We purchased furniture from this location and added the 3rd party warrenty as it was a large purchase for our family and we wanted to be covered. 3 years in there was a mechanical failure we contacted the warrenty company they sent a tech out it was deemed that the furniture was not repairable due to discontinued product. They authorized an instore credit to select new furniture all great to this point. Then we had to deal with the manager at the bemidji slumberland location who made it very clear if we did no relinquish ownership of original purchase he would not give us our new furniture. I verified with the warrenty company the only part of contract that includes slumberland is credit will be issued thru original store. They see no value in original purchase and dont care what happens to it. So per manager at slumberland Bemidji unless we give them our original purchase just because he says so he was not going to allow us our instore credit issued by the 3rd party warrenty we purchased. Said manager was very aggressive and rude during this whole process we ended up having to keep the failed merchandise and the warrenty company bought out the contract. As for slumberland in Bemidji very sad that they treat people in this way.
I'm a honorably discharged disabled veteran not that this has any bering on the way we we treated.
