Nancy Solomon is one of the most energetic and enthusiastic gallery owners I have come across recently in the Atlanta art scene.

Her gallery is not ridiculously huge, but the artwork is carefully selected and reflects a forward-thinking sensibility. The show currently on display features photography, printmaking, video installation, sculpture, photo installation, architectural models, furniture and lighting fixtures. In-cred-i-ble!

In addition to the works of fabulous art on the walls, Solomon also books guest speakers, musicians, film screenings and poetry readings to parallel the works in each collection. Check out their website, especially if you love experiencing culture and art for free.

The lectures also feature delicious catered vegetarian lunch from local fave Metrofresh - so be sure to sign up on their website, as attendance is capped at around 30 people per event.

Solomon Projects totally rocks my artsy little world!

Solomon Projects is one of my favorite galleries in Atlanta because Nancy Solomon, the owner has an incredible eye for art and has a open mind for experimental avante garde artists. Her exhibitions are well thought out and designed. It's hard to tell that this is a commercial gallery since Nancy likes a lot of conceptual art as well. There is so much crap out there in commercial galleries. I don't understand the appeal of commercial mass art. Solomon Projects is one of those few galleries that have not gone the Deljou route and started selling art for model homes and hotels. I also appreciate that the gallery is in Midtown.
