The best furniture store I have visited in Richmond. We went there after touring 5 other furniture stores and loved it. We actually designed our sofa and chair ourselves with the help of Sunny and Ed. Received with 5 weeks. I couldn't believe it. I'm just so happy with our purchases from there. We sent a friend there also and him and his wife bought furniture that same day. It is a small family owned business which I love to support. The prices are great and the warranty on the furniture is outstanding. Try them please. You won't regret it.

I'm not a very smooth writer but I had to post this because I do rely on others so I felt like It was my duty to pay it back to others.
I bought a couch from this family owned business 19 years ago and that couch held up like the day I bought it. The owner and both his kids (adults ) work there and they are the nicest people!!!!!
It's just so darn nice to go k to a place where they generally look forward to helping you. They are so knowledgeable about the products where it comes from and they do support American made products.
You know I could go on and on about how great this place is but do yourself a favor if you're looking for a sofa rugs any kind of home Decore it looks small from the outside but once you go inside you'll see it is packed full with couches that you can try and sit on and you have a ton of fabrics that you can choose to pick and put on the couch. So do yourself a favor it looks small on the outside but it's packed full of awesome customer service and really really good prices and like I said the couches that they get are from well-known made companies.
I just went back in after 19 years to buy four more couches.

We purchased a sleep sofa, recliner sofa and a chair from them about 6 years ago. Ed was very friendly and helpful, so we returned to purchase a recliner and per Ed was the best on the market with the best warranty, after about 18 months the seat cushion had collapsed and was very uncomfortable. Called the store and he would only replace the cushion and I had to pay for install which I agreed. Their rep. would never call me back to schedule the work and Ed did not seem to care and was not interested in helping in any way, nice customer support. In my opinion they are typical furniture store, promise you the world and do not follow thru after you leave. NEVER AGAIN!!! Buy at your own RISK

Popped in here on a whim, as we are contemplating new living room furniture. I was greeted by a gentlemanly sales guy who directed me to the perfect sectional, based on my abstract description of what I was searching for. While the couch would be perfect for my space, it's a little pricier than I'm hoping to spend. Looked high quality and I'm sure it's worth the extra. The store is jam packed with furniture. Unfortunately, I got a call and had to leave before seeing much else. I'll try and get back by there when I have time to explore.

The Sofa Design team has gone above and beyond in impeccable service. We wanted to purchase an attractive and (most importantly) durable sofa and settee that would last our family a long time. We patiently looked for years. When I saw the simple and streamlined sofa I had been looking for, I was excited. When the Ed's informed me on how well it was constructed I was even more excited. On top of that, they're made in N. Carolina! Sold. I had a large assortment of fabrics to choose from and I almost went with a stunning fabric that me and my husband loved but we were informed that although it would look beautiful, it's not going to hold up for years. We ended up choosing the most durable fabric the factory uses and we couldn't have been happier. The sofas were delivered to us flawlessly and we can now happily say we love them and we got that errand finally checked off our list!

1st experience: Loved how knowledgeable the salesman was (owners son), but they are rather pricey (won't haggle), although quality was great. Found my favorite sofa here. 4/5 star experience

2nd experience: Returned to discuss purchasing the sofa, yet couldn't find anyone in the store to talk to. 15 minutes later, I had to search the back room for an employee who started off saying that she didn't know what she was doing bc she's part-time, & to come back 4 days later. She didn't know anything about the product, but interrupted me & called her boss to see if it was OK I was taking a pic of the sofa tag for the dimensions. She was talking about me (20 ft away) like I was a criminal, & my gf wanted to leave before she even got off the phone bc of how unprofessional she was. Left the store disgusted & decided to wait to buy a sofa bc I wouldn't give them business. 0/5 experience if possible.

These guys are great! Purchased a couch a few years ago. One of the throw pillows lost a button. They fixed it in record time, no charge, no questions asked. Highly recommend.

Professional and knowledgeable staff without the high pressure in-your-face annoyance. This store sells quality name brand merchandise. Our experience was exceptional. We ordered exactly what we wanted and it arrived the week promised. The couch (Broyhill) and footstool we purchased are extremely comfortable. Everything is new, so you don't need to special order if you want what you see. We visited half a dozen places before we came across this location. Thank you for a great experience and purchase!

Stopped in today after several weeks of looking at other 'big name' stores. Don't waste your time at other places -- you can spend the exact same amount of money here and get far better quality (and American made!) My fiancee worked in the furniture business some years ago in NC, and he and the owner chatted for a while... it's clear this family owned business knows their stuff.

They sell really well known and high quality brands, and have a great selection with tons of options. I loved their fabric choices, and we're looking for leather, and they sell high quality leather items.

We didn't purchase a sofa yet, but we did pick up a gorgeous side table that was on clearance. We will definitely be back when it's time to buy.
