17 reviews for Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Co
We will definitely be stopping back here next time we are in the area.
This brewpub has a laid-back, casual feel - perfect for us. All of the beers were top-notch, and the food we tried was great. Our table got pizza, salads, and nachos, and there were zero complaints. The pizza especially far exceeded our expectations. We also thought the service was good.
There's not too much more I can say - this is just your standard great PacNW brewery!
Whenever I go East side is cuz the guy's fam lives in Yakima & Richland which means A LOT of driving. Thus- no time for detours. So I was thrilled that we took a mini getaway to the east side to actually check out the sights.
While checking out the falls, it seemed natural to check out another sort of waters. We stepped into the cool concrete floored, lofty, TINY, restaurant space. It was much smaller then expected, but I liked the no frills interior & exterior. We picked up some sandwiches & the sampler ( I love how everything seems so cheap after Seattle).
Our sampler routine is to start light to dark & I don't think that was such a hot idea for this selection. There were several Pale Ales (aka Summer ale) that all seemed to mesh into each other upon tasting and totally pummeled the hefeweizen. The beers were also more yeasty then I usually prefer, but all said and done i was pleased with the selection, the Porter, the IPA, and the amount of changing beers on tap.
The sandwiches were AWESOME! I got something with pepperoni, artichoke heart, tapenade, etc and was really pleased. The guy's Rueben was also stand out. Excellent bread, with innards that just seemed soft & rich. Plus they came with baked beans that were amazing sweet.
If we ever detour again, this will be a standard stop.
Usually a brewpub is the best place to get to know a brewery's selections, get a little insider info on their brewing process and maybe have a good meal if you're lucky. Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Co. has all of that on paper, but the reality is much less interesting.
Their beers are always above average, if a little on the conventional side. Every pint I tried I liked but nothing really knocked me out. The seasonal Summer beer I tried was hoppy and refreshing and the Steam Train Porter is solid and reliable but neither were as good as some of their other seasonal one-offs, like the excellent Avalanche Winter Ale. Our server was knowledgeable about the kind of beer available but not well versed in describing the flavors or uniqueness of each brew.
The restaurant is underwhelming both inside and out, looking more like a lunch counter with a few tables than a pub. Our server was pleasant but once the rest of my party left I hung on for some additional beer tasting and basically got ignored from then on. Everything was fine until the lunch-rush packed the place, then they were clearly overwhelmed.
The food is very lunch-counter and just so-so (although we didn't try these nachos other reviewers have raved about.) I tried the "Grayson's Creation" hummus sandwich which was toasted but ended up dry, brittle, and light on hummus so I can't recommend it. Nobody in my party was really crazy about the food, we just all agreed it, like the service, was...meh. The locals seemed to lap it up but I haven't really checked out the competition in the small "old town" district around the corner so for all I know this place may be the hotspot.
If you're in Snoqualmie for the day and you're craving a micro-brew then go for the bar, drink your fill and skip the restaurant. If you're looking for a charming out-of-town destination brew pub, this ain't it.
The brewpub is small, but so is the town it occupies. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow, due to an apparent lack of staff. Nonetheless, when it comes to beer, whether it be their IPA , one of their stouts or another selection the establishment delivers quality brews. The food is not as impressive as the ale, but its better than fair. I definitely recommend having a pint or two if you're in the neighborhood.
Butternut squash ale - need I say more! The Harvest ale is also very good. I like this place, good pub food and great beer. It's very casual and low key. A great place to stop after a hike in the area!
Snoqualmie Falls definitley has great beer on tap, but during our recent visit here, I felt like I was at Chucky Cheese. Granted it was Father's Day, I do remember previous visits here being packed with little kids as well.
Anyway, the beer here is great and I always look forward to the spring and summer ales. The nachos here are actually some of the best in the Pacific Northwest in my opinion. Definitely come here if you want to fill up a couple growlers or are craving nachos.
This is one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat in Snoqualmie. The sandwiches are tasty. They aren't the most amazing sandwiches I have ever had in my life, but they are consistently pretty good. They come with a pickle and either beans, coleslaw, or chips. I find the coleslaw to be a bit bland and usually opt for the beans which are slightly sweet and have a pleasant beery bitterness to it. The nachos, if you get the large, super size of nachos are HUGE. Lots of cheese, good amount of topping. I wish they gave some salsa with it. It would easily feed 3-4 people of moderate appetite. As for their beverages, I can't speak for the beers since I'm not a huge beer fan, but I absolutely love their rootbeer. The rootbeer is awesome and probably the main reason we go back.
