Review from Harrison G.
Los Angeles, CA
I've had this place on my list since 2009 so I'm glad I finally came here. Went to an early morning Saturday workout nearby with some friends and we decided a big, filling brunch was in order. Who cares if it negated all the exercise we'd just done?
I ordered biscuits and gravy. My friends tried an omelette and the huevos rancheros. The place was pretty crowded but we were seated quickly in the back patio (very tiny, near their parking lot, but still nice with some plants and a fountain). I don't know why I wanted biscuits and gravy so badly but I was not disappointed. The gravy was wonderfully thick and creamy and the biscuits were light and tasty. Came with a side of eggs.
My friends seemed pleased with their meals as well - the huevos rancheros were recommended by our server.
This is a great breakfast/brunch spot and I would like to return. Not knock-you-out-of-your-seat food but it's good, reliable diner fare. -

First time there and I have to thanks fellow yelpers for that. The baked grapefruit was heaven and the side of bacon to start was what you dream about.
The biscuits and gravy fell a bit short for me, but the Zeke's special my friend had looked and tasted great. So many options, I have to go back and sit on that great patio, drink the perfect OJ (and coffee) and try them all. -

This place is wildly popular in this community but I do not quite get the fascination. The place is cute but only a few tables. It really has a nice 1960s diner look. Yet, the food itself is really just so so. Nothing special at all. The ingredients, that I see lined up against the wall is institutional in nature. I mean, the omelet I had today and the other few times was just ordinary at best. So...anything else. Yes, the service is very nice and it really seems to have some cool local folks hanging out but to me, as a somewhat outsider, it just doesn't make it.

A wonderful spot in Santa Monica! I would've never known about this spot but a friend of mine took me here couple of years ago. I work across the street from here, so when I do get a break I would come here around 2pm and it's a bit empty so I get a booth to sit and relax.
The server and busboy are very nice. My water glass is kept full. They attend to my diet needs (no salt, sauce on the side). The portions are plentiful.
I've had their cilantro chicken sandwich $9.50. Delicious! I asked for the sauce on the side, but it was sooo good i was just dipping it with every bite. Really, that cilantro sauce is so good. And I had the yam fries, a big portion of it comes on the side! PERFECT :) It is delicious.
I know there's a patio in the back, I haven't been there but I heard its a nice spot when the weather is nice. & it's usually nice in SM. Def recommend this place for some breakfast. Reasonably priced and good service. And they also have sundaes and ice cream! I haven't tried it yet because I'm always full from my meal, but I would def drop by just for a sundae :) -

This cute diner hit the spot for breakfast on Friday morning. The weather was perfect to sit out on the back patio under an umbrella.
I had the breakfast burrito, which i was only able to finish half, the other half served as breakfast Saturday morning. -

Nice little spot for breakfast. The hollandaise sauce for the eggs benedict has a very tasty citrus flavor. The waitress informed us while ordering that it was made with lemons and oranges.
The Huevos Rancheros was pretty good as well. They also have a selection of sausages you can order on the side. I tried the turkey jalapeno and cheese sausage. It was very good.
Plus fresh squeezed OJ. -

LUNCH REVIEW
My breakfast experience here was okay, but my lunch experience was just plain disappointing.
- Jeff's fries were undercooked. TWICE THEY'VE UNDERCOOKED POTATOES! Fail.... Total Fail.
- My sandwich was stingy. Very little beef in the cheesesteak. It wasn't juicy or particularly cheesy. The side salad was just awful... Wilted lettuce, watery dressing, and just plain bad. For over $10, I was pretty pissed and let down. What's with this city and crappy $10 cheesesteaks?!
- Tara's half soup and sandwich came at two different times. The lobster bisque first, which was rather void of lobster. Regrettably, it was also very thin, too... Shouldn't a bisque have some cream and sherry, or something?! Second came a half a VERY modest (to put it nicely) BLT on a plate. No pickle. No parsley. Really kinda depressing for $9.
I don't plan on rushing back. As a matter of fact, unless someone else is buying, I'm not going back at all. My advice: Make a smaller menu and master those dishes before you venture out to become a "schmuck of all trades and a master of none."Listed in: BEST-a-dict: Eggs Benedict

Totally awesome little spot for breakfast, we sat on the patio under a heat lamp (it was a chilly morning) and were more than fine. It can definitely get busy in here but the staff really does their best to get people seated as quickly as they can. Their menu is pretty extensive and I'm almost certain they can cater to even the pickiest of eaters.
I had biscuits and gravy with eggs and my friend had the scramble of the day with sausage, both were totally excellent and so was our waitress. Would definitely return in future if we're ever on that coast again. -

I like the little spot, and the food was o.k. not fantastic. had the pesto chicken sandwich, and salad. Salad could've been a tad fresher.

