Hands down a 4 star burger place! We stopped by here after playing a round of golf at Tall Chief in Fall City. We were looking for a quick bite to eat and had burgers in mind. As we drove up to this colorful shack, we weren't quite sure what to make of it but figured we should give it a try.
There were only a few other customers inside when we arrived and we quickly decided what we all wanted. I ordered a strawberry milkshake which was fantastic and a cheese burger. The fried though, were just amazing! They were crispy and full of flavor! Even though the service was a bit on the slow side, the fries alone are worth the wait. If you're ever in the area, you should definitely stop by here for a quick snack or milkshake.
Greasy greasy greasy! The burger was fine, but a bit dry (missing In-n-out's secret sauce I suppose). The fries--greasy and salty. They probably could have used only half the salt and it still would have been plenty. After eating 2 French fries, you need to drink water immediately! I can see how food can often taste better if you disregard health, but in this case, it tastes too salty and it's unhealthy, double whammy.
Shake was nice and thick/-hard to mess up a good shake though. Overall, not my favorite burger joint, but there's not many choices around so probably your best bet in town.
Sorry fans of this place, it's just that i've experienced better.
P.S. Call ahead and order so you don't sit and wait forever!
Small town burger stand. Amazing shakes! Burgers are on the small side and nothing special, but they are cheap so what do you expect? Service is slow, but that is because they don't make it til you order it.
My boyfriend and I get milkshakes here at least once a week, they are worth the drive! We love grabbing some shakes then taking a short drive to look at Snoqualmie Falls.
They have $5 specials (tax included)...
-1 cheeseburger, 1 small fries, 1 small soda for $5.
-1 hot dog, 1 small fries, 1 small soda for $5.
-3 cheeseburgers for $5.
-Mac and Cheese (yes, it's true) and 1 small soda for $5.
Hot summer day, need lunch and a shake? Skip this place. Used the 'drive' through, and after waiting 15 minutes (they were busy), I went in and they had lost our order. They re-took the order and placed it at the END of the line of other orders. Had to beg them for my drink. Kids working there havent a clue - super slow and the burger was nothing to special. I wont be wasting any more time or money on this place. Cute, but not cute enough!
Way back in the 80's this place was like no other. Super Burgers...Great Service and looked squeaky clean. Sometime in the 90's it must have changed hands because it just wasn't the same? and the Service was not the same.
My Hubby and I went there a few months ago for burgers and Chili Fryes.
Chili Fryes were good :) Burgers OK (the meat was strange...almost gummy) Service was extremely slow.....and the kitchen needs a good scrubbing BIG time.
* I am giving 3 *'s only because there is still hope for what use to be a Valley Favorite ;)
Whoa, whoa, whoa....only 3.5 stars for this shake-shack of glory?!?
Inconceivable.
Listen here - Not much in the unhealthy-food department can lure me away from my rabbit food feeding frenzy. An In-N-Out double-double is one of those things. A shake from Small Fryes is the other.
No joke. These things make 8-mile runs worth it, which is really sayin' something. Think about it.
Mmmm. Burgers. Mmmm. Fries. Mmmm. Shakes.
It's all good. It's all cheap. It's all greasy.
I think their sign says it all... "We specialize in Grease, Salt, Sugar and Caffeine!". People, I'm here to say that finally there is truth in advertising!
This great little roadside stand is no bigger than a bread box, but man does it pack a punch. Classic burgers, dogs (hot and corn) and fries... not too mention floats, ice cream and sundaes!
Stop off here on your way out to Fall City Farms... you won't be sorry.
When I was little and went to Girl Scout Camp one of the highlights would always be when my parents picked me up after a week of fun, sun, and making new friends. We always stopped at Small Fryes on the way home.
The fries (or fryes) were served in brown lunch bags and the delicious grease would soak through making beautiful window-pane patterns on the once plain bag.
The red and white striped building doesn't leave much to the imagination. Burgers, fries, and shakes - that's the deal.
A few years ago I'm almost positive that the fry recipe changed and not for the better. However, they are still excellent. The burgers aren't anything to write home about but the shakes are phenomenal!
Best fries + milkshake combo EVER!
This place is slow, slow, slow.
The last time I was there, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and waited 40 mins for it. I asked about it, and they had run out of bacon and sent someone down the street for more bacon.
The fries are really soggy.
The shakes are good tho and worth the hassle.
They have some late-night burger deal which caters to the bar crowd, which is essentially what Fall City is: a town full of bars.
