is what seems to be pre-manufactured food that is steaming hot on the outside, yet stone cold in the middle.  IMHO it's just an overpriced, overhyped cafeteria with a catchy name.  Nope, not for me.

Just came back from there for breakfast.  I normally opt for Stacks which is located across the ways, but since it was Sunday morning and the wait there was minimum an hour wait, we went  to give Sonoma Chicken Coop a try as we saw people having breakfast.  Plus we wanted to grab a bite to eat before walking down the farmer's market.

Eh...overall, the food was mediocre at best.  It just felt like a school cafeteria with perhaps a nicer decor.  You ordered your food, they gave you those buzzers and when it rattled and buzzed, you knew to go up to the counter to get your food.  On the side of the register was where you fill up your cup with drink of choice, get your utensils and condiments.

I ordered the Mushroom & Spinach scramble with bacon. It came with sauteed potato, onion and bell peppers. A choice of toast.  I chose sourdough.

My friend ordered the special of the day - biscuits and gravy. It also came with two eggs and the potato, onion and bell peppers.

My toast was warm, and wasn't "toasted" per say.  My scramble was a bit over cooked.

The biscuits and gravy were a bit below average.

I suppose its edible if you aren't picky. However, I wouldn't recommend this place for breakfast.

The "Coop's" motto is "inexpensive excellence" and I think that just about sums it up.

I usually grab the salmon or lemon chicken and my lady gets the roasted chicken salad, apple harvest salad, and the garden foccacia- which she says is one of her favorite veggie dishes.

The prices are good and I like the fact that there isn't an annoying waiter bothering me every 5 mins, so he can get a good tip.

The bar area is also pretty cool. I have been to the Campbell Coop just to drink a few times and I'm never let down with the beer, mixed drinks, or servers.

Overall, an awesome dinning experience.

Their motto, "Inexpensive Excellence," is really the truth!

For the few living under a rock who haven't tried this place, a few disclaimers: this is a self-service restaurant, and it can get pretty full during peak hours.  On the flip side, this also means no need for tipping, and it also means it's lively.

Otherwise, parking is great, the specials are updated weekly, there's live music on the weekends, and outside seating (with heat lamps) are available (great for downtown Campbell, which is very chill).  It's also a microbrewery!  There's a bar area as well with plenty of flat screen HDTVs, perfect for a guys' night out (saw the Warriors in the playoffs here a couple times in 2007... had a great time).

Soft drinks have free refills!

And not everybody knows this apparently, but if you ever want more focaccia (the free pizza-like bread they serve with the meals), it's free.  It's great when they change it up too... sometimes it has onions, tomatoes, capers, olives, mushrooms... I've seen many varieties.

Dishes not to miss:

1) Lime Grilled Chicken - 2-3 boneless chicken breast fillets grilled with a hint of lime juice, served on top of a creamy rice pilaf.  Super tasty, and it's tender enough to just use a fork.  It also comes with mashed potatoes garnished with fried leeks, and some grilled bell pepper.

2) Half-Rotisserie Chicken.  The Coop au Vin sauce is really great.  The value/portion is huge.  Also comes with a side of your choice.

3) Jalapeno Chicken Focaccia.  Yummy, spicy sandwich that comes with tasty chips and salsa.

4) Chocolate Fondue - comes with bananas, oranges, strawberries, Rice Krispies treats, pound cake, and a candle to keep your fondue warm.

Love, love, love this place, and will come back again and again.

I'm a definite fan of the brunch here and the kid's menu as well. They are really great with group reservations as well. If I were to choose between all of the Coop's, I'd choose ths one hands down. I don't see a listing for the Almaden one, but I can tell you it's pretty blah.

To quote Mr. Eugene F:

"The brunch here is tasty on the weekends, and is a good alternative to the inevitable wait in line at Stack's."  I really want to try Stacks, I really do...but the more and more I get rejected, the less and less I want to try it.  In fact, I would rather make reservations at the house of the lemon pancake maker.

I had been here before for the fondue, the burger, and the chicken. All were good, cheap, and fast.  This past Sunday, I came in for breakfast.  I ordered up some French toast with a side of people watching on the front patio.  It was the day of the boogie on the bayou, and all I really wanted was some syrup and breakfast.  Good value for the cheap  and tasty french toast, only $5.99...now that's what I call a deal.  Forget Denny's folks!  Just head to the counter, place your order, leave with your buzzer and wait for the BZZZZZZZ.  Fast food...kinda...but not in the traditional sense.  I have heard they have great salads, and it's on my to do list...