It's not a diner, it's not a breakfast place, it looks like both. Very confusing. There aren't very many tables so if you come and it looks busy, move on. There is one table for larger parties.
I have been here a few times. Jason B. introduced me and some of my girlfriends. The food is very good. Like others have mentioned.. the biscuits and gravy are delicious. I haven't had the pancakes but my friends like them.
The eggs Benedict is ok. The hollandaise is lacking. I think a pinch of extra salt and a squeeze of lemon would make it amazing. If you are obsessed with eggs bene you might not want to get it here and save yourself the frustration of knowing you have had better. LOL!
The service is very friendly and fast. Overall, I really love this place. :) -

I've only been to Snug for breakfast, so this review doesn't consider anything on the far side of the menu. Still, the place is fantastic. It is a legitimately old-time diner from the 1940's, complete with the counter and Coca-Cola menu board circa 1950.
The range of the breakfast menu is considerable, everything you could ask for from waffles and cakes, to huevos rancheros, to steak and eggs, to oatmeal and fruit, to lox and bagels. So don't be concerned about finding what you like - unless you're looking for escargot with your toast.
My personal faves are the Florentine Benedict and the Fresco Scramble. Snug makes their own hollandaise sauce that really focuses on the citrus flavors it is delish. Most orders come with country-style potatoes, which are also very good. Snug has a broad range of home made sausages which are excellent. I am a big fan of the chicken cilantro.
I bring family here often and they always go for the omelets. I've never heard a word of doubt or regret about the experience or the quality.
I think my favorite thing about the place is the lack of pretense. Del is always there and always chipper. She seems genuinely interested in making sure everyone has a good experience. Also, the cooks don't mess around. Those guys are expert at the menu and work remarkably fast at producing food that is surprisingly tasty. Otherwise, the decor is basic diner-esque. The focus is the food and people - as it should be.
The space is rather snug, there are booths, the counter, and a few tables. The entire place seats maybe 25 people. I'm an early riser so waiting in line has never been a problem, but I have seen the line and you should try to get there early.
I have no problem recommending Snug Harbor to anyone.
I withhold 1-star only because I've never been here for lunch, and I've never been here when its crazy busy. -

Never had breakfast here, only lunch.
That being said, the Zwiebel Burger is delicious. Try it with the Suzy Q curly fries, the regular fries, or the salad, it doesn't matter! Meat of your choice.
Only complaint is that it is a bit expensive.
PROTIP: Eat out in the back for some nice shade and air. -

Came on a Saturday morning, Jan 15, 2011
Don't get the wrong impression with the 3-star review -- I liked this place! My friend wanted to go to the beach, so I quickly searched for "best breakfast" in Santa Monica. This one popped up, and off we went.
Parking was a bit of a drag, and I was kindly warned my truck would be towed by the crazy owner of the jewelry store (or was it art, or something) if I took up the spot that clearly marked it was for patrons of the store. There was another spot for Snug Harbor patrons, but it was a tight fit.
We were promptly seated in the back patio, which had enough shade to make you forget you're sitting by a tiny alley parking lot. There was a blackboard with the specials, and I have a thing for those... except I had a craving for biscuits and gravy more.
The orange juice is squeezed, but I find it's often a hit-or-miss affair, as the oranges themselves might not be very sweet... and mine wasn't this time =(
The biscuits and gravy was also a bit disappointing. I'm still searching for a place to emulate my experience at Stacks (in SF), where my mouth had an orgasm as soon as the gravy hit my tongue. I was also disappointed with the bacon, though it was a nice thick slice. I mean, it was good, but I still left a strip after the meal. The egg was poached nicely though.
Myy friend loved her breakfast (I forgot which omelette).
Would I recommend this place to you, or my friends? Sure, if you're in the area.
Oh, and conversations can easily be overheard by fellow patrons if you're sitting in the back patio. -

