Why have I only just discovered this mecca for all things alcohol??? World of Beverages is the best! They have an amazing variety of wines, beers, liquors, sake, EVERYTHING! The staff is the best! They are always quick to offer great recommendations, and so far their recommendations have been spot on. Above all else, their prices are amazing! Worth the drive from anywhere to get some good advice and great deals on your next libation.

This is as close to Green's as the West side has right now. The prices aren't quite as low, but they have a great selection.
Check it out. -

World of Beverages is a new package store with an abundance of fine wine and imported beer at wholesale prices. This place sells alcohol in a variety of sizes.
When I went, I ran into a few bartenders and they gave me some great advice. Additionally, they were pleased with the prices and selection at World of Beverages.
World of Beverages has every brand known to man, even the ones that you've never heard of. This is the only package store that I've ever visited with the fairly new Starbucks cream liquor. I'm sure its available at other stores, however the places I usually venture to are 90% smaller than World of Beverages.
Take a trip around I-285 to South Cobb Drive and check out World Beverages. They're located off South Cobb Drive just past Cumberland Boulevard on the left. -

As far as beverage outlets go this is a definite rotation. A large candyland of libations from around the world so diverse that you can't help but to spend at least an hour in there trying to make up your mind.
Walking in, you'll find all the liquor on the left and the wine selections on the right. I appreciated the vodka selection since that's usually my liquor of choice. The prices are a little bit higher than Total Wine Warehouse, but the choices were greater.
What I didn't like about the place is how the wine is set up. It's kind of hard to navigate and the aisles are a little narrow. Plus they don't have the greatest selection of Spanish and Argentinian wines ... huge disappointment for me. They do have a decent selection of Cabernets and Pinot Noirs though (yay for red wine!)
Overall I'd only drive here for the liquor or beer. The wine selection just didn't cut it for me but I did find a great deal on a Malbec. -

I have never been to this place yet. However, I had been on a mission to find an alcoholic beverage my friends in NY have been raving about.
After calling at least 5 other package stores that didn't have a clue what I was talking about, I was informed by someone at World of Beverages that it won't be available to the market here for another few weeks. At that time they will stock it. -

WoB has a fantastic staff and selection. Want to know about a beer? Ask anybody, and they'll give you the rundown and can suggest 5-6 other options which you'll enjoy just as much. Beer selection is great and the liquor selection doesn't disappoint.

Very good selection of beers and liquors, haven't scanned the rest of the store since I'm not a wine guy. The liquor prices are pretty good, a bit cheaper than most stores, but beer is a bit higher, so it's a toss up if you save, but it's close to my house and easy to access no matter what time of day or traffic looks like.

Massive wine, liquor and beer selection. Definitely fair prices. Different costs for cash or credit. It's a good sign when the owner personally thanks you for your business - well run.

This place has everything you could ever need to make your evenings really interesting. Trust me.

I popped in the other day to pick up some specific hard to find NA beer for my uncle and a few bottles of saki for my house. Then all of a sudden I saw it. This one beverage I've been looking for down south since we developed this new drink up in Buffalo back during the 4th of July weekend. The magical item... Boone's Farm Blue Hawaiian. Yep... that stuff you used to drink in high school every now and again. They had some.
-
You see up north you can now buy Boone's at any local Walgreens or Rite Aid. But down here, in the south, I haven't seen it anywhere, which suprised me... seeing as I used to get it back as a kid. But the other day while walking through Symrna WoB I spot (2) bottles of the blue liquid on a bottom shelf way in the back of the store.
-
So now you must be asking. What makes these so special... what is the drink!? Well the drink is called the "Thom Cruise".
-
The "Thom Cruise" all started from a drive-in adventure in Buffalo. We bought a few bottles of Boone's as a joke while buying candy before we hit the drive-in at a local Walgreens. The first feature was Predators... ehhh kinda entertaining. The second feature that night was Tom Cruise in a real stinker called 'Night & Day'. So we had already plowed through all our other beverages and were still willing to stay for the second feature, but were left with only the Boone's Blue. We also had a couple cans of Mountain Dew AMP. So we mixed the two together and created this amazing drink, the "Thom Cruise".
-
Now that is the simple version of the "Thom Cruise"... there are also (2) other versions of this drink that really get spiked up with some special ingredients. One is the "Thom Cruise: Risky Business" and the other "Thom Cruise: Eyes Wide Shut". Now I'm not going to tell you how to make those versions... you'll just have to be drinking with me one evening to discover that magic.
-
Thanks Smyrna WoB. You always end up having just what I'm looking for, right when I'm not even looking for it. You make drink mix-ology fun. -