I guess I just stuck to all the unhealthy stuff, that I forgot about the "healthy" alternatives.

I've been here a number of times over the years, and it is definitely an upgrade from the Stoddard's that it used to be way back when.  Not that Stoddard's was bad, but never liked the food.

So the confusing thing about SCC in Campbell is that it looks like it should be a sit-down restaurant, but instead, it is fully a self service restaurant.

I like how they used to have these signs that said something to the effect of Campbell's best-kept secret or something in reference to their upstairs dining area.  My friend and I went up there once to see what it was all about, and it definitely was a best-kept secret since we were the only ones up there.  I think by now, people have caught on to the fact that it exists now.

I have been to the Sonoma Chicken Coop in downtown San Jose, and the food quality is about the same.  It's nice that the Campbell location kept the Stoddard's beer, and also has a fully stocked bar to go with it.

I've had several different things on the menu before, but today, I tried the vegetable risotto.  Like every other item I have ordered from the menu, it comes with the slice of pizza.  The risotto wasn't too bad, but I was there mainly to meet people for a business lunch, and wasn't that hungry to begin with.

I think it's a good place to go to for lunch, not a great place to take a date to, and it's not a bad place to go for a drink.

I've been going to the Coop since it opened. Prior to that, it was two unsuccessful breweries.  People complain here and there about the place, but you have to take it for what it is.

- Food: Not everything is awesome. I recommend the bbq chicken pizza. I've had the cheese and some other type there and they are nasty. The bbq chicken is absolutely yummy. Also try the bbq chicken sandwich. It is served on focaccia bread.  Try: chocolate fondue for dessert.. yummmmmy!!  I'd pass on the cheese fondue.. not yummy.  I've had breakfast there on the weekends and they serve various pancakes, french toast, egg scrambles, etc. Granted, it's not high class restaurant, but their menu is decent. I also recommend their chicken walnut salad. Absolutely delicious!!

- Bar: Full bar and brewery.
- Seating: Plentiful. There's also a big upstairs room and a smaller private room that can be booked for parties and what not.
- Others: It's loud and you order at the counter and wait for your buzzer to go off, but so what!  Pricing is fair. They had the nerve to raise the prices awhile back, but not portion sizes, but it appears they have retracted to the old way. Thank goodness!
- Weekends have music/dj's and comedy shows. Fun place to hang out when there's a festival downtown.

I'd take this place over Stack's (across the street) any day. Stack's is WAAAY overrated and the food is just okay.

Pretty much my least favorite restaurant ever. My friends always want to eat there because everyone orders their food separately so they don't have to mess with splitting the check. The food however is horrible, I've tried maybe 8 different entrees and never liked a single one. I also don't like that for the price you have to get up and down to get your own beverages.

I am not really fond of this place. It seems like they intended to make some good food but rushed it and so it's lacks flavor, over done, or just not right. I have tried many things and something always seems to be off. The pasta sauce is always, always runny. I have had the chicken and it has no flavor. The only good thing I have had here is the burger with avocado. Also I know it's kind of a casual place but is that any reason to let your kids run around like wild banshees and irritate the rest of the world simply because you live it 24/7. It is a  really great concept and the dishes could be good but good/fast food is hard to do.

We were craving chicken after waking up late on a lazy Sunday so I thought we should hit up the Chicken Coop in Campbell. I love the cozy feeling of downtown Campbell. I usually hit up the area when I grab a  drink at Cardiff.
I ordered the salmon focaccia sandwich, my fiance ordered the half rotisserie  chicken and her daugher got the garlic chicken alfredo. All were pretty good, esp. the rotisserie chicken. YUM. We also got a coupel glasses of their sangria and it wasn't half bad. I was buzzin after downing mine!
All in all, we had a really good meal. Nice people, awesome vibe, and happy stomachs!

We have been coming to "the Coop" for years now since they opened their Campbell location, but this was the first time we held a party there for our kids' First Communion.  I called in advance to set aside an area for our party of 30 and opted to have our guests order from the menu and charge it to our card.  The whole planning went well, thanks to Diana and our guests (most of whom have never even heard of Sonoma Chicken Coop, let alone have eaten there) all loved what they ordered and also enjoyed HOW the restaurant "runs".