I love this place. Genuine and low key, they deliver good food with good service. I found myself literally flipping a coin to decide between the half dozen options I was torn over. My super friendly waitress, Tiffany, came up and decided to help me out by asking me some quick questions (diet, hunger level) and I walked away with a pretty good veggie burger (veggie patties tend to be meh at best, the Susie Qs were pretty tasty though).
The atmosphere was terrific. I never felt like looking at my phone. I grabbed a paper and read ink on paper, never feeling rushed despite a looming deadline. It was an appreciated reality check. -

I like it. It's hard to find a breakfast spot in Santa Monica that a) offers classic breakfast choices and b) does not add an extra $2 to everything because you're only a mile from the ocean. Snug Harbor gets how to make a hot familiar breakfast for a fair price.
We planned on going to Bread and Porridge, but after seeing that they charge $2 for toast with your two-egg omelette, that was out of the question.
The waitresses at Snug Harbor were sweet as pie. We had two little ones in our party. They brought toast and milk out right away for the kiddies, making us feel like we were as welcome there as at Grandma's. We sat on the back patio, which was spacious and shaded.
Everyone had an egg dish of some kind. The cook heeded my warning that my omelette had to be extremely well done. It was just what I wanted. They doled out a generous portion of their fruit salad on the side too. Any other restaurant in the area would charge double the price for it. I also thought the strawberry jam was a stand-out.
I hadn't been out to breakfast in over a month due to too many sub par experiences. Thanks, Snug Harbor, you reminded me that it can be done right. -

I vouch this is the original classic diner that all the new throwback diners are based on. -

Best breakfast in Southern California. When you get there you will probably see a small crowd waiting already. But they move quick and the wait usually isn't more than 15 or 20 minutes. And it is so worth it. Everything I've ever had there has been fresh, tasty and a huge portion. Even the coffee is good and not stale stuff that tastes like it has been burning for hours. Get the baked grapefruit to start. You will love this place and keep coming back.

Went on a Saturday around 10:30am. Pretty crowded but the wait was only about 5-10 mins.
Basic breakfast and lunch stuff. Lots of great specials on the little chalkboard that I'd definitely try in the future.
I had a super predictable 2 eggs scrambled with bacon, home fries, and an english muffin. Perfect amount of food and reasonable prices. Can't recall what my friend got but it was one of the specials.
The OJ is super pulpy (bonus if you like it that way, which I do, but pulp haters would have disliked it a lot).
The coffee could be stronger/better.
Sat on the back patio.
It's walking distance from a friends' new place so perhaps I'll be back soon! -

Santa Monica, CA
Not quite a diner, not quite a Wilshire brunch place, but definitely worth a visit.
My wife and I finally went to Snug Harbor, hearing about its "down-home" cooking. We decided to throw our calorie caution to the wind and go for a breakfast akin to the ones we'd get in rural Virginia.
I guess I learned more about what Angelinos call "down-home" or "comfort" cooking than anything. There isn't a plethora of country-style breakfast staples, but everything is hearty and eats like a full meal, something that some area brunch spots can't claim. On the other hand, there wasn't anything novel on the menu that would get me talking. That said, everything was flavorful and definitely a good value. Service was great: friendly, attentive, always-full water glasses, quick turnover/short wait without feeling rushed.
I guess the best way to say it is that Snug Harbor is a great breakfast place: come expecting well-prepared eggs/pancakes/griddle meat for a good price. It's not a "country kitchen," or even "diner," and I don't think it's trying to be. It's different enough from the things around it to occupy a special place for those looking for a real breakfast that isn't from a greasy-spoon or trendy brunchery.
Pretty sure I just invented that word. -

Love that you can make any omelet or scramble into a breakfast burrito. Amazing. I got the artichoke omelet made in a b-fast burrito and it was BOMB. My friends tried the Cilantro Chicken Sandwich and enjoyed that.
Overall, cute/tasty new place to try if you've exhausted your regular westside brunch spots. :) -

This place is walking distance from my work. It's a good rainy day spot when we don't feel like driving to Souplantation.
I always get the sweet potato fries, just because I can't resist, but they're not too good...They're not crispy...always a little overdone and charred.
Tuna sandwich and grilled cheese are yummy... -

