Thank you Smitten! Smitten was one of my best wedding planning finds! My maid of honor and I had already spent hours sifting through books at several other stationary stores, and we were pretty sick of it. But Smitten was a different experience altogether. As soon as we walked in the door we were offered champagne. And instead of looking aimlessly through 20 different invitation books, we were handed a small box of sample invitations and asked to make a pile of invitations we liked and didn't like. Based on what I had pulled, they were able to guide me to the companies that best fit my style. I had an invitation picked out in no time.
We ended up getting our save the dates, invitations, and ceremony programs from Smitten. Kirsten (the owner) and Sasha are beyond wonderful. They spent hours helping me finalize the language and look of each piece and even helped tie the ribbons on the programs when we ran out of time to do so.
I should also mention that the boutique is absolutely adorable, and a great place to find all your wedding needs, including bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts. They also offer a Wedding 101 workshop. Based on the informal advice I received from Kirsten, I would highly recommend this class to any newly engaged ladies. Kirsten is so friendly, energetic, and creative, and she has dynamite taste and ideas. I can't recommend Smitten highly enough! I could go on and on.... -

This place is so cute and I could drop a ton of money here. I came in for the first time while planning my own wedding and with a Groupon to use. I had my eye on these gorgeous Alexander & Co. custom posters that they sell here and now happily have one hanging over my mantle.
I also ended up finding some other really great things-- I had spent the whole day running around the city with my MOH looking for a cute white umbrella in case it rained on my wedding day. We walked into Smitten and the first thing I spotted was a white umbrella with a wooden hook handle engraved with "Just Married." I also found beautiful guest book pens, thank you notes for my vendors, and great ideas for groom gifts.
They carry adorable baby gifts too! -

Well, now that I finally gave this wee little baby her gift...I can write about it! I've been biting my Smitten tongue until I could give the gift...its been weeks. So, here I am.
Now, you see...I had dined and worked with this little chick in utero (not me, her) for about 10.1 months. We have become quite close over these months, and I knew a lot about her before I even met her today...on her 1 month anniversary of entering the world!
So, the occasion of course needed some extra special fluffy items. A stop into Smitten Boutique proved quite successful...and I emerged with one lovely poika dot blanky, and 3 "lovies." Now, granted I had no idea what lovies were (and if you are also unaware, they are basically blankets with stuffed animal heads), I just liked them because the 3 I got matched the brown, pink and green dots on the blanket. But hey, thanks Smitten...you made me look like I know wha'ts cool for babies.
They even wrapped it tastefully in a crisp white bag and bright tissue paper and tied with a bow...far better than wrapping, and survived a few weeks in my car this way, too!
Smitten has a wonderful, carefully-selected variety of wedding items (think stationary, table settings, gifts, inspiration) in addition to a small baby gift section, clothes, lots of beautiful frames, books....oh, and...you get the point. It's just a gifter's paradise.
An absolutely beautiful store. Well organized and appealing to the eye. It doesn't give me hives like some baby/wedding shops, and I had quite a nice time picking out some things for my new friend :)Listed in: Madison Street Businesses..., Local Gifting!

I absolutely adore Kristin from Smitten Boutique. I married my wonderful husband this past July and used the boutiques services for many of my wedding planning needs.
I worked with Kristin from Smitten Boutique for my Welcome Bags including the product selection, ordering and assembly. Kristin has created bags and packages that are absolutely daring! She also has amazing ideas on how to put the "look" of the bag together and a format for organizing the wordage of the paper products.
Her process takes so much stress and anxiety out of the picture. I picked out a bag color and package, which included a CTA Card, Map, Candle, Mints, Crossword Puzzle Book, Water, Chips, Banana, Starbuck Coffee and a Red Eye. Kristin and her team assembled the daring bag and dropped it off to my hotel the day before my out of town guests arrived.
The bags were a show shopper for my hotel guests! People were absolutely amazed and so was I! Kristin also helped me pick out bridesmaids tanks, soon to Be Mrs. Robe and a flower girl tank. I loved working with Kristin. She is professional, reliable, fun and sweet.
Kristin has impeccable taste and style. She knows how to put a bride at ease while coordinating many of the important elements for her special day. I felt completely comfortable and thrilled with the process. The boutique is darling and a great place to pick up a gift for a bridal shower, baby shower or something just for you! -