As for myself, I can never go wrong with my half chicken with lemon caper sauce and side (artichokes!)  Rarely do I venture off and try one of their specials, but even that...I have never been disappointed!  Remember to order the chocolate fondue for dessert!  You just can't go wrong!

I have to say when I first heard the name of this place I thought it was a little odd..."chicken coop"...??? that doesnt sound like a semi fancy place in downtown Campbell...but thats exactly what the place is. LOL. And when the ad said inexpensive, i have to say i thought that would mean cheap...and when I order an entree (fettuccini alfredo), side salad, side of rice and a beer for $23, that doesnt sound cheap for lunch. However, it was way more food that I thought it was gonna be. The side salad was actually like a regular size, the side of rice was like massive and the main fettuccini was huge. So, suffice to say, the money was well spent. And the food was all very good and quite tasty. Will definitely try it again next time Im up in the area and pick a different dish to see if they do chicken well. LOL.

A solid casual neighborhood restaurant for suburbia

I have had breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night drinks here and all have been decent experiences.

You do have to walk up and order, which I don't like.

Outside of that the food is solid (not great, not bad)  But the ribs can be really good, I like the chicken wings from time to time and as the name says they do have chicken and it is pretty good.

I'm a fan of the half chicken with bbq sauce.

Probably isn't the best place to go if you are looking to have drinks late night and are in the mood for an atmosphere.  Always kind of quiet and dead late in the evening.

Bloody Mary's here can be good depending on the bartender you get.  And the bartender's here are pretty cool and friendly.

Clearly the people who are giving this place 3 stars or less are not ordering the goat cheese fondue starter and dark chocolate fondue for dessert! Get with it peeps. It's the poor mans la fondue! Except here they even cook the food for you...BUT...you have to walk around with it on a tray and do all the work yourself and I'm lazy so that cost them a star.

Food - 3.5
Service - 3
Ambience - 2.5

Really enjoy their Spicy Surf & Turf Pizza - prawns and pepperoni topped with tons of jalapenos. I usually have to ask them to go easy on the jalapenos as I am weak. You get a lot of food for your money here and I can usually make two meals out of my entree.

I've eaten here a few times and never really thought to write a review cuz it's such a huge chain and probably stands up on its own. But I have to say, this particular one in Campbell is really awesome. The food is prepared super fast and is delicious. The prices are great, and for anyone with really rowdy kids, the upper balcony is god's gift to parents!

It's spacious up there and the kids can walk around without really bothering anyone.

Their chicken dishes are so yummy, and the leeky mashed potatoes are great too! I like how napkins, silverware, and to go boxes are easily and readily accessible at all times.

Parking can be daunting at times, but you will always find a spot, even if you have to walk a distance. Besides, Campbell is such a beautiful spot, it's nice to walk through.

We went here on a day that the upstairs area was booked for an event.  There was eight of us, and seating for a party our size was limited, so we took the only table available to us; right in front of the door to the parking garage.

Did I mention we went in February when it was freezing cold outside?  Yah, our experience was slightly south of enjoyable for this reason.  There was a constant stream of people coming through these double-doors and every time they did, our party was hit with a gust of freezing cold wind.

As long as you don't expect anything better than a decent meal at good prices, you'll be pleased.  They have a good variety and quick service so I can't complain, but it's nothing spectacular.

A two-story atrium awaits the consumer upon entrance.  Very noisy and lots of people.  I wanted a quiet place in order to chit-chat with my homies.  We decided to go upstairs.  There seems to be more stairs than is legally permissible here.  A few of my people have trouble walking.  I asked for an elevator... here's where it gets interesting. They have an elevator in the parking garage next to the Sonoma chicken coop.  Soooooo, have to physically walk out of the restaurant, walk aways in the parking garage, go upstairs, and you step out onto......    a banquet hall????  hello???  have to walk a ways to get to a plain-looking door (is this it?), open it and voila! there it is.... tsk, tsk tsk...

There are NO waitstaff....  cafeteria style "Take Your Order"  and then "Pick Up Your Order".  There's a bar located in the back corner of the restaurant.  You pick up your own food, your own drinks, utensils, napkins and carry it to your own table.