Rating 4.5
The almost-perfect solo breakfast joint.
Came here after church and was planning on heading to Bread & Porridge, but then I saw Snug Harbor...what's that cute joint?
As I was entering the joint, there was a brunette b*tch who was going to trample on me because she wanted to beat me signing in on the wait list. Little did she know, I was by myself and there was an empty seat at the counter, so I got seated before her. :p People.
'Nuf about her and more about Snug Harbor. This little diner is ADORABLE. It's tiny so don't come here with a big group ( 4 or less pp only). I was surprised to find out that this placed opened back during WWII! Wow! How come I didn't know about it? Oh yeah..I don't hang out on the west side. The counter seating area is tight. I apologize for those who sat next to me --did not mean to keep bumping into you. They should really put hooks underneath the counter, so we can hang our purse.
Since eggs benedict is their speciality, I just had to order it..and it's actually almost perfect! The lemon juice was the right amount...maybe they need to put less butter in the hollandaise sauce? The potatoes were not bad either but I had only room for the e.b. I wished I read Holly W's review before I ordered the coffee, because wow, the OJ woke me up more than the coffee --pretty tasty and worth it!
I like it how the "kitchen" is in front of you; you get to see all the food coming out. Their omelette is not the folded type but more of a hodgepodge. I need to try their special artichoke omelette and malt next time. The person sitting next to me thought the pancake was "too doughy." It smelled pretty good to me! Oh, and service was great!
I spent around $22 ($10 for e.b. and $6 for coffee & OJ). It's a little pricey..but Snug Harbor is a must!Listed in: I love Brunch!, I Heart Eggs Benedict!

Review from Tom E.
A 1950s diner that reminded me I'm glad I don't live in the 1950s.
The interior is simple but gorgeous - a real classic look that is clean, inviting and chic. Red painted wood, off-white walls and dark green leather.
After that the menu is quite simple but inviting too - classics galore, nothing fancy but all sounding like honest good food.
But where does it fall-down? The long lines for an average brunch? I wouldn't know - I came for a weekday lunch.
For me it fell down at the food. For 10 dollars I got grilled cheese sandwich (which came with fries) and an Arnold Palmer. And that's precisely what I got... nothing but that... a plain boring small grilled cheese sandwich, a bunch of crappy fries and the drink. Just like in the 1950s - no thought for dressings, side salads or any fancy 21st century shit. Is that a good thing? I guess when you're hungover on a saturday morning it could be, but I think I see why we've progressed away from that for the other 6 days a week.
Kill me for it - but I'm a 21st Century Boy. -

Met an old friend for brunch at Snug Harbor today. I have to say, this was THE perfect place to grab some food and catch up. This place is small and cozy with cute little booths. The waitress was super nice and so was the rest of the staff.
I ordered the Eggs Florentine and I think that's what I minus the star for. Maybe I'm just not used to the lemon in the hollandaise, but I wasn't really into it. These 2 cute older women asked me what I ordered and ended up ordering the same and came back to tell me it was spectacular. My potatoes though were EXCELLENT. I definitely can't wait to come back here for an omelet or biscuits and gravy!! -