This is one of my personal favorite breweries in the area. They have a very solid lineup of brews, plus some delicious food to go with it.
As far as the beer goes, I will always order the Irish Oatmeal stout while I'm at the brewery. It is one of the most delicious brews in the area, and is only available in the taproom. You unfortunately can't take that one home in a growler either :( the curse of nitro beers..... I've tasted or drank a pint of all of their regular brews, and can say they are all quite good, with no real complaints. No matter what style you prefer, they have one for you.
The food from their relatively simple food menu is delicious. The brewery goddess grinder (sandwich) is my absolute favorite, being one of the best sandwiches I've had since I left the east coast. I wish more places used hot cappicola . I've also had some of their pizzas, which have exceeded my expectations each time. The kitchen is small and simple, but they use what they have very well. No fryers or grease to be found here.
The pub is more of a taproom with a small kitchen. It's kind of a warehouse with tables, and things hanging on the wall. It works though, so I'm not complaining too much. The service is pretty unpredictable, and seems to depend on who's working. The short, squeeky voice waittress always does a fine job, the others I've been less impressed with. It's also worth pointing out that I've had many a trip in there ruined by parents with out of control children coming in. Seriously lady, if you let your screaming, brat toddler throw something at my table one more time.... i swear to god... i'll... write about it on the internet or something
anyways.... yay beer
Noooooooooom nom nom for the Oatmeal Stout on nitro! Wish I could take that tap home with me. Love their sandwiches too, although I tried one of their hot dogs last time and it also did NOT suck at all.
I would say my biggest/only complaints are that it's in Snoqualmie (location), it's in Snoqualmie (always kids night at the brewery), and the service is a little lackadaisical for my liking. I will still go for the stout though. :)
I talked about going here to my fiance as we were hiking at Snoqualmie Falls. The promise of an ice cold brew helped to motivate me on the hike back up.
We arrived at the brewing co. and took a seat. the server gave us a menu...and then forgot about us for about 10 minutes. We were getting irritated and almost ready to leave when she looked over and remembered that she had a table. We were offered a free beer (which we didn't get, but that wasn't her fault) and proceeded to order.
I ordered the Copperhead Nitro (creamy and delicious) and he ordered the Oatmeal Stout Nitro (omg, I wish I had ordered that instead.) I'm not one for really dark beers, but the stout was delicious, creamy and almost chocolaty tasting, not smokey and overpowering at all. We ordered the Texas Caviar to eat (huge basket of tortilla chips with the dip which consisted of corn, black beans, tomatoes, onions and jalapenos).
We wanted a growler of something to go and were disappointed that we couldn't get the Nitro brews (*sniffle*). The waitress let us sit at the bar and take little tastes of the beers to help us decide on what we wanted. We tried the Summer Beer (kind of hoppy, I really enjoyed it and he didn't); the Steam Train Porter (way too smokey and dark for me, he enjoyed it but didn't want a whole growler of it); and the PGA (Perfectly Great Amber) which we both agreed on was the tastiest of what we had tried.
The bartender cashed us out instead of the waitress (hence the loss in the free beer) and we were on our way.
The food was good, the beer was good, and the service was decent. Will definitely stop in for another beer when I'm in the area.
Can you say Hot Sauce? or BEER?
Holy shit was I impressed with this joint! Great sandwiches, come loaded with meats, jalepenos, onions, cheddar, green chiles.. the works.
They have a "daily special" everyday which consists of the cook's choice of a sandwhich, bun, wrap, whatever--
We came on a great day becasue for $5.99 we got this amazing open faced sandwich with shredded spicy chicken, loaded with onions and jalepenos, topped with melted cheddar cheese. Could i ask for anything more? Not really.
If you are hot sauce obsessed like I am, they had a whole row (A WHOLE FUCKING ROWW!!!) dedicated to Hot sauces galore! Specialty ones that I definitley have not even seen before. It was glorious.
And, to make it even better? BEER.