The problem I had with this place was the menu. There are three of them!  One hanging in the air (and only a few dishes listed here), one on a laminated menu (which had more items to choose from), and finally, a paper menu that is "hidden' away from the register (and that menu has more items on it, which I eventually ordered from). I got the Tequila Lime Grilled Chicken, which was delicious and low fat for the diet.  However, my homies had trouble eating their food, as it was either VERY sweet or VERY spicy, overly sauced.

I will not be going back here anytime soon, as it was just too much sensory bombardment and I had to try and figure out what was going on...  didn't get to enjoy my lunch with my friends.

ALERT:: There will be poo mentioned in this review ::ALERT

SCC was close to where we were at the time so we decided to eat there.

The service was....ummm...well there really isn't any service there. You go to the counter, tell 'em whatcha want, they buzz you, you pick it up. Almost like fast food.

The food was really good ('cept for the big piece of ex-lax that must've been in mine.) I had the white hot mozzarella, which was incredible and garlicky, and the garlic chicken fettuccine...no wonder I never make out at the end of the night. I enjoyed it and it came out quickly.
...and it came out quickly.

...and it came out quickly.

Another reason that I don't get to make out at the end of the night is because before I leave the restaurant, my stomach likes to urgle, then gurgle, then urgle once more before I have to make a B-line to the bathroom and play hell with the ass-gaskets. (That's another thing, I don't like to put down the seat cover, then deal with the middle part. You hafta kinda tear it off so that your poo can go where it needs to go, but then I screw it up and tear the whole thing, or the cover moves and gets dunked...it's just a situation.) Anyway, food was not bought, only rented, and it hurt.

Great place!  Affordable prices, plenty of seats downstairs & upstairs.
The whole place feels like a cafeteria in a way. You go up to the counter and place your order and they give you a buzzer to notify you when it's ready.   This is nice if you have a large group and everyone wants to pay individually.  There's not much service running around to help you since you're responsible for your own trays, silverware, napkins and drinks.

I love their calamari!! A huge plate full of it for only $11.00, can't beat that anywhere. It's tender and breaded just right.   The menu is really affordable and most prices are about $8-11 dollars for huge portions.  The wine menu is a little expensive though.  $9.50 for a glass of merlot.

Upstairs, they have jazz night on Thursdays and a live band on Fridays.  Not sure if they do on Saturdays.  It's a pretty laid-back place to chill with friends at the bar or to host a large dinner party.   We had about 15 people in our party and they precisely kept  to the reservation time so we didn't have to wait too long. The most 10 minutes.  The hostess was very friendly and accomadating.  Overall we had a great time. No complaints.

I tried this place for the first time last week, and I can definitely see myself coming back. We went on Saturday when they had a live singer (Jack Rip-off I believe?), who did a lot of fun rock cover songs. Without live entertainment there wouldn't be as much point in coming here though.

pros: We loved both dishes we got (goat cheese fondue and cheese bread). It's a notch above the food you'll find in a place like TGI Friday's, and I'd say the prices are actually lower. I didn't mind the self service, because it's fun being at a place without your waiter trying to turn your table. You can stay as long as you want and listen to music and no one really cares. Also like the drink refills and all the sauces available. There was no problem getting seating at 8 pm on Saturday.

cons: It's pretty loud and can be difficult to have a conversation. It was better when the music started though. The bus people were not very polite and kept cleaning and vacuuming right by our table.

I'll definitely come back here and maybe try the famous chicken. Then again, it is equally fun coming here late at night and sharing a bunch of appetizers.

I really want to like Sonoma Chicken Coop (Campbell location).  The downtown location never lets me down.

I typically come to this HUGE Campbell location for weekend breakfasts.  It's a nice place to fill up your tummy before you head out to the farmer's market.  Or you could be like me and re-fuel after a long run on Los Gatos Creek Trail.

The few times I have been here to eat, they've messed up my order or someone that I am dining with.  My companion and I ordered totally different dishes and we both got one slice of sourdogh and one slice of wheat toast that were charred.  We both wanted wheat.  How did that happen?  During my last visit, I got my order in a timely manner but my other two friends waited over 15 minutes for their order and when they inquired "the computer broke" so they had not even begun cooking their order.

Random stuff.....

PROS:
~  Lots of seating so there is no waiting for tables.
~  Easy ordering and you can pay individually if you are with a big group.
~  Cheap prices
~  Healthy options

CONS:
~  Prepare for order screwups in the am.  The employees don't seem to be awake yet either.

