5 reviews for Snake River Lodge
We stayed at the Snake River Lodge on a recent trip to Jackson Hole. The common areas have a rustic flavor with local charm and luxury. The entire staff was amazing - both helpful and friendly. That includes everyone from the front desk, to the bellman, to the bartenders and servers, and the housekeeping staff as well. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes from the town of Jackson, where there are many options for dining, shopping, etc. The benefit of staying on the mountain and being able to fall out of bed and onto skis outweighed all of that for us.
The room was on the small side. That along with the two double beds would have made me think that we were in Manhattan if it weren't for on of the best mountains in the country being right out the window. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size.
Some of the nice things that the resort offers are free bottled water from the bellman (huge surprise at a hotel), complimentary use of a Volvo XC90 SUV to take a ride into town or elsewhere, a great ski valet, and ski in access. You can't really ski out but it's just a short walk up to get to the lifts.
The pool is half indoors and half outdoors (even in winter). There is an indoor jacuzzi as well as one outdoors. The facilities were clean and the water was very comfortable.
The food was a little disappointing at the bar although I heard that the food at GameFish is amazing (we didn't eat there). The bar menu could definitely benefit from an overhaul. At some point int he weekend I tried the cheese fries, nachos, elk quesadillas, and gumbo. None were amazing.
Overall, the Snake River Lodge was an excellent choice at Jackson Hole. I would recommend it and stay there again myself.

Nice place with a great staff and ameneties, but overall too overpriced.
Pros:
The proximity to the lifts can't be beat, you can ski right up to the front door and they have a ski calet to check your stuff overnight.
Indoor/outdoor pool and hottubs
great staff
quaint lodgey feel, cool old-school elevators
right in the heard of the villiage, you can walk anywhere in 3 mins (shops, the mangy moose, etc)
nice views if you are on the east facing side of the hotel.
Cons:
The restaraunt off the lobby was way overpriced, poor service and the food was not top notch quality.
The room we stayed in had outdoor patios that were essentially shared with the neighbors so privacy is limited (people can walk up and try to look in your window)
the sound isolation between rooms is horrible, I could have logged every toilet flush within a 3 room radius in any direction.
Rooms were not very large for what you pay, poor lighting, not much of a useful desk.
valet parking only
Charming little mountainside getaway and perfectly nestled at the base of Teton Village ski runs. The rooms feature rustic decor and their own Avanyu spa toiletries. The beds are very comfortable. The TV reception isn't that great and some of the major channels don't have a good picture. It's about a 15 minute drive from the resort to downtown Jackson Hole. When I return to Jackson Hole I will definitely stay there again.

I heart you Snake River Lodge and Spa. You checked me in early, upgraded us, had champagne and chocolate cover strawberries and a 6 pack of Sam Adams for my man in the fridge waiting! We stayed here a week for sking, eating, elaxing and more sking. The place is beautiful, and his and her seperate levels for the spa were just what I needed! I did atlot of research and was hesitant at first, but our whole week was great and they made us feel like every penny was well spent. I would recommend making sure you stay in the newer part of the hotel that was built 6 years ago as the other rooms I saw while they were cleaning are really small! I would stay here again on my next trip out to Jackson Hole.
This place is very nice and nestled in the Teton Village. Great Place for families as they have a great indoor/outdoor pool. Plus a ton of other activities to do in and around the area. I never used the spa, so I can't really comment on it or the service. The concierge was super helpful and very knowledgeable about activities and were straight forward with what they thought was the best use of your money. Cuz believe me activities out there ain't cheap! There are a TON of transplants out there and you get almost a hippy vibe while being out in Jackson Hole. Our room was very nice, but not over the top and I think next time we would stay somewhere different....we just weren't in our room that much. We were always outside hiking, biking, fishing...If you are looking for an upscale place and you can't quite afford the Four Seasons next door this is a great option.
