I ran across a good review for this, so I decided to try it out. I first went to their website to print out the coupon. $39.95 with a $2 fee for a grand total of $41.95! It was done in 30 minutes and the guy was super cool.
I just hopped over to Starbucks across the street for a Chai Latte and a sandwich and before I knew it, it was time to pick up my car. When I got back, I paid with a credit card and was off!
I will say that I showed up at 8am when they opened. By the time I left, there were more cars there. (6 or so) I think that's pretty much how this business goes though! -

This is the second time I've come here, first time was 2 years ago. I didn't know about a coupon then (they might not have even had one then) but I remember them being very friendly.
Anyway, it's time for the incredibly annoying and unecessary smog check requirement. So I came here just before 9:30am on a Saturday--I was the only person there. Was in-and-out in just under half an hour. Total was 41.90 I believe and that did include everything and the transfer fee. Of course, the guy was really nice and was almost excited that I brought my coupon. I felt kind of bad for him because I think he was the only one working there, so hopefully he got some backup later in the day.
They need to work on their waiting room though. I think they might share it with that car place, but the furtniture looked gross to sit on and beyond weird, there were manequins dressed in bikinis sitting in chairs in a couple offices. Yeah, not normal. Took a star off because I felt too uncomfortable to sit in their waiting room and opted to stand outside instead while it was drizzling. -

The test guy is friendly. And you get a good deal if you go there with coupon from their web site. The test usually takes at least about 30 minutes because a least a couple of cars are ahead waiting for tests.

This place is GREAT! Not too many people know about it. This is my second time here. I was referred here by my old mechanic because he didn't do smog checks. I was late sending in my DMV registration (It was due in October!).
I Googled them to find out what time they opened because if you show right when they open, you will most likely be the first one. It's located on Rosecrans, but you have to look for it because you could just drive by. Luckily, they had a website and there's an online coupon. So instead of costing $59.95, the total cost was $39.95...tax included.
I'm going to go with Tara T. and say that "Carlos" had asked me where I got the coupon and I told him the website. He said his boss wanted to know because the website was only up for a couple of weeks and I was the first to come in with it.

WOW! Lot of firsts this week.
They are quick and efficient. They have a small waiting room that is not much to write home about. However, there is a shop cat that kept me company while I was there. The funny thing was when he? she? sat next to my chair and pawed my leg for me to pet him? her? My dog does the same thing. -

This place is the best. They did my smog in half hour....no waiting! And there is a huge shopping center right across the street. I grabbed a sandwich, and went in one store. By the time I got back, my car had been finished for a while.
They have an online coupon you can print from their website too! $39.95 smog check......no hidden fees!
The dude was nice, the service was fast, and the coupon made it cheap.
I will be back next time for sure! -

Followed advice of previous reviewer and got the coupon off their web site. Friendly and fast. Took the dog on a walk for 25 minutes; the car was waiting when I returned.

The month was ending and I had not had my smog completed for this year's DMV registration. I called Carlos at The Smog Squad before I left for work that day and he said that there were no appointments, he worked on a first come, first served basis. He did let me know that there was a coupon in the yellow pages for my smog and to bring it in with me. I went there on my lunch hour and I was out of there in less than a half hour. Carlos was very friendly and worked fast. The waiting area is outside. he has a couple chairs and a table, but there was an umbrella for shade and like I said, the wait was short! If you get hungry though, Henry's, Starbucks, etc. is across the busy street of Rosecrans. I recommend this place and will come here next time I need to smog my vehicle! GO SMOG SQUAD!!
