Smokey Hollow Campground
1 review for Smokey Hollow Campground
It's a quite nice campground, but your enjoyment of it depends on what you come there for. On the plus side, they have sites with electricity and running water available, there are neat little vehicles like pedal go carts and electric scooters available for rental (as well as golf carts), there's a nice video arcade, a pretty well stocked general store, a snack bar, and a great little pond with all sorts of massive inflatable pool toys for kids to play on (big rafts and whatnot).
On the minus side, there's not much in the way of hiking around there, and the campsites are carved up into pretty small areas. It's equivalent to taking a huge nice apartment in chicago and making 3 condos out of it. Where we were was nice, but I wouldn't want to be here on a big weekend. Also, check in is at an oddly late 3 PM time. It's extra to check in earlier than that unless they tell you otherwise.
Overall, this place would be great for people with kids that don't really want to 'rough it' as much as chill in front of a fire. The quiet time is a family friendly 10 PM. I would not recommend it for a group of folks who want to party outdoors late. But if you have a group with a lot of kids say 5-11, I'd highly recommend it.