Overall, I still really enjoy Sonoma Chicken Coop and I'd still give then another couple of chances.

(Now if they would just open the Skyport location.....)

The parking situation there sucks, especially when it's raining cats and dogs outside, but at least there's that garage across the street.

The bread pudding made the trip worth it.

Hit or miss this place.

I've came here and had hits but also some misses. Things have tasted weird, ingredients never tasted right - but today was not so bad.

It was a nice day and this place has perfect outdoor seating. The service style is a bit between self-serve and someone taking your order. So there is a bit of work to get your food. I had a Citrus Grove salad today which was perfect since it was so hot. The vinaigrette however made the grapefruit extremely bitter and unmanageable.

The ambiance is similar to a cafeteria, you go and order and then wait for your food - which is okay in a sense because basically you are in control of your own experience. I would love it, love it, love it if this place could partner with a cup-cakery and expand their dessert menu.

Try it out if you're not expecting much and just need some food. You might be pleasantly surprised.

I've realized I've been here a few times and have failed to rate the place. This past week decided to stop to catch the end of the warriors game. The place was semi packed, but the service was fast and pretty decent. It was really busy friday night and I ended up going somewhere else, but if you can get in early on the weekend then thats the way to go. 2 thumbs up. The food has always been delicious and of course the beer sampler is GREAT!!

You'd think a place with "chicken" in the name would know how to cook chicken. You'd be, and I was, wrong.

I ordered the 1/4 chicken with a garden vegetable pasta on the side. The chicken was over-cooked and the pasta sauce was gross. While cutting through my chicken breast with the side of my fork it actually flipped out of my plate and splashed my unfortunate choice of bar-b-cue sauce all over the place. Chicken shouldn't be that tough. A place with "chicken" in the name shouldn't *serve* chicken that tough.

The ice tea was good, but the dispenser's spigot wasn't far enough from the counter for the cup to fit under, so I couldn't even get a full glass of ice tea. That costs them about 4 cents a cup to make, cuz you know, it's water and a tea bag. And because it's all self-service, and that Chinese Grandmother totally cut me off as I was trying to claim a table that was relatively close to the self-serve station, I never even got around to refilling my glass. Of ice tea. The only good thing about my meal.

Net: If you're going to serve yourself and you want good food and drinks... go across the street to Aqui.

Living only blocks from here - I've really tried to give this place a chance. The food here tastes like it's been microwaved. Also at a place called the "chicken coop" I would expect to eat good quality chicken - but instead it's processed CUBES on a salad or rubber on a sandwhich. And the breakfasts.... are really just horrible.

The only saving grace is the bar: kudos to the Sunday bloody mary bar and the beer is pretty good if you want to catch a game on TV. But the bartenders don't really remember you and it's just an okay experience.

My experience with this place has been mixed. I think it's decent for the type of place it is, but some of their food is good and others not so much.

This weekend I had the tropical chicken salad, which is kind of like a chinese chicken salad, but with mango. It was one of the best things I've had here and the dressing was nice and light. Some of the entree type meals I've had in the past have just been ok.

It's super crowded during lunchtime and very loud. Great place for kids, but there are a lot of them here, so beware if you don't have any.

Food came out very quickly after we ordered, so that's a plus. Overall, it's a good place to go for a cheapish meal. Most of the time, I'd take Aqui across the street, though.

SCC seems like a good idea - at first.

1. Drive around and around and try to find a parking place. Once found, walk two blocks to restaurant.

2. Wait in impossibly slow, long line to order food.

3. Order food and pay waaaay too much for what I am getting.

3. Walk around and around and try to find an open (and dare I dream, clean) table.

4. Finally find table, get setted in, and then number is called to go pick up food.

5. Fill glass with beverage.

6. Get back to table, realize I forgot utensils. walk back up to get them.

7. Back to table. Eat cup of tomato shrimp bisque ($3.99) YUM!

8. Eat 1/4 chicken with green beans ($6.99) SO-SO

9. Have bite of hubby's wine grilled artichoke ($5.99) I LOVE artichokes but ICK! This one tastes horrible.

10. Have bite of hubby's pasta with pesto. YUM!

11. Have buyer's remorse because we just spent more than $30 for a meal that was just okay and almost completely self-service.

The menu is limited if you don't want chicken.  The food was ok.  And last but definitely not least, we spotted a roach crawling on the wall next to our booth.  I don't think I'll be going back.