I gave this place 3 stars. Some may think this just means average. But I'd still come back to this place, based on my first experience here.
I went here on a Sunday. Perfect LA weather. My roommate and I wanted to get brunch/lunch before heading out to Will Rogers SB. We were first going to drop by California Chicken Cafe, but didn't realize it'd be closed!
So we decided to walk down the street and go into the first place that looked good. Luckily we decided on Snug Harbor. My roommate had the Cilantro Chicken Sandwich. It was really good (I tried a bite of course. I wanted to get the same thing originally). It's a little spicy and makes for an interesting sandwich. I want to "try it again" next time I go here. :P
I had a special omelette called Mama Mia. I was a little apprehensive given the recall on eggs, but figured they knew what they were doing. And I couldn't pass up on an omelette with goat cheese, tomatoes, basil and garlic! mmm it was definitely very good. Sad I didn't try to jam, seeing as here some people recommend it.
Anyway, I think I'd try this place again even though I'm spoiled by good cafes near my apartment like Amandine -
Review from Holly W.
Snug Harbor is what greasy breakfasts are made of - and I mean that in a good way!
How can you not love diner food? 3 egg omelette, sides of bacon served up extra crispy, coffee in those diner-type mugs...what more could you ask for? A lot more! I'm a fan of adding a short stack to my omelette-bacon combo, and then counter seating allows you to watch them grill it all up before your eyes.
Interestingly, one of the Snug Harbor standouts is actually the Orange Juice - freshly squeezed. You'll pay around $3 per tall glass, but trust me - it's worth every sip. I had my first glass of Snug Harbor OJ after one hell of a night down the street at Q's - yes, those college days. I thought my life force was being poured back into my bloodstream, infiltrating my bones at that very moment. On that day, I racked up nearly a $12 bar tab on OJ alone! But on the flip side, I have it on good authority that they allow you to "bring your own champagne" out back to make mimosas with that very same OJ! Now that's a delicious multi-purpose OJ if I ever tasted one!
Note that their wait time can (and will most likely be) horrendous on the weekends. This is a small diner, folks. But do like I do and grab that counter seating - it might save you 10-15 minutes. After all, counter seating at a diner is what it's all about. -
Review from Adam S.
Los Angeles, CA
Snug Harbor is like that roommate in college who was always willing to cook, but wasn't really good at it, but you ate his food anyways cause you were to high/hungover to make it yourself. Snug harbor is back to the basics breakfast, a small menu of omelets, egg dishes, short stacks, sandwiches and burgers, nothing even remotely adventurous.
Everything tasted exactly how it looked, the home fries had clearly been sitting idle all morning, waiting for someone to order them, but i guess that's standard at an old school diner.
I understand some people feel nostalgia towards places like this, but for the price your paying ($9 for a fried egg inside a piece of bread,) you could get a little better quality food or ambiance. Nice place, but i cant see myself coming back anytime soon. -

Santa Monica, CA
Hell yeah, this place is great.
A friend recommended it to take my parents who were in town and wanted a brunch spot. As a rule of thumb, I don't order things that I can easily cook on my own. Therefore, I rarely go out for brunch/breakfast because I'm pretty skilled in the kitchen. However, this is one of the few places that will put anybody's omelet to shame and make you pleased that you decided to venture out for a tasty brunch.
You can't go wrong...unless you don't have patience and don't want to wait for a table. I haven't been there on a weekend, but I've heard it is a mob house...since I hate waiting in lines, I'll stick to the weekdays. -

Love this place! Love this place! Love this place!
I don't think it's been redone since the 40's when it opened.
Original counter and art deco details.
Best biscuits and gravy I have ever had and I'm from the South.
Also the chocolate cake shake is literally vanilla ice cream blended with a piece of chocolate cake. Brilliant!!!
Only open until 3pm though so hit it early. -

Friendly, cheerful staff - always a good start to a meal.
Basic American diner food with a little Mexican influence in some items.
But the soda comes from a CAN. No fountain fizz....
I hate canned soda.

So I'll stick to breakfast, hold the soda, bring on the coffee....or maybe a nice milkshake. -

Los Angeles, CA
Great little diner at which to nurse a hangover. If you aren't in a rush then my advice is to wait for a table on the back patio... scratch that, don't go to Snug Harbor if you're in a rush, because there is always a wait. It usually goes pretty quickly, but it is a tiny little restaurant. So anyways, back to my point... wait for a seat on the back patio, very quaint and pleasant.
They always have some interesting specialties. The quality of ingredients is fine, if not top notch, and things have from time to time come out with more cheese than anything else, but the prices are reasonable and the menu is interesting.
I usually go for the chorizo scramble... delicious, but ask them to go light on the cheese... I like cheese as much as the next Joe, but I want some cheese with my eggs and chorizo, not some eggs and chorizo with my cheese... if ya know what I'm sayin.
Service is always cheery, which is a bonus in the morning on a weekend... the LAST thing I want to deal with is some bitchy waiter/waitress. You aren't an actor/actress yet dearest...
So I'm giving 4 stars. Good prices and service, good (not great) food, nice and chill atmosphere. -

This is a pretty typical diner spot and has a old-school feel to it. Comfort food for myself. Came in for some late brunch. I ordered the deuce deuce deuce breakfast (Two pancakes, 2 bacon, 2 eggs), but I should have ordered an omelette. I shared my friends... it consisted of polish sausage, onions, and red peppers. It was good! The potatoes are good too! Never understood why "fresh squeezed" orange juice is so expensive...?!
You might be able to find some parking in the back. Watch out for the trash bins! -