Brand new to the West Loop neighborhood is Smitten boutique. I saw this adorable little shop on my way to Solo Salon and had to go in.
This place almost makes me want to get married. The design is pristine, feminine and cute. Offering wedding party gifts, cards, picture frames, jewelry and accessories, the boutique has all the fun little details that can make a wedding go from great to fabulous.
I really loved the picture frames, gift ideas for groomsmen and gift ideas for bridesmaids. The bridal earring selection was also pretty fabulous. They also have little ring bearer for dogs... too cute!
There are dog biscuits outside for neighborhood pooches!
So tell all your girlfriends who are getting ready for their nuptuals! -

Love this store! I also had a great experience ordering my invitations with Kara. She is so friendly and personable, and very helpful with the ordering process. I get so excited about paper products and wedding things, and there were sooo many choices, so she helped narrow the selection down. We ended up with exactly what we were looking for, modern, beautiful, eco-friendly invites for a reasonable price. And she is very willing to give tips and advice on other wedding things, which is really appreciated!
The store is super cute too, lots of little specialty items. AND they accept drop offs for the glass slipper project, so I was able to bring in about 15 old dresses to be donated. -

Great place for gifts or inspiration for your wedding. Bought baby gifts there and a vintage wrap for my wedding day. Also got a great idea there in lieu of guest book did a wishing well. Used tall empty vase; bought cards from smitten for guests to write messages on, then place them in the vase. Those messages meant so much to me vs a standard guest book.
Great wedding accessories. Love this place! -

This is such a cute boutique. They definitely have really cute/unique picture frames. I came across a review about a girl who purchased a wedding gift here for her fiance on the wedding bee site. I loved the picture frame so much I had to go buy one for my fiance. Here is the link to an image of the frame.

They also have a smaller size, and you can pick from various colors for the frame.Listed in: Chicago Brides

I ordered our wedding invitations from this store. Kara who helped us order the invitations was kind enough to leave the store open after hours since I get off work late and have to drive back downtown. At first, I was worried that they wouldn't be able to fit my budget because the store looks very upscale from the outside but Kara showed me the invitations that were only within my budget.
After 30 minutes of looking thru things, we decided on this beautiful Float invitations. They were right on our budget and it fit our wedding style. Great store.
I could see how some people would be put off by the store because it looks a little intimidating from outside looking in, and don't get me wrong they had quite a few items that were well over my budget. But it's fun to look around. I did go back for my bridesmaids' gifts, and the earrings I got for the girls were a hit. -

Ok, so it's a bit overpriced. But, it's a great selection of cute wedding and baby centric stuff--and it's locally owned. So ... if you need either, stop by. You've got nothing to lose.
I also had a custom headpiece made by an artist who works with Smitten, Erin Lindsay Janish. Erin was lovely, reasonably priced (or rather, the same as I would have paid for something premade from a big box bridal store), and made me the most fabulous vintage style headpiece. It was the hit of the wedding. 5 stars for Ms. Erin Lindsay Janish. -

Smitten Boutique was great! I recently purchased a large amount of baby shower invitations. As soon as I walked in they helped me find some amazing invitations for the shower. They offered many ideas to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. They printed the invitations in a timely fashion and were great about emailing me the proofs right away to make sure there were no errors. The invitations look amazing and I have received a lot of compliments!
The pricing is somewhat expensive. Not really for the printing but for the actual invitations, but I am happy with the final result!
Thanks Smitten Boutique! -

I moved into the West Loop earlier this year and was delighted to see cute boutiques on Madison. Hunting for fun cards for my best friend's bachelorette weekend in March, I stumbled into Smitten, found what I needed, and put myself on their email list. Such a cute store! Fast forward to July, I'm engaged and trying to plan my own wedding! Just getting my feet wet, and hearing from friends that I need a "Wedding Planning Notebook" ~ I knew I needed to head to Smitten. They had the #1 best selling planner, and I couldn't wait to get home and dive into it (being the OCD organizer I am). I also attended their free Wedding 101 class yesterday and it was great. Kirstin is wonderful and was able to answer all of my questions and lend such helpful guidance. I'm planning my wedding in Atlanta where my family is, and making decisions over the phone is tedious! We want to make sure our out of town guests have a fabulous weekend in the South, and Kirstin was great about brainstorming with me. I'm sure I'll be visiting Smitten many many more times before the big day, and so thankful it's right around the corner!

