This is a really fun show at possibly the best comedy venue in the world.

Recent highlights: Moshe Kasher's CD taping a couple weeks ago was awesome. The band Easystreet's performance a week or 2 before that was hysterical. The singer was dancing all over the room and climbing on the tables. He literally went around and high-fived every person in the room.

Great comedy show in the best comedy venue in SF.  It's good local comics, plus some videos and sketch comedy mixed in, and the whole thing closes with a live band.  Chad Lehrman and Justin Lamb, some of the comics behind SFStandup.com and the sketch group SPF7, have combined forces to create a comedy juggernaut, kind of like when the Ghostbusters crossing the streams to destroy Mr. Stay Puft, the Marshmallow Man.  What I'm saying is, you might get splattered with marshmallow, but you're gonna have a good time.  And if someone asks you if you're a god, you say yes!

It's only eight bucks, and you're out of there before 10 - perfect Wednesday night entertainment.

San Francisco is known for many things such as class, beauty, and history. SFStandup.com Presents "Something People like" mixes in everything San Francisco is about and douses in an abundance of laughter. It's a weekly show featuring absolutely the most original and funniest comedians the best city in the world has to offer.

On top of that, Purple Onion, the venue is a historic landmark that was one of the front runners in the wave of great comedians in the 60' onward. Among the comedy revolutionaries who performed here are Woody Allen, Phyllis Diller, Lenny Bruce and newer greats such Zach Galifianakis and Doug Stanhope.

If you love to laugh and enjoy great comedy, there is no reason not to catch a show at the "Something People Like" show produced by the Chad Lehrman and Justin Lamb. This is truly a venue that any comedy fan would love to see a show at and all comedians would love to perform in.

Whenever I go to the Purple Onion, I always take in the moment and try to have the ghosts of comedy past overtake me. There is no better feeling than knowing that you are in the same place as great comedians who broke barriers; except maybe breaking some yourself.

This show is young, alternative comedians with a local band closing out every night. It has a very cool vibe to it- sort of the city's answer to LA's Comedy Death Ray. Come out, well worth it.

Justin Lamb (SPF 7) and Chad Lehrman (sfstandup.com) assemble the best local stand-up comics (May 28th Candy Churilla of Last Comic Standing) in the Bay Area in this legendary venue.  If you've never been to the Purple Onion, there's no better time to check it out than May 28th when Candy Churilla (youtube.com/candychurilla) is scheduled to perform.  Seriously, if you've never been to the Purple Onion, you're stupid.

Went to this show last Wednesday and it was awesome!  I laughed my a** off!  Gotta love the Purple Onion...it's a great place to see stand up.  If you've never been, you HAVE to check it out.

The night I went, there were several great comedians, a really funny video sketch from SPF7, and even a band afterwards!  I defintely recommend "Something People Like" cuz it gives you something to do on a Wednesday night...and you still get home early enough so you can get up for work the next day.  I give it two opposable thumbs up!
