This place does suck!
After placing our order we realized that we wanted to change it so we pressed the button again (not even a minute after). No response, we get out of the car walk over to the entrance and the girl just says I am done with the order I will be right out. We tried to tell her we wanted to change the order and she walked away. WTF?
We were not able to change the order since it was already made. The food was cold and it had no flavor. If we ordered fries why wouldn't she include Ketchup.
Should have read the reviews first, I might give another location another try.
ate here on the way back from a camping trip. my friends had been raving about it and i was anticipating a wonderful experience. sadly, this sonics did me wrong. the bathroom floors, sinks, toilets, paper towels were all soaked and there was no sign that said "look the f out". after asking me twice for my order "fritos chili cheese wrap" the voice did not add it to our order causing me to wait for another 15 minutes or so for so snack that was 3 inches long and filled with nitrate crap which tasted like nothing but heartburn and cost $3.15. i heard the burgers were pretty good. large portions on everything but what i ordered. also note that the coffee drinks although not stated anywhere on their signs are NOT INCLUDED IN HAPPY HOUR because they have ice cream in them which is also not stated anywhere. which, gosh, if i had known that i would have just bought a soda. it seems sonics you were just too good to actually be true.
i guess the main things that warranted this one star is that you have no recourse to correct or check on an order until one of their employees saunter out to you. totally bummer cakes. and also THEY DO NOT ROLLERBLADE AT THIS LOCATION. what's the point man i should just go to foster freeze then.
DQ is next door i suggest you try your luck there.
We were on our way up to Yosemite and this was one of the many Sonics that lined the freeway. If you miss this one, don't worry, there are about ten more at nearly every exit.
We wanted to try Sonic for a long time, but they don't have them closer to the Bay Area. We pulled over, ordered fries and a burger and waited. Their bathroom is beyond disgusting, so you're better off at another chain restaurant if that matters to you. What's worse is that there fries were doused with salt. It was like pouring salt into your mouth it was so bad. yuck.
I LOVE Sonic! It is a must-do when I am out in the farmlands. I was so excited to be stopping at one as a finale' to our weekend road trip.
But this one.... SUCKS! (you'll see... just check out my pictures)
They do take credit cards, quite easily, which is nice. And I love sitting outside in the sun.
But the food at this one is horrible.
Ooooh! PEPPERJACK Cheese Tots??? YES!!!
Hey wait a minute.... They forgot the cheese. They sorta-quickly brought out another order. This isn't pepperjack cheese. It's white hardening ick. These are so much tastier with ranch.
I took a second look at the "forgotten cheese" tots and come to discover.... They are resting on a square of leathery orange cheese.
Yuk. So much for my golden bites of heaven.....
I also ordered an extra long coney chili cheese dog. Mine didn't have enough chili or cheese. My BF's was loaded with it. This thing is disgusting.
It even made the cherry slushie taste like crap.
And the service was slow too, considering how un-crowded this place was.
My word of advice.... Keep cruising the 99 and visit a different Sonic!
My first introduction to the wonders of SONIC was here at this Main Street location. What I did to be so blessed as to have a SONIC dropped in my hometown so I could learn of the wonders that are an Extra Long Chili Cheese Coney, Toaster Sandwiches/Burgers, or Tots in either their plain, cheese, or chili cheese variety...I will never know.
For those of you not blessed with a SONIC within driving distance here are the deets. This is a throwback to the days of car hops on rollerskates, tasty burgers, shakes, and banana splits. Think In N Out with Dairy Queen welded together, but way better.
I absofreakinglutelygoddamn love Sonic. After seeing their commercials for years -- YEARS -- and not having any idea where to purchase the delectable drinks seen on TV, FINALLY one is dropped down near my grandparent's house! "Hi Grandpa--happy Father's Day! Let's go get some Sonic!"
Best milkshakes EVER. My most recent was the Chocolate Cream Pie shake--not sure really what makes it pie-like, but my GOD was it good.
I love you, Sonic. Please come to Berkeley and BE MINE.
I love Sonic's but this one BLOWS!
They took their sweet-ass time to answer at the speaker, then they served up some ice-cold "fries."
I'm bummed they closed the one on Monte Vista- it was MUCH better.
Oh, and try the mac'n'cheese fried things. Sofa king good.
So I finally ended up at a Sonic and got some food. I had to proclaim this as the last Sonic I tried in Clovis totally ignored me, so I left. So we drive up and ordered. I asked for their basic burger w/ cheese, but they somehow managed to leave the cheese off; oh well, I ordered chili cheese fries to go with it, so I got my cheese fix after all. The hubby orderd a double jalepeno burger and a side of onion rings. The onion ring order was huge! The burgers were very tasty, much like a home-made burger. Loads of lettuce, tomato and onion. I might even give my local Sonic a second chance.
To be honest i'm getting sick of Sonics. Its like they train their people to make you hate it. Ive waited for service before and had to just leave. And if you do get them to answer you have to wait forever! I waited 15-20 minutes just for shakes! If you do order food I will guarantee you will hate it! I loved sonics when i was out on the east coast, but alot was lost in the establishment of the franchise here!
I've seen Sonic commercials for years and always wondered, "where da heck can we find one?" Well, on the way to Yosemite, we found one. This turned out to be a good halfway break point for us coming from San Jose to get a meal. It's unique from the other fast food restaurants we're used to here in the Bay Area now (In and Out, Mickey D's, Taco Bell, KFC, etc.).....good selection of burgers and other stuff and breakfast meals are served all day. Sonic also has quite an extensive list of intriguing drinks to order.
My amigos and I were so deprived of Sonic in the bay area, we ended up going to two locations for lunch then dinner on the same day! Since we were in the area, we had to take advantage! That's LOVE for Sonic yo! LOL! Ordered lunch at this location. Had the popcorn chicken with tater tots (Last time I had them was in high school!) and ordered a huge Oreo shake! Definitely added on extra calories in my system but it was so damn good! I didn't care!
Excellent fast food, but I can't give fast food more than 3 stars. It's excellent for what it is: good burgers, good hot-dogs, good milkshakes and smoothies, etc. So, this earns high marks for a fast food restaurant. If you are on a tight schedule and want an excellent burger, this place will deliver.