8-10 different beers on tap. and I noticed people taking beer home in these great glass gallon jugs, for the people that are on their way up to the mountain, or camping, or well, just going home after a long day. What a system.
Overall, I was just really impressed with the quality of their food, beer and service, so I think we are going to have to make it a tradition to stop here when we are running around this neck of the woods.
There's not much to the place in terms of ambiance, and its side street location in the sleepy town of Snoqualmie was probably what kept me from visiting even though it's only 10 minutes from my house. Recently found myself there one Saturday afternoon after a hike and was pleasantly surprised to see it crowded with a mixed clientele including families from the Ridge, locals, and some hip Gen-X Seattle types.
The brewery's offerings such as Copperhead Pale Ale and Wildcat IPA are found in many local restaurants and bars, but be sure to try some of the less known brews. The seasonal Spring Fever beer was very aromatic, and I'm always up for their Oatmeal Stout. The menu is surprisingly varied, typically with a good hearty soup and pretty good sandwiches. Tom's Turkey Special is a favorite.
Overall, this wouldn't be a prime destination if you're looking for a brew pub, but if you're local to the area or if you find yourself thirsty after a hike in the Snoqualmie Falls area, it's not a bad place for a refreshing cold one.
You ever enter a restaurant and all the other tables have that look like they have been waiting awhile? This place had patrons with that look.
Not sure what the food tastes like since they didn't bother to serve us.
Not sure how good the beer is since they didn't ask if we wanted any.
I do know that the service was pretty lousy today. When I tracked down a waitress and asked if we could order, she told me "just a moment", which turned out to be at least another 5 minutes, at which point we walked out (we were in there about 20 minutes total), along with another foursome that gave up waiting for someone to help them as well.
Pretty disorganized.
I see I'm not the first to adore the nitro Oatmeal Stout, or like the flavors of the Brewery Goddess Grinder. But back to that stout: it was absolutely one of the best beers I've ever tasted!! I'd have to characterize it as "sinfully creamy", and I haven't called anything "sinfully creamy" since I ate frozen lemon custard at Walt Disney World, in October 1986.
It can get scary for me at some taprooms, as I find much local beer is too hop-heavy for me. And whenever I tell brewpub staff that, they often suggest lagers, which I rarely like. Our waitress detailed their current brews, and was kind enough to bring me a few tastes. That nitro oatmeal stout was my undisputed favorite, and an absolute pleasure to drink. Our sandwiches took quite awhile to come out, at least 30, maybe 45 minutes, although I was so happy with my beer I was more concerned that I might finish it before our server came back to see if we needed more! My husband got the Muffuletta, which was fine, although I liked my Goddess Grinder better. It was tasty and had lots of flavor, but both sandwiches were small. An adjacent table had asked how long pizzas take, and were told "it depends on how many orders they have in, but we're not very busy right now, so not very long." Hmm, we'd been waiting 20 mins at that point; how come our sandwiches took quite awhile after that?
Again, I was blissfully happy under my stout-spell, so I didn't really mind waiting. I'd give the server a 4, our sandwiches a 3, but that beer was a 10. I'm pretty picky about my sandwiches, and can sometimes get cranky when they don't measure up.
The beer filled in the kitchen's shortcomings, and then some.
Ok beer. Standard brewery pub decor. I ordered the Pale Ale on nitro and wound up with a glass 1/3 filled with foam after the beer settled. Hey guys, if you're going to serve beer on nitro, let it settle properly before delivering it to the table. I'd consider trying a seasonal if I were in Snoqualmie again, but I'm not running back just because of the brewery.
mmm... i almost dont want to write a review because i really dont want anything about this place to change including too many people finding out about it. i love the beer, i love that its tiny and i can always expect to see the same people working there. the food is good. i get my staple item that shall remain nameless and usually whatever sandwich is on special that day which i find has yet to disappoint. im not a huge bean eater, but they are really good! have had the pizza and didn't think it was great, but i will probably give it a try again. never had the nachos but they are huge! all in all, this is pretty much my favorite place ever.
Decent for what it was. It's a tap room with good beer and sandwiches. Inside is small, no music, but clean. Would have given it 4 stars (the beer is awesome) except service was poor. I'll definitely drink this beer if I see it, but probabaly wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.