Eh. This place is ok. I am getting married in October, and as much as I want to support a local business, I can just go online, or elsewhere in the city to find the same things for half the price. They do have some super cute things--the front of the store has bridal picture frames and a wedding tablescape (updated regularly), and the back has bridesmaid gift ideas (lots of fun--albeit overpriced--little trinkets and interesting, thoughtful--but possibly not so useful--gadgets), baby stuff, a jewelry case and cards, and the decor is very girly and chic. There is also a huge section for invitations (which are beautiful) although I have never looked at the prices because the individual cards they have are pretty pricey and I didn't want to feel like I couldn't get something I wanted.

A cute little boutique selling various items for the bride-to-be; there are accessories, greeting cards, candles, babywear, and other various trinkets. Most things are overpriced (and the greeting cards can be found at stores in the Wicker Park area for half the cost); everything revolves around the theme for upcoming weddings and rehearsal dinners. Tables are placed non-strategically that prohibits casual wander-ance. Sales associates greet you with a smile, but you can definitely get the feel of what type of customers they are pinpointing and catering to. Parking can be found along Madison.

Such a cute boutique! I wish they had been open during the first half of my engagement, I find myself buying things I already have. But it is worth it. And they have a cute baby section in the back, perfect, because, I am going to be an Aunt! The stationary is amazing too!

We finally got the custom order. They said it would take 3 weeks. It took three months to get it. They were apoligetic about it but what was bothersome is that we had to call them to find out where our stuff was in the first place. Warning on custom orders.

If you are looking for invitations for any occasion (specially Wedding invitations) this is by far the best place in the city!
I didn't know where to start when it was time to get my wedding invitations and was pretty overwhelmed by the process. I went to several places for invitations both large and small shops and had no luck finding what I was looking for. I had an idea in my head on what I wanted my paper to look like for my wedding but every other store told me that I had to pick what was in their book and didn't even take time to sit with me and come up with ideas on how to achieve the look I was going for.
Then, I walked into Magnificent Milestones and met Kara. She is unbelievable. She sat with me for an hour and half during our first meeting and helped me customize my save the dates, invitations, menus, and place cards by taking elements from 4 different invitations and combining them together to 1 beautiful look for all my different paper. That is definitely something no one else I met with had even told me was an option. I immediately trusted her opinion and ideas. I met with her 3 other times after that before even ordering my invitations to make sure everything was right (I even brought in my fiance and she helped me explain to him why the engraved save the dates on charcoal paper were amazing :)
I highly recommend meeting with Kara Underwood at Magnificent Milestones for your wedding invitations. The prices are very reasonable and if you give her your budget, she will find ways to help you achieve the look you are going for while staying in your price range. She is great about getting back to you right away with any questions you have and totally gets the whole wedding planning process. She saved me a lot of time and stress which I am sure any bride-to-be appreciates! -

I visited this boutique a couple of weeks ago because my sister is getting married in Chicago. Being from NYC, I found it to be on par with Manhattan boutiques and then some. (I mean, how great is a black chandelier?) I also really appreciated how very nice and helpful the service was. Aside from unique wedding stuff, I found a necklace (for myself) that I love, and a birthday gift for my boyfriend. My sister loves it because it's in the West Loop and she can run in and get whatever she needs while planning her big day.

Smitten Boutique is a great place to shop for wedding and baby shower gifts. I found an amazing bridesmaid gift, a "bee gee bag" clutch. You customize each clutch by choosing the fabric. They also have unique cards and books we purchased for friends and family attending the wedding. All the store employees are helpful and super nice. Item prices are moderate to pricey.

Went in here today and browsed around for 20 min... there were 2 women working in the store. They were sitting at a table together and not once did either of them acknowledge my existence in the store. Never asked me if I needed any help or if I was looking for something in particular. I am just about to order pricey wedding invitations and they had the ones that I am going to order. I was thinking of ordering from them, but this first experience really turned me off. They made it clear they didn't want my business by ignoring me! Nothing all that special in the store. Some cute stationary, but nothing out of the ordinary.

A great boutique for wedding gifts and accessories! The store is beautiful and the products are amazing. A wide selection of unique frames, wedding albums, jewelry, & bridesmaids gifts. The store even has a baby section with adorable gifts. They also do wedding consulting and the offices are stunning! A must visit if your planning a wedding or looking for gifts for a friend who just got engaged.
