I've been to this place a few times and had good, courteous service each time - I think a couple runs the place and the gentleman is a lot friendlier than the woman - but generally I've had pleasant experiences there.
On my most recent visit they repaired two holes in my favorite pair of pants and I was stunned by the quality of the repair. I was resigned to the idea that the pants might not be salvageable - but thought I'd give it a try. They are as good as new and the repair is completely undetectable.
Cleaning has also been good quality - I don't think I've gone in with any terrible stains yet - so no stain miracles to report - but good laundering and dry cleaning so far.
I work around the corner from here. Had a minor disaster one morning when I placed my coffee on an unstable surface and it ended up all over my top. It is cotton but marked as "professional cleaning only." I dropped it off for cleaning about an hour after I had this spill and showed the man who worked there the spot. I asked him to please help try to get it out (I really like this top).
I picked it up today and it didn't look like anyone even tried to get it out. I've spilled wine on this same top before and it came out no problem. It also stinks like dry cleaning solution.
I am a little bit upset I dropped it off here because I feel it is less likely to come out now that it's been cleaned poorly.
I absolutely do not recommend to take anything here that you care about.

Ok, first off, it's not cheap. They charge $1 per pound. But, they are the only not-crazy people in soho who do free pick-up, delivery. They are also super fast. We usually get everything back same day--even when we send 120lbs. They are cash only.
Oh and they do a great job. All my roommates use them.