We go here because we have a grudge against Bread and Porridge and how they don't let you have your dogs around.
I ordered the artichoke omelet and my husband, the Italian scramble. Its pedestrian and mass produce food. It isn't bad but its not spectacular.
I will say, their strawberry jam on our table was very delicious. I saw that other tables had different flavors. The jam with their sourdough was probably the best part.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. There are other breakfast places on the Westside that are better. -

Santa Monica, CA
The key to happiness at this place is coming earlier than 11am on weekends. After that the wait gets really long and you'll get cranky. Other than that, Snug Harbor, which has been around since 1941, is a great breakfast/brunch experience.
The service is the best part. The hosts and servers are all so friendly and warm. Our waitress this morning took time out of her busy routine to have a little conversation with us, without being too in our face. The perfect amount of attention.
The food is homestyle comfort food, including biscuits and gravy, pancakes and great scrambles. Today I had a bit of a hard time because I didn't feel like anything heavy, but I was more than happy with my large fresh squeezed orange juice and wonderful cinnamon raisin toast. My boyfriend had one of the specials, a scramble with chicken sausage, which was out of this world. One thing: I so wish more diners, including Snug Harbor, would offer hash browns on the side instead of, or in addition to, homestyle potatoes. I just love them so much more.
The interior of the diner is cozy and authentic, with great black and white photos lining the walls and a baseball game playing on TV. On warmer days we love to sit outside in the back patio. -

This place is decent. Don't get me wrong, I like a greasy breakfast as much as the next janitor, and Snug Harbor is just that.
I haven't been back for a while, because frankly for the price, I'd rather eat at Bread and Porridge. But thankfully I no longer frequent the slow destructive hell that is Brentwood/Santa Monica. -

This place is terrible. Me and my girlfriend went here once, and the only reason we went here was that the line at Bread & Porridge was like 40+ mins, so we decided to try out this place.
The food was really really bland. They didn't have a big selection for breakfast, and the food didn't taste like anything.
I get the concept of snug harbor, but the decor was like whatever. The service wasn't that great. I honestly would never come back here. I would rather wait over one hour and go to Bread & Porridge. -
Review from Shar C.
Los Angeles, CA
The service here was not great for my large party, unfortunately. Me and some gal friends were trying to have a nice brunch together, and of course we didn't all show up at the same time. Snug Harbor has a policy of not letting people in until the whole party is there, even though we could see several free tables inside. The explanation given was that they didn't want to make the kitchen start the orders for our table at different times.
So after a few minutes our whole party arrives, we try to go in, and of course now they have no tables, having given them to small parties of 2 while we were waiting for all 6 of us to show. We're on the verge of going somewhere else when they say that a patio table is available.
This lovely table is quite small for 6, and is on a rather severe slant so our glasses slide down it.
I will say that the outside staff was pleasant, and the food was all right.
However, our official waitress rushed us and tried to assign herself a tip from the credit card on the check rather than letting us leave a tip at the table.
Maybe this place is nice if you're a party of 2, but I would definitely not recommend it for a mid-size or large group. -

Pretty small on the inside, but we were seated on the back patio almost right away. I would probably just sit at the counter inside next time, the patio was small and kind of dingy.
Ordered a scramble with chicken sausage, mushrooms, and bell peppers, which was average. It came with prebuttered toast and homestyle fries, which were average as well.
The french toast, on the other hand, was bomb diggity drowned in syrup. -

Snug Harbor - what an evocative name, right? It sounds like a safe haven, a respite from the world, ready to snuggle you in its bosom and hand-feed you a delicious breakfast or lunch. The atmosphere here does feel very comforting, but I'm sad to say that the food never quite lives up to my expectations. Yesterday I was here for a late lunch. I seemed to remember being happy with the tuna melt, so I ordered that, but it was completely bland despite having the bonus avocado factor. It was basically a sandwich made up of tasteless, colorless components with a little dash of green for color. (Maybe I should have ordered the thing on rye rather than the default white bread, but still, the onus should not be on me to make my food taste like something.) And my yam fries (something I normally adore) just laid there limply in a sad greasy pile.
I do like the service here, and the décor is great for this type of place -- comfy booths, avocado-and-pale-yellow walls, retro photos -- but I've had too many "meh" meals here to endorse it.
