Neighborhood: University of TexasSonny's is cute, clean, and organized. These are features that are sometimes hard to find in a vintage store. Unfortunately, I didn't have fun shopping there. I was in the store for at least 30 minutes. I looked at every rack, found two items that I tried on, decided against them, and left. During that time, I never saw another person. I think someone was in the back on the computer, but he/she never came out to greet me. At one point I stood near the counter with a dress I had tried on in my hand. If someone had come out of the back room, I would have bought it because it fit really well and wasn't too expensive. After awhile I started to feel kind of uncomfortable. Someone could have murdered the employee and be waiting to kill me next. No one would have heard my screams because of the blaring Hendrix music. Despite my creepy experience, I would probably shop there again, but I'll take a friend next time.

Awesome new store!
The vintage clothing is top-notch, lots of stuff that's actually never been worn but was made way-back, cool gowns, good men's stuff, purses, hats, pins and patches. I didn't need anything today, but I'll be back for one of the hot dresses or cute tops, I bet.
The selection of vintage microphones is awesome to see, even if you don't know a thing about mics.
The array of old instruments and electronics (even an awesome vintage TV) is clean and doesn't feel like a junk shop at all. A limited number of records are also available.
The only thing I would have changed (and the only thing that felt out of place) was a line of cigar-box purses painted with the likenesses of celebrities (Justin Timberlake, Paris Hilton, Marilyn Monroe). They were just NOT my taste.
There's some incense burning pretty strongly, which I didn't mind, but it could bug some people.
Cool note: There's a cute stage in the back (velvet curtains, Jimmi Hendrix posters) of the store where the instruments are displayed, and the owner or employee announced over one of the crackly old (but super) mics that they'd be having live music in-store later that day! Expect more music later, I bet!
A tasteful, cool addition to the Drag's resale stores.
