Solo - Chuan Ba (Skewer Bar) recently opened right in Chinatown. Solo is a small restaurant with just a bar top and some chairs and all they serve are meat skewers! I've always been a fan of meats on sticks. I actually had the idea of opening up a skewer bar here in Philadelphia a couple years back. I guess they beat me to the punch!

Solo though is exactly what I imagined a skewer bar to be. Inside is fairly trendy decor with Chinese Pop KTV playing on a big flat screen hanging on the wall. They serve various types of skewers including but not limited to lamb, beef, chicken, tofu, fishballs, squid, shrimp and they also serve corn on the cob and Chinese man tou (a type of chinese roll/bread). Most of the skewers are all a $1 dollar or $2 so get as many as you like!

I've always been a big fan of lamb so I always get the lamb skewers made spicy. The skewers are grilled with cumin and spices, very Chinese style. I definitely recommend getting one of each with a friend!!
